***Official 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs thread : Pens raise the cup for 4th time in franchise history*** (2 Viewers)

I'm sure it wasn't 100% intentional, but Yzerman's handling of Drouin was brilliant.  LIT a fire under his ### and now he's out in the last minute of the game in the playoffs down by a goal looking supremely confident with the puck after getting blown up earlier in the game.  Totally different player.

Yzerman still running the franchise into the ground though

Is it a true statement that Stamkos is (obviously) a better player, but this version of Drouin (that we've never seen before, God bless it) is better for the Bolts offense?

Definitely miss Stralman more than Stamkos at this point. Scary team when he returns.

Probably not, 50 goal scorers (or I guess more like 40 now) are irreplaceable

Hedman looking ####ty too or have I just been catching him at inopportune times?
He was amazing in game 2 and dog #### on D in 1 and 3.

Tonight was the worst defensive game they've played all year I think. No idea how they won. Bish could have let in 10.

How bad would the optics be for the NHL to review a hit that wasn't called a penalty that led to a GWG in OT?

I don't think Drouin is near Stamkos class but pair him with a natural goal scorer in Kucherov, and you can make up that loss offense pretty quick.

Luckily Drouin doesn't play for Boston, he'd have been traded for a bag of pucks two months ago.

The more I think about it maybe you're right.  They have enough guys who can finish and Drouin is electric

I'm no soccer expert but aren't all these NBC Sports commercials for the Premier League's Championship Sunday kind of meaningless now?

I was thinking tonight how they relatively struggled to score all year, and now when Drouin is on the ice everything just seems easier. I guess it's like a great pure scorer in basketball or a great point guard.
