They were doing a pretty good job of managing Carson for awhile, glad he's off the leash.

I collect political buttons. My collection rocks. I have "I like Ike" pins, some FDR stuff, things like that. I don't want this button.Welcome, here's your button and welcome packet. Let us know if you have any questions.Yeah, I am firmly in the "I hate the GOP" camp now.
The inmates are running the asylum and the leadership doesn't deserve the title. They need to be blowed up, fracture, and rebuild themselves from the ground up.Might I ask what it is that finally pushed you over the ledge?Yeah, I am firmly in the "I hate the GOP" camp now.
Can't disagree with any of that. Was curious if it was one thing that caused you to finally jump but it seems just a slow buildup of crazy that caused you to be done. It's a shame they can't have grownups leading their fights but hopefully that'll change by the next Presidential election (2020).The inmates are running the asylum and the leadership doesn't deserve the title. I prefer more process than policy in the sense that there is never going to be a party that I agree with 100% on policy because I don't think our government functions correctly to begin with. But I always fell more with the GOP in a majority of issues. Now, I find myself more and more thinking that I am Jeff Daniels from Newsroom on HBO when it comes to being a republican and I can't stand the stupid running my party anymore. The whole lot of them are still fighting for recognition and respect like they are in high school and the pretty girl didn't talk to them once. Can't disagree with any of that. Republicans lose USA becomes another Mexico and we won't have another Republican president in our lifetime.Let's say Republicans lose this election. What's their next move? Do Cruz and his cronies gain more power?
Blindsided by the McCarthy withdrawal, Republicans were assessing their options Thursday even as Mr. Boehner sought to calm nerves by declaring that he would stay in the job until a replacement was found. But in 1998, House Republicans had a strongman in their majority whip, Tom DeLay of Texas, to rally the rank and file behind his choice. No such figure exists today.
Some Republicans worried that the current unraveling might be even worse than 1998, which played out in a crisis atmosphere as the House was voting to impeach President Bill Clinton.
“Even then we knew we could resolve it ourselves,” said Representative Pete King, Republican of New York. “But now you have a situation where there are 30 or 40 people in their own party who say they are not going to vote for anyone no matter who it is. We have to end this. We look absolutely crazy.”
You're halfway there GBYeah, I am firmly in the "I hate the GOP" camp now.
How do you mean, another Mexico? Our citizens will flee the country for greener pastures? We'll speak Spanish? Overrun by drug cartels?Republicans lose USA becomes another Mexico and we won't have another Republican president in our lifetime.Let's say Republicans lose this election. What's their next move? It's happening already!Republicans lose USA becomes another Mexico and we won't have another Republican president in our lifetime.Let's say Republicans lose this election. What's their next move? Do Cruz and his cronies gain more power?
Still better than the alternative.Yeah, I am firmly in the "I hate the GOP" camp now.
I'd suggest it depends on who wins the GOP nomination, and how badly the election goes. For example, if Cruz is the nominee and gets spanked in the general and they lose a significant number of seats in the House, one would think he and his cronies lose power. However, if Bush or Kasich gets the nomination, lose the general and lose seats, Cruz's group can argue that "they need to return to the base".Let's say Republicans lose this election. What's their next move? Do Cruz and his cronies gain more power?
the alternative is a rational republican party focused on economic growth and limited government through free market principles.Still better than the alternative.Yeah, I am firmly in the "I hate the GOP" camp now.

Yeah this is a long standing NRA lie. The people who claim it have no understanding of the history.
If it didn't matter then why did the nazis disarm the Jews?Yeah this is a long standing NRA lie. The people who claim it have no understanding of the history.
The Nazis didn't "disarm" the Jews, since Jews didn't own very many weapons anyway (thanks to Germany's strict anti-gun regulations in 1919 and 1928, long before the Nazis took over). But if you want to look to a real-life example of your NRA fantasy, just read up on the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, where thousands of armed Jews resisted the Nazi attempt at genocide. If it didn't matter then why did the nazis disarm the Jews?Yeah this is a long standing NRA lie. The people who claim it have no understanding of the history.Ben Carson says the Jews might have prevented the Holocaust if only they would have had guns
There was not enough Jews (under 1% of German population IIRC) and those sympathetic to Jews, even if armed, to really have been able to made a difference. Nazi propaganda would have used it as yet another reason why the Jewish 'problem' needed a 'final solution'. Though a truly armed Jewish population within Nazi Germany would have taken more resources away from the fighting fronts and helped to shorten the war.

Has Ben Carson gone off the deep end?
I do believe its finally happened. Ben Carson has gone off the deep end.
Carson, the West Palm Beach neurosurgeon who would like to be in the White House insert your own comment here has made some strange statements in the past.
This week, he was downright offensive.
In his haste to prove he loves guns more than any other Republican candidate, he has decided to blame the victims of violence.
Of the Oregon school shooting, he said he'd rather go down fighting than let the gunman kill everyone.
"I would not just stand there and let him shoot me," said Carson, who obviously is an expert at what should be done in horrific situations.
Yes, it was the fault of the students who were slaughtered. They should have charged the gunman. That's what courageous Ben Carson would have done.
Then Carson took on the Holocaust.
I never knew Carson was an expert on so many things, but Jewish history is among the subjects he apparently is up on.
He said the Holocaust would have been less deadly if people in Europe had guns.
And who knows could the Jews have annihilated the entire Nazi army if they had guns? Ben believes so. Because he loves guns.
To top off his gun expertise, Carson later went on to say he, himself, was once held up at gunpoint. At a Popeyes in Baltimore.
Only one problem. He has no way to prove the story.
There is no police report. There is no mention of the incident in Carsons books, even though he said there was.
Think about it this is the man who is rising in the Republican polls.
Ben Carson in the White House? You must be kidding.
Breitbart is so stupid. I'm not sure there is a worse, more inaccurate political website on the net. I suppose World Net Daily.
that's just not true either. What ended the war was Germany opening an eastern front, a minor insurrection inside Germany would have played no role.
The Jews learned their lesson though and hence Israel will never allow itself to be a victim.
Which is why it is the number one source for Captain Cut-And-Paste.Breitbart is so stupid. I'm not sure there is a worse, more inaccurate political website on the net. I suppose World Net Daily.
I think Carson has a crazy right-wing uncle who sends him the crazy e-mail/facebook post dujour and he just repeats it.Carson is the one if the best things going for Trump. Trump looks legit next to him. He is crazy, really can't believe he was a brain surgeon.
What point is he even trying to make with the Jews gun thing? It's just another odd thing the weirdo has said.
He is the number 2 and Trump is the 1, nice work GOP voters.
Says the person who copy-pastes Breitbart articles right left and center.Jamesbrownkid said:That character was created by an extreme leftist. To say you identify with him makes you a pawn for propaganda
Wait- are these actually your own words? I'm stunned. Wasn't Ann Coulter available? You're one of those sick people that Drudge was talking about.
I'm one Alex Jones article away from a bingo. So when the cut and paster gets criticized for cut and pasting Breitbart, he defends himself by cut and pasting Matt Drudge. Brilliant.
It is documented that Breitbart has run with false stories in the past based on the rumors and unproven facts (just some examples): http://m.snopes.com/2015/06/14/breitbart-pear-flag/, http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/shariatexas.asp Anyone who links to them, instantly loses what little credibility they have.Any source that isn't "one of us" is stupid, yeah sure.
So every media outlet that called George Zimmerman a white guy can't be trusted anymore? I would agree with that TBHIt is documented that Breitbart has run with false stories in the past based on the rumors and unproven facts (just some examples): http://m.snopes.com/2015/06/14/breitbart-pear-flag/, http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/shariatexas.asp Anyone who links to them, instantly loses what little credibility they have.Any source that isn't "one of us" is stupid, yeah sure.
Odd that you haven't complained about all the Republicans in the Hillary thread and asked them to leave. Why are there so many democrats in the GOP thread? Get out of here.
