I think the question is whether the Eagles are any better than the teams in their division. It's only 5 games but their 2 wins are against teams who are a combined -50 point differential on the season. Among their 3 losses, only the Titans have a positive point differential (+ 1) but they just lost to the Bills today. Bottom line - I'm pretty sure they've just completed the easiest part of their schedule. Looking at the schedule ahead, yes they're going to have to pick it up. Big time.
Ya I disagree about our schedule. You can bash Tennessee and Tampa all you want, but at the time we played them, they were good teams. Tennessee had just beaten Jax on the road and was coming home. Tampa had just beaten New O on the road and were coming home. Atlanta also looked better at the start of the year than they do now. And Indy needed a few games to get Luck going and we got them as he started to look good again. I know it sounds like a lot of excuses, and there's no excuse for the way we've been playing, but I think we've had a tough go schedule-wise.
Our next 7 games:
NYG: Short week, Barkley hurt, season on the line for us. Giants not very good.
Carolina: Good team, but we'll have 10 days rest (which worked well for the Browns, Jets, Vikings, and Rams today) and Carolina will be on their 2nd road game in a row.
Jags: Neutral field, so not really a home game for them
Dallas: We'll be coming off a bye and at home. Also Dallas doesn't look great.
Saints: This will be a tough game
Giants: At home, and Giants not that good.
Redskins: Could be tough, but I don't think they're as good as their record.
Only 3 of our next 7 are true road games, and only 1 against a really good team. I could see us going 4-3 or 5-2 over this stretch. We likely will be favoured in 5 of them.
I like the way that chunk of schedule looks.
