We got 2 outs to move a guy from second to home..come on. Just one base each, don't strike out.

Congrats and GL to the Orioles. I hate Nelson Cruz and it would chap my ### if he won one. That being said I've always had a soft spot for Buck Showalter and no one loves and respects the game more. I'll be rooting for the AL come Series time but I'll be rooting for KC until they are done.

Really appreciated the Tiger fans in this thread. Good stuff all series.

Real drunk right now but just want to say how amazing Buck was this series. Perfect bullpen management. The Delmon pinch hit, starting Norris over Gonzalez, walking the winning run in the 9th. He has been as much of a difference maker this season as I have ever seen a manager be

Showalter vs. Bochy would be pretty fun to watch if you're into great in-game managing.

I want to hate the Orioles but I can`t. I hated the As and Red Sox with a passion. How can you hate a team that loses 2 impact players and plays perfect baseball. Showalter put on a clinic for Ausmus...Orioles had a big edge at the manager position, At the worst it should have been 2-1 Baltimore right now. Ausmus had some bad position players to deal with, but Detroit could have overcame that if he managed the bullpen better.

David Price deserved better today but that is baseball. Baltimore vs KC will be a good series. And two well deserving cities.

Would be #1 HR/#30 SB team vs. #30 HR/#1 SB team

Earl Weaver vs. Whitey Herzog redux

Yep.

Tough loss, Tigers fans. All three of those games could've easily gone the other way.

The more complete team won, and that's how those close games are won.

Tigers had no bench to call on. In the most crucial AB of the year we had to send a AAA player like Romine to the plate, or PH for him with another AAA player in Perez. Don`t blame Perez it was a tough spot for him, and Romine has a tough time hitting it out of the IF.

Absolutely no bench on this years team. Not a single hitter to be feared, and the late inning "defensive replacements" weren't (instead it was JAG so Miggy or Hunter could rest for an extra hour).

As Leroy Hoard noted in the season thread, 3-4 SP and 5-6 hitters doesn't a complete team make.

Baltimore was the better team in this series, and despite the final standings, KC the more deserving Central Division team. Really weird how much those two resemble their respective clubs from 35-40 years ago.

Anyway, congrats Oriole fans, hope you go all the way!

Just want to say good luck Tigers. We're all counting on you.

It's a joke easy Tiger fans.
Dr. Rumack: What was it we had for dinner tonight? Elaine Dickinson: Well, we had a choice of steak or fish. Dr. Rumack: Yes, yes, I remember, I had lasagna.

And there he is.

How are the Twins and your adopted A's doing in the playoffs?
The Twins had a below average season. In fact I would say not good. Fired the manager so now maybe we can turn things around. Thanks for asking.

The A's lost in the wild card round. On a side note the reason I started following the A's was I worked for their AAA team the River Cats. Did some grounds crew work for ####s and giggles was a good time. The River Cats have now changed to the Giants after years of being the affiliate of the A's. Not sure how much I will be following the A's after a few years as I'm sure most of the players I got to know from the AAA team will be gone.

I don't think I mentioned it but congrats to the Tigers on winning the central. I like to kid around about sports even more so when it's division teams of the team I like. I don't take it that serious and I know you do so I can get a rise out of you. Just like I would expect you to take a shot at the Twins like you did.

As a fellow AL Central guy do you root for the Royals now or not? They seem to be the Switzerland team of the AL Central.
