CR still looks like the worst CONCACAF team regardless of scoreline. But the Canadian D might be the worst. The technical gap between Canada and Croatia was massive IMO.

Edit - messed up the points in my head. Croatia will only need a draw, and Canada would need to beat Morocco badly for Belgium to get through with a draw.

I was only half watching at that point but the offsides rule is when the ball is played and I think he was behind the ball when it was played and thus cannot be offsides (you cannot be offside if you are behind the ball or in your own half of the field when the ball is played)

The player who received the pass was behind the play when the ball was played. In order to be offside, you need to be (1) past midfield (which he was), (2) behind the second-to-last defender (which he was), and (3) ahead of the ball (which he was not). Rare occasion but it does happen sometimes.

Germany - Spain was one we all circled when the draw was announced back in April. My heart says Spain is overrated and overconfident while Germany is ready to unleash some blitzkreig. My brain says the German defense could give Spain another 7 goals today.
