Yeah, good luck Eagles fans. Redskin fans are pretty pumped for this game since we didn't expect any meaningful December games this year. May the tallest midget win.Good luck this week guys, gonna be a fun one. Meaningful division games this late in December are awesome, I hope next year we're all experiencing the same thing but with less pathetic records across the division...either way, may the best team win.
Not only the injuries at CB but the fact there is a 1% chance the Defensive Coordinator can scheme to compensate for the weakness at all. He's notorious for allowing our starting CB's to get toasted with no help, imagine now with our top 2 out. We are going to have to win a shootout.Line opened PHI -4, settled in at PHI -3. Over/Under 48. Vegas seeing a 26-23 type game going in PHI's favor. I concur, despite no Logan or Maxwell. Beau Allen can fill in at NT just fine IMO. Issues are in the secondary, but at least Rowe is confident he will play. Still, CBs being rookie Eric Rowe, Jaylen Watkins, and EJ Biggers? Yuck. At least Jenkins has been excellent in the slot CB/nickel role because problems on the outside for sure. Going to need a solid effort. Certainly shown they are capable of that. Hope Dr. Jekyll shows up and the pass rush of Cox, Barwin, Curry and Graham cover up issues on the backend.
At the end of the day, win a winnable game at home, and Philadelphia is in 1st place heading into week 17. Just like we expected. Everything else is just noise.

Looking like Rowe and Watkins outside, Jenkins in his usual 3rd/nickel CB role. I'm okay with that. Sadly, Maxwell wasn't playing at such a high level that the swapping in of Watkins will hurt all that much. Hopefully they stay on the field and Biggers on the sideline. Helps that the WAS passing O really struggles on the road. Pass rush will be key. Washington's offense is their strength right now. They control the ball, limit turnovers and can strike quick off of play action with Desean. Cousins is completing 70% of his passes. 70%!!! That's ridiculous. He's on fire right now and our defense has to find a way to get to him. Washington is also horrible on the road and in primetime. Expecting them to roll to 30+ is going against the grain IMO. Over under at 48 seems bang on to me. Cousins has turned into 2013 Foles. He could have an out of character big road game due to the CB situation, will be interesting to see. He is also due for a Cuz like meltdown game....doubt it happens against this secondary though.Probably right. Division game with a lot on the line. All that being said, would it shock me one bit to see WAS use 6 O-Lineman to give the QB time and mitigate against the pass rush/pressure (something they have wisely been doing) and see Reed crush Kiko and DeMarco in coverage? Washington is going to score points. We're too banged up on defense to think otherwise. And Reed, Garcon, and Jackson are better than Ertz, Matthews, and Agholar. But as an Eagles fan, you just have to have faith that our advantage is at quarterback. Bradford has to outplay Cousins.Washington is also horrible on the road and in primetime. Honestly, think the biggest edge is Mathews/Sproles controlling the game flow and setting up play action to Ertz, YAC with Mathews, Huff, Agholor. IMO Bradford and Cousins are a wash. Ugh. Of course that 2nd line of his will not be the big bolded one in newspapers and on ESPNCox guarantees an Eagles win.
After being named to his first Pro Bowl last night, Fletcher Cox was surrounded by reporters at his locker today. Cox relayed his excitement about the honor, but quickly shifted his focus to the Eagles’ game on Saturday against Washington.
“Yeah, it was one of my goals [to be a Pro Bowler], but I think the biggest relief will be when we win on Saturday,” Cox said.
A reporter followed up by asking if the Eagles defensive lineman was guaranteeing a win.
"Yeah, I'm guaranteeing a win," Cox said. "What am I supposed to say? That I think we're going to lose or something? No."

Good thing he's playing. Our cb situation is terribleRowe practiced in full today and will be 100% Saturday.
Who is gonna match up on Desean? Reed?
I see a 30-24 type game here.
Rowe stating he believes he will stay on the right side where he has been all year, and not slide over to the left to replace Maxwell. Jaylen Watkins gets that job, with Jenkins as the S/Nickel CB.Rowe practiced in full today and will be 100% Saturday.

me neither. On the bright side, everytime I have a bad feeling (jets, pats) we win.Yeah don't have a good feeling
Expect the unexpected. Not sure why people are thinking offense is going to be the problem. Both have quarterbacks playing who have been hot lately.

I'm extremely nervous. If I'm being 100% honest here, I see no answer for Desean and Reed. Chip needs to somehow get over the notion he's Bellicheat and not DEFER the damn kickoff! Get the ball, and get downfield and get a TD right away. You guys realize this team is 3 games under .500 at home over the last six years and that includes two 10-6 squads? I worry if they get down, the life will be sucked out of the Linc and the Skins (who are, let's face it, red hot in a way) might just give us our fourth brutal thumping this year.We have to win a shootout. I can't see anyway Davis comes up with some game plan like the magic versus the Giants last year.This.There isn't any outcome that would shock me, high score, low score, blowout for either side...no result would be surprising really.Expect the unexpected. Not sure why people are thinking offense is going to be the problem. Both have quarterbacks playing who have been hot lately.
I dont have a good read on the game either way, but I'm not really nervous. Probably because I'm not that worried about dropping two and getting a nice draft pick. I'm on record saying that making the playoffs would be a nice springboard for next year and you always choose playoffs over not making it. And I still feel that way. But a loss tonight wouldn't bum me out like it would if we were 10-4 in a great division and likely to miss the postseason.I'm extremely nervous.This.There isn't any outcome that would shock me, high score, low score, blowout for either side...no result would be surprising really.Expect the unexpected. Not sure why people are thinking offense is going to be the problem. Yeah I just don't feel great about this team or our chances tonight and we could use a higher draft pick with the lack of talent in a number of areas. It would be fun to keep DeSean shut up the way they did LeSean but with the beat up secondary I don't see how. I give us maybe a 35% chance. Would be interesting if make a run but don't see how we wouldn't get pounded 1st round.I dont have a good read on the game either way, but I'm not really nervous. Why 6 years? Does what happened under Fat Andy in 2009 have bearing? At home, under Kelly and Davis, PHI has been 13-9. Better than average.I'm extremely nervous. Yeah, I'll take a first round game v MIN, GB, or SEA and you never, ever know. Didn't we just win in Foxboro?
