***Official Big Brother Thread*** No Spoilers Starts 7/6 (1 Viewer)

Jessica could still tell everyone she can halt the eviction for the next 3 weeks.  They don't know its only good once.
They would call that bluff after this week I would think, they know this show can't go three weeks with no one going home.

I think Jess could have played/talked up the temptation better, I don't blame Paul for throwing them up if she was being all sketchy for what it is exactly.  He will be bummed it wasted his HoH but I don't think it will screw his game up, just be a dead week.

I realize Paul is annoying, but his thought process and strategy on this was pretty good.  He is good at the game and seems to be thinking 2 steps ahead unlike others in the house.  I still think eventually one of these duds is going to turn on him and he won't last all season.  For as much as it's boring to watch Paul "run the house", I'd do the same thing at this point of the game... let Paul duke it out with Cody and Jessica and stay on the side with bigger numbers until it no longer makes sense to do so.

agreed, plenty of time to get Paul out. Plus Paul has won a lot of stuff so far, it would have been hard to slow him down right now and not get yourself booted in the process.   I am assuming one of the double eviction nights would be the time to take a shot.

Jess had a snug look when Paul presented his nominations but then when they showed Jess in the DR, she looks depressed and played.  I think this was the move that Paul HAD to do and make Jess make her play with the hex advantage.
It seemed like she was mad that Paul didn't just take her word for it and go after someone else. She's played well so far when using her own game and not listening to whatever Cody says but her idea of telling everyone they're safe for 3 weeks backfired.....so far.

Plus Paul has won a lot of stuff so far
Paul winning HOH this week, when it was down to him and two players he totally controls, was monumentally stupid. It's stuff like that that gets people to eventually wake up to the fact that you're a threat they have to eliminate to win.

Cody ####ed up week one badly and got screwed by production, but he absolutely had the right idea.

How?

Jessica would be so much better off without Cody. She's actually a good player on her own. I look for her to distance herself from Cody in the near future.

Paul got the two biggest gifts of the season. Exactly how production wanted it to go down.
After 1 week of the show when CBS started the den of temptation or whatever they called it, it was a GIVEN Paul would win, thanks to the VOTING process.  Viewers who voted, probably, 95% if not higher, watched Paul last year, and since it's a popularity contest on that voting process, would you expect someone else besides Paul to win that?  I correctly predicted who the three winners would be....and I'm sure there were 1000s others who did too.

The only event that I felt was rigged was the comp for the first four evictees that Cody won over Paul.  A HUGE advantage for Cody to re-do the tilted box with the ball comp a second time.

Not seeing it that way.  House chose their competitor,  Cody chose which of the the 2 competitions to play.  He made a good choice.

Definitely disagree. The house got to choose their competitor sure, but Cody being able to do that challenge once already was the major advantage. It should've been a new challenge that neither had done before.

I said it before, (under my real name that can't post for a while), and I'll say it again. This season would be so much better if Paul had never been there. 16 competitors, all new to the game, would have been great. For the most part, they are all within the same range of stupid. It would have been fun to see that play out.

Can someone clarify, can jess use the hex multi weeks or just once? They made it sound like this is a multiple week thing, but I sure hope not

Only once.  She tried to make it sound like she and Cody were safe for multiple weeks, but that was just to try and get out of being nominated.

The best part of this season will be the week the house finally has the balls to backdoor Paul.  I am hoping this happens sooner than later.

Pretty sure its going to be to little to late at this point, him coming back in totally screwed her game up. They will go back on the block next week more than likely and Jess will get super bitter I'm sure cuz shes on the wrong side of the house.

I wish Big Brother would not tell the house guests any information about how they are going to actually do things.  It would create more paranoia in the house if only the viewers knew what was really going on.

You guys realize that Jess and Cody are probably going to be in the game longer than you think. Production has given them everything they need to stay in the game indefinitely. Say hello to the Temptatiom Challenge. Each week house guests that volunteer will compete in a challenge. The person that wins is safe for the week. So if Jess and Cody play every week and one of them wins, only one of them can be nominated. Then if either of them can win the veto, the other is safe. Voila!

While the odds are very high that this works enough times to get to the end, the reality is if it only works twice and they can mix in an HOH or two, the rest of the house will have to start turning on its own, and Jess and Cody might actually gain some allies.

Not that I'm rooting for them, just thought this was a crazy possibility. If this has already been discussed, please disregard.

If you're Jessica ask for the POV to guarantee they can't change their minds to vote you out and get surprised with the eviction. Cody goes and helps your game and you pocket the hex for another week.

It would be great to see Paul take Jess off the block with the veto and then leave Cody there. Then she has to decide whether to use her power to save Cody on his own or save it and show the house she's willing to play this game.

Interesting........ They ALWAYS have the POV ceremony on Weds, Live Eviction on Thursday.  No POV ceremony last night....... Why not?

this is the best move for both sides of the house.  Best case you get cody out and let jess keep her power.  Next best case, she uses it and no longer has it.

Yeah, if they actually show everything that has happened there on Monday (I think) tonights episode should be one of the best.  Its a lot to show though.  That plus the POV ceremony that was left out and the eviction they have to do they'll be tight on time.

Its funny how a few weeks ago I couldn't stand JODY but now I'm rooting for them.   I like how Cody got emotional last night in his little speech to Jess.  First time he has seemed like a human bean (as Josh would say).

Ha!

With Josh banging the pans on Mark, I hope they go after Josh more for that than anything Mark would do to stop it.  Just can't believe how clueless Josh is. Cody actually got it right with his description of victim noise.

I can't see how anyone would trust telling Josh any type a strategic info.  No way he could keep it quiet.

Paul and Josh kind of reminded me of "internet tough guys" last night, talking smack because they knew the other party couldn't strangle them.

Cody has the look of a guy that could beat you to death, while Paul looks like he's trying every trick in the book to make you think he's tough (beard, slick back hair, tats)

I was assuming that was going to be the move.  Matt would volunteer to be the replacement because that's what he does.

That was basically the "its not you its me" speech to Jess.  We've all done it...Wasn't the first time Jess has heard it.
He was right though and she was right too.  They could never function in real life,  he would beat someone down and get arrested the first night they went out.

Josh is a piece of crap. I can't wait to see him have another breakdown and weep in his room (probably tonight's episode).

I was watching that BB after dark last night (big time :bag:  but kid couldn't sleep), and they showed them playing around a bit about it. Definitely was real at the time, but then on that BBAD ( :nerd: ) they had them catching up and showing that Matt was taking it more in stride.

I might be wrong, but I don't think Paul is trying to look like a tough guy. He's trying to look the part of a rocker; he's too small to be a tough guy.

I wouldn't be shocked if Production kicked him out of the house if he continues

Its weird though.. he is a smaller guy.  5'7"-5'9", 150-160 lbs?

I guess being a Marine counts for something but I don't see him "beating down" too many people in this life.

he tried to teach the others how to fight and talked fighting for a good hour on that BB after dark. and he knows crap about MMA/UFC based on the conversation he had (well little better then JUST BLEED guys, but not by a ton. I think it is more his presentation like he comes off like he knows it all)

I can't find his height online, but he's a tad taller than Paul, who's listed as 5'8" (that might be exaggerated, I estimated 5'7"). So Cody might be 5'9-10", and closer to 175lb.
I don't see him beating down too many people either, but because he's anti-social and wouldn't go out much. I don't doubt a 10 year marine vet could kick a lot of ###.

Looks like Cody is about 5' 7" based on this chart.
