My first thought was now that he's socialized his Shannon idea pretty widely, he'd better get her out this week.

Oops.

There's a pretty high chance Shannon gets wind of it now - but that's still no guarantee she can mount a good counter offensive, she's probably still seen as the bigger threat.

Still... I wouldn't want her gunning for me on the show.

When the show first started, my wife asked if I knew anything about him, and part of that was the rundown about 2004.  She thinks he's a rehabbed teddy bear now.

That's what I would have done and I don't even think its a savage move. You want out, leave. Why should I change my game because you want out? 

Meta is mentally deranged and has a seemingly low IQ. That said, watching him, it seems impossible to believe that he would have went into the stands like he did back in the day.

I've always thought it was a punk move going into the stands like he did.  Go back and watch that...big guy throws beer.  He runs up towards him and then goes after skinny little guy still holding his cup.  It was straight punk.

 
Haven't followed the show but am I reading it correct that they put 11 celebs in the house and 2 already asked to be voted out even with the show only lasting a few weeks?

 
Did anyone think when that skanky housewife gave her speech (just thanked Metta for wanting to go home) that she was going to get blindsided?  BB did a good job of editing and wasting my time for watching Sun/Mon, unless I missed a hint along the way.  I knew Metta was missing his family dearly, but didn't think he'd bail right near the end.  

 
My best friend is a producer on this show and he said Metta is out there. When he was interviewing him for the show he said Metta knew nothing about it and didn’t want to know anything either. I haven’t seen this celeb version. Any good?

It's pretty good.  IMO, good seasons have limited meddling by the producers allowing the game to evolve on its own and have people in the house with personalities and that are willing to mix things up a little. This mini-season is pretty good cuz it accelerates strategy/ game talk and everyone on the show is a good communicator (no duds).  Only downside is that the volatile personalities were ditched early and other celebs are playing it relatively safe when there's tension.  

 
If you can't mentally handle being away from your family for two weeks, you need to seek help immediately.  There is something wrong with you.

The Rudy thing, I get.  Stress was causing a milk flow issue.  Ron is just p-whipped to the point he can't even manage his own life.  That's just madness.

 
Sitting at car shop and Rudy was just on some show called The Real (quite horrible btw). They were really kissing her ### which I’m sure is normal for the show, but they made a huge deal about Rudy being the first African American woman to win HOH in over 20 seasons. Did I hear this correct? Doesn’t seem possible.

I’ve enjoyed it for the most part. Besides the self evictions. Seems like a lot of scheming between and amongst alliances. Probably a good bbad season.

Well to be fair she didn't really win HOH, it was given to her at a random bag pick.

Nobody is defending his actions in that IND/DET game. But he's been working with a psychiatrist for long time and is a different person now. Clearly, he's still a doofus but seems to have his anger issues under control.

 
I'll need to watch the last episode again. I fell asleep 30 min in, and woke up to Metta sitting next to Julie.  :sleep:

I'll recap: some gameplay, a new veto is announced and won, ALL gameplay and use of the new power is immediately castrated when Omarosa replaces Ross with Metta.  Waste of time.

Not sure if the they said/meant “win HOH” or “be HOH”. Either way I find that be surprising. Since none of the super fans here named anyone previously, maybe they were right.

Not true. Danielle from the “Chilltown” season won at least one HOH.

I didn't mind him going into the stands.

Someone threw a beer at him.

Hell...I've struggled with the same hair trigger.

But opting to go at the small dude standing beside the guy who obviously did it was a punk move.

He made a "business decision" at that point...so can't just point at rage and hair trigger being the reason.

He went into the stands...and then couldn't back out so he went at little dude.

But I definitely applaud him working on those impulses and changing his overall mentality.

Meh...Rudy can hit the DR and self evict at any time.  But producers don't want that so they talk everyone into just voting them out.

Wonder if they forfeit their stipend by self evicting?

Meta didn't know how to vote on the first eviction. He thought his vote was to keep the guy, not vote them out :lol:

He seems to be a really nice person just a little off. 

 
Another bitter jury rewards the nicer person that made zero moves a win.  Good grief, in her jury answer Marissa said her strategy was to do whatever Ross said to do.

Going back to Russell Hantz it seems like the best strategy in these games is to coattail an alpha dog, and let them do the dirty work while you play good cop.

 
Ross played the best game by far, but he rubbed me the wrong way, so I'm glad Marissa won. 

The social part of the game is just as important as the strategy.

I'm not sure if the contestants knew that the voted out peeps would be able to go home immediately and watch everything and thus vote with pretty good knowledge about the scheming that had transpired.  

But if they did know this, then a lot of them said and did some dumb stuff that either would have or did cost them votes.

It takes an incredible balance of strategy and social to win.

Being the best strategist can get you to the end, but it can cost a lot of votes.

 
Here's the question I wish Shannon would have asked Ross:

"Ross, I'm going to vote for the person that played the most strategic, analytic game, all the way up to the end.

Marissa chose you, and I think it was a very shrewd move.

If you had won the final HOH, who would you have chosen and why?"

I strongly suspect Ross wouldn't have chosen Marissa, and it would have been fun watching him try to answer that question.

He would've chosen Mark for sure. He said it many times last couple of weeks leading up to the finale.  And it would've been the right choice.

Came here to post this exactly.  I wish that had come out during the Q&A.

I also wonder if anything would have been different during the Finale if Marissa fessed up to knowing Shannon outside of the house.  Marissa could have spun it as a positive because she helped evict Shannon, but I doubt she would have been smart enough to go that route.

It was, again.

I find it amazing that a jury can be so bitter...a jury filled with BB fans, and Chuck/Metta, no less...and how some of the things they say, and the way many of them played the game, are quite opposite from the way they voted. 

Omarosa loved telling everyone how she got the biggest threat out of the house.  It would have been her calling card in the Finale along with some of the other vindictive things she did.  Her and Ross also mentioned multiple times how they kept firing blanks at one another and then Ross finally came out on top when he got Omarosa evicted.  But then she turns around and votes for the person that did nothing except win the final HOH and make a horrible, yet faithful, choice to bring her RoD to the end. 

James too, all the guy talks about is the game, but then doesn't vote for the person who by far played the best game.

And for anyone saying social is just as important as gaming, are you saying Ross had a bad social game?  Because I think that's way off based on the CBS edits.  That's how he got to the end while still being a strong gamer.  And he was apparently super popular with the fan vote which screams social superiority.  I could argue it was stronger than Marissa.  

 
I think that Ross lost a vote from James when he talked about winning the bowl-a-rama challenge as evidence of his competition skills, not remembering that James threw the finals of that comp to Ross.
