I would definitely agree that bf3 is more "twitchy" than Bc2 was. (although still nowhere near the call of duty franchise, which I hate and am terrible at playing) I think the running around aspect is fine, but maybe its different on the console. I agree that your character probably felt heavier in Bc2, but I don't mind it.Mainly the feel of the game. On console it felt like they went for the COD experience and put your guy on skates compared to the weighted feeling in the past. The atmosphere and levels of the game felt off and well below BC2. For me it just seemed like it was designed for the mainstream gamer, which to be fair is their goal if they want to compete with COD, but that is not what I love about the BF experience. Also on console the destruction is basically non existent and that is a major downer and removes so many gameplay options.October 29th.
It doesn't seem like there's a ton of changes to the core game play. Madshot, I know you're a console player, so you'll at least get the benefit of 64 player MP if you upgrade to a PS3 or xbox 1.
What exactly did you not like about Bf3?
.
Destruction definitely took a step back in Bf3. No questions about it. However, that's being changed in Bf4. You can take down entire skyscrapers (not a scripted event, you actually have to destroy the supports below the building) as well as blow out the pavement below a tank to make it drop into the underground area below. At this point, we've only seen pre-alpha footage (so the game was missing a lot of textures) but it looked pretty awesome.
Some good examples of the destruction here
although nowadays I try to only use it on really tight maps, if I'm just having an AWFUL play session or if my team is getting railed by a bunch of guys like the ones you describe.
), but I'll see what I can figure out tomorrow.
