There was so much noise of Bear fans when the boys were on ODisgusting amount of Bears fans ... reminds me of games back in Arizona in the recent past. This team is barely .500 at home since the new stadium opened? Wow. Saw on Twitter that ticket prices for field level are so high the scalpers can barely afford it ... no wonder fans aren't there and thus Jerry has priced out our home field advantage.
A few years ago I won the season ticket holder SB lottery when the Steelers went to Super Bowl XLV. I couldn't go so I gave them to my brother. I forget exactly where the seats were but they were pretty high. My brother said he watched most of the game on the huge scoreboard because they were so high up they couldn't see very well (and he is used to being up high as his seats at Heinz Field are in the upper deck). He said the stadium was cool but if he were a Cowboys fan he would rather just stay at home than pay Jerry's price for the upper deck seats.Disgusting amount of Bears fans ... reminds me of games back in Arizona in the recent past. The stadium is horrible. I won't go unless the tickets are free and HOF qualified. Had season tickets for the entire Texas Stadium. Jerry sent me an invoice for $250,000 and adjusting for the preseason at $0 value over $500/seat when factoring in parking for regular season games. This was after paying under 100 bucks a seat based on the same metric. Um, no. #### this team, I get pleasure in their failure now. If you don't want your fans to come, then expect your stadium to be raided by the other team, or eventually just empty.A few years ago I won the season ticket holder SB lottery when the Steelers went to Super Bowl XLV. Romo will be 33 next season. There just isn't a viable market for QB of that age with few, if any, accomplishments of note. The Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo both need a fresh start. Romo has been there too long and it is like GroundHog Day. It would be best for both parties to go in different directions.
Seems like only the Cards or Chiefs would be interested. To hold the spot till they hit on a younger replacement.'culdeus said:Romo will be 33 next season. We have Carr, Claiborne and Jenkins and we cover their best WR with McCrary??? Now I know Marshall abused them all, but at least give us a freakin chance with your best CB's, not a Safety.
As a recovering Cowboys fan I have this exact same sentiment, but with Jones going instead of Romo.'Da Guru said:The Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo both need a fresh start. Romo has been there too long and it is like GroundHog Day. It would be best for both parties to go in different directions.
This is maybe the most disappointing aspect for me. After Week 1, it really looked like Callahan had some influence with the game-planning and play-calling. 3 games later, it's apparent either he doesn't or he's as much of a joke as Garrett.I wish they would make Callahan the O-coordinator and make Garrett the actual head coach. Either that or just fire the guy and let Callahan be the head coach and bring in a real coordinator. Garrett cant do both. It isnt working.
Felix did show a burst on a run versus Chicago that I havent seen in a couple of years. But you're right, no one would want him.As for fixing what ails them, its hard to see any material improvement from the OL. That's the main problem. Well, some special teams units arent too good either. But everything else is almost irrelevant. Unless and until this OL functions at a higher level, Dallas is mediocre at best.Too bad Felix has looked SO bad he could be tradeable to some of the teams that lost RB's for help at safety or interior OL or even a pick.Kinda wish Baltimore looked better against KC but I wouldn't be shocked if Dallas pulls the upset ... playing up/down to their competition.Coming out of the bye will this team be able to adjust and fix some of it's issues?
Does Jerry understand, yet, that you need a solid OL group to succeed? Not trying to be snarky. But, we had ample opportunity to address this group in FA this year and didn't. And, this after Romo sustained 3 major injuries over the last couple of years. So, why would he slap his forehead this upcoming year and say, "Ohhhhh, NOW I get it." ?I wonder what the chances are that we trade for some O-line help? This year looks to be a wash otherwise.Nick Mangold? Next year will be the last chance at the playoffs imo....with the core group. We have a lot of cap available next year. Perhaps we can address the Oline. If it doesn't materialize, I could see us moving some big names.
Sadly, I agree with Aikman here. But, I don't think it's an issue with the Dallas/Texas culture. How could it be? Fans give such a #### about football in that region of the country, millions upon millions flock to high school football games every Friday and go absolutely nuts. Even the Houston Texans have been partially built on the identity of having a massive--and probably the best--tailgating in the country. There's a culture around Sundays in Houston, and something as simple as that translates into an ear-popping experience at the opening kickoff. Go to a Cowboys pregame, and it's pathetic. Just a couple of random tents around the perimeter. And, I don't think it's a JerryWorld issue, either. This was the same thing during the Schramm era in Irving, TX.So much of this has to do with the identity of the team. My experiences in NE, SF, and DAL during the eras of Young, Aikman, and Brady...all pretty subdued from a fan perspective. Very businesslike personalities to those teams...and not surprisingly, really boring crowds (Gillette is by far the lamest of them all). Whereas, go to a Ravens or Seahawks games, how much fun is THAT? It's crazy. Nothing about the culture of Baltimore or Seattle would predict this, but it's the culture of the teams (behind Ray Lewis or the "12th Man") that forge the identity fans buy into and go absolutely bonkers.Troy Aikman: Cowboys rarely had loud home crowds; a lot of Dallas fans go 'to be seen'

It was a strange sound for Cowboys fans to hear -- Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler hit receiver Brandon Marshall for a 31-yard touchdown pass late in the 4th quarter of their Monday Night Football match up with Dallas, and large parts of Cowboys Stadium erupted in cheers.
That's because the stadium where the Cowboys play their home games was littered with Bears fans who out-screamed the home supporters much of the night. Marshall even went so far as to say it "felt like a home game" on Twitter.
But the scene (and the sounds) during the game didn't surprise former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman, who said quiet home crowds were commonplace during his tenure with the team.
"I don’t think Dallas has ever really had a great home field advantage," Aikman said last week during an interview on KTCK-AM 1310 The Ticket. "What I’ve heard is that, 'Wow, they really lost home field advantage when they left Texas Stadium.' Texas Stadium really wasn’t that different. Having played playoff games in Texas Stadium, that stadium was rocking, it was great. ... But when we would play in Philadelphia, New York and walk out of the tunnel, I would have to be yelling at the top of my lungs for guys to hear me. And you get on the plane for the flight home and your head would be pounding, you wouldn’t have a voice, and that’s just the way that it was. There was no way you could go down there near the goal line and use hard count in an opposing stadium. And yet in Texas Stadium, teams did it all the time."
Aikman would know. The Hall of Famer played 85 regular season games and eight playoff contests in Texas Stadium during his time with the Cowboys, and while he was much better at home (56-29) than on the road (38-42) throughout his career, that could speak to the difficulty of playing in inhospitable away venues as much as anything.
So what's the reason for the Cowboys' quiet crowds? Aikman says it's simply the culture of Dallas sports fans.
"I think for a large part – and the fans don’t want to hear this – a lot of the people that attend sports in this town, they’re there because it’s kind of just a place to be seen," Aikman said. "I didn’t know anybody who went to Rangers games, and then when they started winning and going to World Series, everybody’s wearing Rangers hats and saying, 'Oh yeah, I’m a big Rangers fan.'
"I’ve always said Dallas isn’t so much a sports town as it is a winner’s town. And that’s not that unique. Most towns are like that. There are very few towns like Chicago where you can go out there and go 4-12 and they’re stilling selling out stadiums. That’s pretty unique. But Dallas, they pull for their winners, and as we saw in the Tampa game, when an opposing offense can get down there on the 10-yard line and they’re drawing the home team offsides, that’s different. You’re not seeing that in some of these other places."

I've only met Cowboy fans that live in cities with other teams and they seem pretty hardcore.
I'm with you. My biggest grip is his relationship with Romo. Too buddy, buddy.Jason Garret is the worst game manager in the NFL. Enough said.
Cowboys are running the ball all over this Ravens team, even with our practice squad guy. They have a time out. Why not run the ball and make the field goal a little easier, and then call the time out? Horrible decision making. Why throw a pass like Romo threw? That makes no sense. Horrible call. Why reward the guy who just dropped the game tying extra point that hit him in his hands? Awful.
Again, different week, same crap. Romo makes a horrible decision in a position to get, at worst, a field goal. Penalties over and over.
Nothing worse than losing a winnable game. No reason to have put Bailey in that position.
I am really done with Jason Garret. I am at the point where I think he needs to go. Although I really dont know that it will do any good with Jerry Jones running the team. No good coach will ever come to Dallas again while he is there. He loves having his boy puppet.
I thought you were done here? That didn't last long.Loss is because of stupid penalties. I blame Garrett for lack of discipline.
Never said I was done here. Done talking about Hakeem Nicks for today, yes. Complaining about the Cowboys is a daily necessity.'ConnSKINS26 said:I thought you were done here? That didn't last long.'N Zone said:Loss is because of stupid penalties. I blame Garrett for lack of discipline.

Did they pull you back in, they pulled me back and, then pulled the fricken rug out from under me again. This team drives me nuts. This game vs the Ravens is the type of game that Dallas wins. When there is no expectations and everyone has counted them out. Just saying. They have no business winning this game but I can see them winning just to pull us back in to thinking they still have a shot.
The only game I can remember where a team totally physically smashed the other had the ball for 40 minutes and still somehow find a way to lose.Wow that last 20 some seconds was all time stupid. Dez you had a great game but finish it. That 2 point conversion drop was horrid. Right there from Romo. Wake the F up in crunch time Cowboys. The chop block that was called vs Felix Jones was a joke and did by the way cost Dallas the game. It cost Dallas like 20-30 seconds to get them yards back in the next two plays. Let's not forget on that play I believe it was Ogletree that dropped a perfectly thrown pass from Romo that would have been( should have been a td). This team is just a walking time bomb in the last minutes of a game. HORRIBLE.There was a Dallas penalty on that play too. Wouldn't have counted.Did they pull you back in, they pulled me back and, then pulled the fricken rug out from under me again. How many times can we out play, but out mistake teams and lose?
I don't know about anybody else, but the lack of focus and effort on this team....the complete absence of a winning attitude...that's been the most disgusting part about rooting for this team. If they don't give a ####, why should I ?I thought Garrett was going to come in and change the culture of the team. But, this is just more of the same under-prepared, poorly-managed Cowboys teams we've had since Jimmy left. This is 2 decades of the same bull####, if you ask me.@dmn_cowboys: Kevin Ogletree on lack of hustle on final play: ‘That’s a personal mistake for sure’: IRVING — Kevin Ogletree sa... http://t.co/0blGnq65
Pretty much sums it up. I have been as die hard as they come, but it's to the point of embarrassment. I was spoiled by the 90's boys. We'll likely never see a team that dominant in the NFL, much less this disaster of ineptitude.I thought Garrett was going to come in and change the culture of the team.
