I think coming into the league he didn't have the credibility to get much better than Davis, a Browns castoffs. While this season sucks he's had a couple good years too. He needs a guy with talent he can hand the D over to and focus on O and GM. I think we all hope he learns from the Murray deal. It crippled the Cowboys when Romo was gone but he crippled us worse (see that sweet fumble tonight) .I think your DC decision will show you guys if Chip can do it or not. I've been of the opinion that his ego has had him picking coaches that aren't as sharp as him. If he doesn't adjust things are going to get a lot worse in Philadelphia before they get better. His GM moves look very Vinnie Cerrato esque so far. Will have to see, it's only 1 year. What about the defense though, could it be run any worse? I think step 1 is bringing in someone that can run a defense....I think there is talent there but wow they are brutal.I still think Kelly is in over his head but the amount of drops by receivers for you guys this year is nuts. How about that Murray xmas gift? It's unbelievable isn't it. Another drop by Barner as I'm typing.Bradford will be pricey for you guys, hopefully you guys can sign him since we t makes the division that much better. Overall I was pretty surprised how sloppy the Eagles played. There's lots of blame that can get put on the coaches but good god do those WRs drop a lot of passes.
Who can he get now? Trying to think of potential available DC's either former ones or hot names of def positional coaches coming up.I think coming into the league he didn't have the credibility to get much better than Davis, a Browns castoffs. Will be interesting for sure but I think if he wants to stay in the NFL he can make it work.

Don't get mad at me because your coach traded away your best players for hot garbage. How much money does Philly have in rbs?Get the #### out jerkoff. It amazes me how Philly fans roasted Reid and McNabb on this board but Kelly a pass. You get what you deserve.
Chip spending money on rbs like he's using Oregon Alumni money. If we resign/franchise Bradford, no way we take a QB top 10. We aren't great, but we are decent enough to be better with Bradford + Top 10 OL next year then with a QB that falls to around #10.So a loss next week and we could draft top 10? Are there QB'S this year worth going after?

With Murray if it saves $5 million just keep him. Maybe he will be a man and try to prepare this offseason. So, this loss probably gave us about 10 spots in draft picks. Probably for the best, we aren't a good team right now, like it or not. Last thing we need (assuming we keep Bradford) is a rookie QB - we need grunts to fill in the spots. OL, LB's, etc.. Need some low round guys to contribute.
Riley Cooper is gone, I think Celek also gone, Murray maybe a June 1 cut. We need to resign Cox and Bradford, just hope we have the cap to do it. F'n Murray - that cap hit is going to end up costing us big time.

Bradford hadn't played in years, to think he was going to step in and gel immediately is unrealistic but still disappointing it never really clicked. He made progress and he is about the same age as Cousins so if he wants to stay there could be good years ahead. You have to hope these young receivers can progress.
Not sure what happened with Cousins if it was transfers or injuries in college?Didn't realize Cousins was so old/Bradford was so young.Given their careers, it's crazy to think Bradford is only 9 months older then Cousins. With Murray if it saves $5 million just keep him. Looks like he played 5 years at MSU (1 year as a red shirt), then 1 as a backup (to hoyer) and then 3 as a starter. Drafted after that in 2012 at the age of 24.Not sure what happened with Cousins if it was transfers or injuries in college?Didn't realize Cousins was so old/Bradford was so young.Given their careers, it's crazy to think Bradford is only 9 months older then Cousins. With Murray if it saves $5 million just keep him. Expect a full effort from the boys next week by Chip.Looking like a top 10 pick (probably around 9/10) if we lose to the Giants. Probably around 15/16 if we win.

I think you are overvaluing Bradford and what he has done this season. Nfl network was putting full blame on him after the game for all his misses on the clutch throws. He said he wants to stay, it could go either way. Always have the franchise tag if you have to but if he doesn't want to be here maybe we are forced to take a QB in draft.I hope I'm wrong but I'm calling it now--Bradford is gonna leave. After everything we all went though debating on this board, the one thing I've come to believe is that he's a decent--possible very good QB. He's the least of our worries. I know he missed Ertz on that play but shizza happens.
But, no way in his right mind when he's going to command decent offers for teams better positioned then us, is he going to stay here for this Chip nonsense. I don't think he's sold. Would you be? An aging decrepit line. A defense continually torched. All the BS Chip imposes on his players. Kelly so far having proven that he can't evaluate offensive weapon talent properly. Bradford probably can't get out of here fast enough. He took a one year deal and bet on himself and won.
Now what...?
Bradford has played great for the last 7 weeks. He is far and away the best available quarterback. With all the weaknesses on this team, they better wrap him up and not at QB to the list.I think you are overvaluing Bradford and what he has done this season. There's been talk of taking the cap hit to cut Murray which is an extra $5mil....if you have to franchise Sam then you forget dumping Murray for another year to cover the difference. Not ideal but he can be kept. He mentioned never being in the same system for more than a year and wanting to stay in a system and improve. He seems like a pretty sincere guy, guess we will find out. he's going to sign for whatever the market dictates. As the number one available quarterback (by a mile), he's going to get about 18 million, I'd guess. I am very doubtful he'll give Philly a hometown discount. the skins were putting on some decent pressure. he had some good throws but most of the drops were on the receivers hands. he did over throw a few but he cant be blamed entirely. that team is a disasterBradford looks better but man he misses receivers open by 20 yards all the time. Missed 2 wide open TD's today.
I have no idea what they are doing with that idiotic RB rotation..
"Great" is stretching it IMO. He plays very well once the game is out of reach, yes. Not sure if it is the "yips" or just how his game will always be, but it seems that even the slightest pocket pressure rattles him into mistakes.Bradford has played great for the last 7 weeks. I would agree though that Bradford is not their biggest issue. No QB in the NFL today would be capable of over-coming the Birds defensive woes.

I don't see Aiken leaving, and I don't think Jones is good without Rodgers. Benjamin is the guy I'd like to see here. We need that speed. If Nelson and Huff develop a bit more, and our WR's learn to catch, then we can get rid of Cooper and have Nelson, Matthews, Ertz, Huff, Benjamin and that's actually a decent group (if they can catch)Perusing the list of potentially available free agent WRs, the only name that jumps out as a legit #1 is Alshon Jeffery. He's pretty much alone in the upper tier, barring any surprise cuts. I don't expect the Birds to target any receivers that pricey, but a reasonably priced veteran should be a priority. Second tier types look like:
Marvin Jones
Rueben Randle
Travis Benjamin
Rishard Matthews
James Jones
Kamar Aiken
Any of these could wind up getting overpaid because of the general weakness of the free agent class. But depending on how the market evolves, one of them could be a viable target for this team.

I pretty much see this all the same way.I keep seeing LB as being a position to address in the draft. I completely disagree. Jordan Hicks will be back and will solidify the LB position. Our front seven talent is better suited for a 4-3. Graham, Cox, Logan, Curry starting d-line with Kendricks, Hicks, and Barwin/Alonzo at linebackers. Typical Kelly trying to jam a square peg into a round hole. Curry needs to be an every down starter and Jenkins needs to stay at safety and not wasted as a nickel corner covering slot receivers.
I like the young talent at corner with Rowe, Wadkins, and Rice. If coached right and put in the right scheme, they can contribute.
As for the draft, we need to concentrate on BIG O-line players, safety, and speed at the offensive skill positions. Tired of seeing our inside 3 on the o-line getting pushed around. Please, get rid of the defensive staff and implement a 4-3 scheme.
Can someone explain to me what value Riley Cooper brings to the team.

Sorry for the rants...
