*Official 2020 Philadelphia Eagles Thread* Humanity will never recover from the most horrible event to happen in the last 100 years: Doug Pederson pla (1 Viewer)

According to Ed Kracz The Eagles received two trade offers for Zach Ertz before he went on IR from GB and BAL before sending him to IR

I know we got some guys coming back and let the young guys play but should we have been involved for Dez Bryant? I know he's had issues over the years but it looks like he's matured and would give us a veteran with experience on a cheap deal teach these young WRs a thing or two.

No. Being a former cowboy aside, he's cooked. Hasn't played a meaningful game in 3 years. No idea what shape he's in. We already have that on the team in Alshon.

if i was a Cowboys' fan, this is the kind of play i would be most sad about missing from the team:

Peters and Baker both got ejected after that and the Eagles went on to win a close game.

The Cowboys were down big and had no chance of winning, it's not like any of their guys missing the rest of the game would have mattered. Guess they didn't think it was worth the fine.

so count me in as one of the nervous one's who is worried with the upcoming trade deadline. Makes almost too much sense for the Cowpokes to go after Fitzpatrick, and that guy knows how to destroy Shwartz defense. I figure Fitz would be a had for a 3rd, probably 4th round pick

Wouldn't matter for this week. He's not coming in and starting with no practice.

Doug's presser today where he wouldn't say whether Peters would be at tackle or guard when he comes back (which could be as early as this week), followed by Wentz's presser where he effusively praised Peters for his skills as a Left Tackle, seem to indicate we're going down a frustrating road...

Shouldn’t frustrate anyone at this point.

OL for on-air drill: LT Peters, LG Herbig, C Kelce, RG Pryor, RT Mailata.
Will be the 8th different OL to start the season if this holds up.
on paper this looks like the best oline we've had all year even with the concerns with Peters. wish they would have left Mailata on the left though, like many of you mentioned over the last couple weeks i thought he was developing well there.

Eagles 34

Cowboys 13

This is going to be an ugly game. Ben Dinuci doesn't even have a picture on Madden. That's all you need to know.
You would think, but this could instead wind up being Joe Webb game 2.0!

Haha man. I have seen this Cowboys/Quitter team before a few times in my life. This is one of those teams. They know too, that's why they are cutting/trading guys at this point.

Funny, I was thinking the complete opposite. Peters is cooked at LT. Would rather leave Mailata at LT, Peters at RG and put Pryor at RT with help. Unless there's a better RT option right now, I honestly can't remember who's healthy.

Or maybe even better, bench Peters, leave Pryor at RG and surely there has to be someone else to play RT? Anyone?

At least he's in the lineup. I wonder if Lane was healthy, would he have stayed in over JP. Maybe he's the more versatile player right now to be able to move over.

that's always the comp I fear whenever I heard about rando's starting against us...

Even Football Team's QB Dwayne Haskins apparently sucks hard against everyone - but plays against us and looks legit.

Patriots have discussed trading Stephon Gilmore.

Eagles won't have to worry about one Dal pass rusher this Sunday Night

@RapSheet

Trade! #Cowboys DE Everson Griffen is being traded to the #Lions in exchange for draft pick compensation, sources say. Detroit, winners of two in a row, is added a big-time veteran pass-rusher.

Was just coming here to post something similar. Way too much talk about how we just smash and I don’t think we’re looking at the same team.

I don’t think we are built to smash anyone ATM
Agreed there. But some things are built to be smashed at the same time. We crush em. Easiest win of the season.

No HULK SMASH?

Notable #Cowboys signings from the offseason:

Everson Griffen: Traded away

Dontari Poe: Cut HaHa Clinton Dix:

Cut Gerald McCoy: Cut after injury

Daryl Worley: Cut

Andy Dalton: Injured

Aldon Smith: 4 sacks

Greg Zuerlein: 2 missed FGs, 2 missed XPs

nice get for SEA for this price Per Schefty

Compensation update: Seahawks are sending OL B.J. Finney and a 7th-round pick to the Bengals in exchange for DE Carlos Dunlap, per source.

It's a more realistic comparison than we think:

  • RBs against Eagles defense this year: 3.3 YPC
  • WRs/TEs: 10.3 YPC
  • QBs: 7.6 YPC
Mike McCarthy mentioned today that Ben DiNucci's speed tops out around 21-22 mph in their running drills. Daniel Jones hit 21.23 mph on his 80 yard run (and fall) against us last week. :oldunsure:

On paper we should win by 20 easily. That scares me.

Tempted to pound the Eagles -8.5 honestly

I don’t think Dallas could win this week with Dalton. I don’t see how they don’t get blown out with DiNucci

That seems very logical. Something the Eagles have never been. Even our Super Bowl win was with a backup QB and half the team injured.

Teams are 7-9 against the Eagles when they have a QB making the first start of his career. Last time Dallas played the Eagles with a QB making his first start was 2011. Dallas won 14-13 with Stephen McGee (vs Kevin Kolb; Vick and most of the other starters sat out with their home playoff game vs. GB already set.)

The line has swung so much... people are pounding the Eagles.  I think we opened at -4.5 and we are up to -9.5 on some books.  That's nuts.

it's too much. Cowboys aren't going to be as bad as they looked.

I anticipate the young guys that are getting time over Poe and company to be playing their heart out for their jobs now.

Such a crazy phenomenon that the Dallas-Philly weeks of the last few years have become the friendliest our fans have been to each other.
Please, sir, allow me to admit that my team sucketh.

Oh no, my good man, I insist that my team is the more horrendous one.

Pish posh! It will be a bludgeoning at your hands.

Nay, we shall be the ones who will bring embarrassment and shame to our name.

🤣

I’m about done with Doug.  This answer reads like it’s from a moron. Nelson was TRASH when benched and Mailata has arguably played better than Peters. But yeah, he has to take a step back to see the big picture. Unreal
Doug is terrible with the press. Always has been. I still like him as a coach (aside from play calling), but I do question how much control he actually has on this team. And by that I mean owner/GM overriding his decisions. From the offensive coaches he said were staying then getting fired the next day, to moves like this.
