***Official 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs thread : Pens raise the cup for 4th time in franchise history*** (2 Viewers)

They're clearly the better team right now.

What happened to the possession and crisp passing into the zone from the Chicago series?  Turning it over and dumping it in seems to be working well.

Blues don't have a line like Nashville's Neal line to give the Sharks fits.  No puck handler has stepped up.  Meantime, Thornton looks 10 years younger.  He sacrificed his offense in recent years to become a selke-caliber defender, but somehow added back his offense of yesteryear.

Hitch says that he will consider a goalie change in Game 4.

It's like when you have a really bad nightmare, and you're afraid to fall asleep again because you're worried you'll dive right back into that nightmare. Some time passes, you allow yourself to think happy thoughts, and then you finally relax. Then you fall asleep and dive right back into that nightmare.

I'll be at game 4.  I tend to be a bad luck charm, so you can laugh at my expense (literal expense...tickets are $$) if the Blues get back in this series.

I have not been following along in the thread but I have to say the Penguins look like the best team to me.  Anyone else feel the same or am I way off??

I've been crazy busy with work at late hours so haven't had a chance to watch the majority of the games.  The few that I managed to catch up until the last two games were all losses.  Jealous you are going, but can't ever seem to justify the expense.

Not that it's Murray fault but do you go Fleury in third?

Hard to put that genie back in bottle

ETA Suppose Fleury sparks a comeback that falls short and Final is 5-3.

Then what for Game 5?

Possibly but this game isn't on Murray at all.  It's not like he's just caught magic in the playoffs.  He's talented, was great before he joined the Pens and has been very good for the Pens since he took over.  I said after game 2 that if he looked shaky to start game 3, they would probably bring in Fleury.  Tonight's loss was less about him and more about the team just getting it's ### handled.

Well I guess they had to do that down 4-0 even though it wasn't Murray's fault.  I'm guessing Murray still starts game 5 regardless of what happens here.
