OFFICIAL 2017 Training Camp & Preseason: News & Tidbits Thread (1 Viewer)

This year I haven't had quite the time to devote to many of the preseason games like I have the last few years.

This thread is helpful as usual, and is most appreciated.

Its a quick easy way to stay on top of general news, and a few important underlying story lines, that you may miss if you don't have the time to devote to every game.

 Thanks again Faust.

Cowboys undrafted QB Cooper Rush has been getting second-team reps at practice.

Rush has been a preseason standout, completing 26-of-38 passes for 283 yards and four touchdowns. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported over the weekend that the Cowboys would have internal discussions regarding Kellen Moore, who seems ill-suited to be the team's backup quarterback. With Rush playing well, there's no guarantee that Moore will open as the No. 2 to Dak Prescott.

Danny Woodhead (hamstring) is not expected to play in Saturday's preseason game.

It's not a surprise with Woodhead missing practice this week. Woodhead could sit out the rest of the preseason and isn't a lock to be ready for Week 1. The Ravens are also expected to hold out WR Breshad Perriman.

The Indianapolis Star believes Colts coach Chuck Pagano "left the door open" for Stephen Morris to get reps with the first-team offense in Saturday's regular season dress rehearsal.

Giddy up. Per reporter Stephen Holder, it was the "consensus" in the media room that this is what Pagano meant with his Thursday comments. A 2014 UDFA, Morris has never played in the regular season, but the Colts may be reaching "how much worse can he be than Scott Tolzien?" territory. The Colts will be unwatchable if Andrew Luck (shoulder) misses regular season time.

A long pass from Cutler to Parker. There was decent coverage, but Parker used his size to outmatch the CB. He's 6'3" and about 210. Parker's value keeps going up - seems to be Cutler's favorite WR.
