Marco is trying to check all the standard GOP viewpoints and he is missing the populist appeal on the trade issue that Trump has found.
He is too soft on immigration. He had his chance to really stake out an interesting niche by being strong on budget, the governor of a swing state, had experience in DC, etc...but he decided to be soft on the illegal alien issue.Kasich makes too much sense for this election.
He had a moment of extreme sense: the consumer pays for the tariff, the people suffer.Marco is trying to check all the standard GOP viewpoints and he is missing the populist appeal on the trade issue that Trump has found.
He'd be a very solid candidate in the general election, but nowhere near crazy enough to win the nomination.Kasich makes too much sense for this election.
tis the gift that keeps giving...almost feel bad for Jebster at this pointI just absolutely love the raw disdain Trump has for #######. He looks at Jeb and sees nothing but a giant va gina.
Kasich and Paul are my two favorite candidates. He'd be a very solid candidate in the general election, but nowhere near crazy enough to win the nomination.Kasich makes too much sense for this election.
Probably my favorite two on the GOP side as well.Kasich and Paul are my two favorite candidates. He'd be a very solid candidate in the general election, but nowhere near crazy enough to win the nomination.Kasich makes too much sense for this election.
I heard he might have had something to do with a balanced budget in the 90s....I like Kasich, but he never has a breakout moment. Even the 'moderates' Cruz, Christie, are on steroids. Get out there man, take charge. Him and Bush are just muttering.
It does look good. But Michael Bay? Hmmm. This Benghazi movie looks awesome.
Rubio definitely gets the most words out per minute.Chris Matthews @hardball_chris
Every time Marco Rubio talks its a serenade. Never a single clear point but a series of speech points he throws out. #GOPDebate
Me too. The problem with this whole process, though, is that the voters at the extremes are the ones who vote in the primaries ...so sensible candidates like Kasich stand little chance.Probably my favorite two on the GOP side as well.Kasich and Paul are my two favorite candidates. He'd be a very solid candidate in the general election, but nowhere near crazy enough to win the nomination.Kasich makes too much sense for this election.
He has a calming demeanor. I'm sure he's a nice guy and a great doctor, but he is no way qualified for the Presidency and he has said some strange things...Don't agree with Carson's Christian stuff, but I like hearing him speak for some reason.
To who? When the terrorists attacked New York...New York didn't stop being liberals who support abortion, higher regulation, higher taxes and a multitude of other things that are completely contradictory to what voters in the GOP believe and stand for. That's going to be the sound-bite of the week. Not really. Insulting the third most populous state is pretty dumb.Cruz is crushing Trump tonight. Not sure it will resonate in the polls.
I just hope that the terrorists don't take out a San Francisco skyscraper...because then I guess we can't refer to San Francisco values anymore....
Pot is never going to be legal, why are we wasting our time. And the IRS is never going to be abolished. Why are they wasting our time?
The leading presidential candidates of a major American political party are debating whether we should impose a religious test on refugees.
He's involved in Black Sails, which is awesome. It does look good. But Michael Bay? Hmmm. This Benghazi movie looks awesome.
You think that's analogous? Really?Pot is never going to be legal, why are we wasting our time. And the IRS is never going to be abolished. Why are they wasting our time?
I see what you did there...10% flat tax, yeah that is "genious."
Actually a BMO banker just used "vat" in a conversation with me yesterday. First I'd heard that, too.I have never hear of the V.A.T. reffered to as a "vat" it is always the three initials
Seems like a way to bolster another worthless department, the USPSCruz wants to abolish the IRS and you'll be able to send in your taxes on a postcard. Where would you send that postcard? A department? Of internal revenue, perhaps?
Allowing women to vote? You think that's analogous? Really?Pot is never going to be legal, why are we wasting our time. And the IRS is never going to be abolished. Why are they wasting our time?
The affordable care act will not be passed along party lines either. And the IRS is never going to be abolished. Why are they wasting our time?
Trump and Cruz went at it early, they are both tired nowNone of these guys are going to get a flat tax through. It's a complete waste of time to even talk about it. Never going to happen.
Has the entire debate been like this?
He's an interesting guy, just not the president and ####.Carson is just 'cute' at this point.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqPRwq3QJskLMAO at Christie laying into Rubio.
"You had your chance and you blew it..."
I think we can all agree that was a mistake. Letting them drive was an even worse idea.Allowing women to vote? You think that's analogous? Really?Pot is never going to be legal, why are we wasting our time. And the IRS is never going to be abolished. Why are they wasting our time?
The affordable care act will not be passed along party lines either. And the IRS is never going to be abolished. Why are they wasting our time?
You want to know the main difference between Hillary Clinton and most of these guys and Bernie as well? It's that she understands that governing is the art of the possible. Most substantive debate so far. Trump was challenged on the Muslim comment and Bush made some great points. Cruz clarified what he meant by "New York" - liberal - and Trump took him to the woodshed for insulting all New Yorkers. Kinda ironic.Hey guys just got back from a parent meeting and missed the entire thing up to now. Quick summary? Who's winning?
