Loved the two episodes before the finale. The finale, on the other hand, made me quit caring about nearly every single character on the show. Bad ### dude going crazy and burning down the whole compound was beyond stupid. Chris, Nick? Fine, do the entire series a favor and just die. Strand? Useless wuss now, only good for shedding tears. Nick's dad? Yea, go die with your son. The teenage girl has always been beyond stupid so I never really cared what happened to her. Ugh. Just... ugh. The show went from Fear the Last Ship to Fear the Walking Loon. So utterly disappointing to me.

someone in the writers room has a boner for Chris covering himself in blood
They don't know what to do with the special effects people when they go through another episode without any kills in it.  Killing off the mom(?) by locking her in the cell with all the infected and not showing her getting torn limb from limb by all those that she had been protecting must have been a nice budget saving move, so they could splurge on a little more guts and blood on junkie Depp

Good points on the pre-finale episodes. It seemed like the lull at the beginning and the not actually showing the initial spread (like most of us wanted to see) was starting to fade and they were starting to show a little promise. Then it all went to hell, especially the finale.

Mark my words, the mom got out when Blades went in to torch the place. I'd bet she makes another appearance. Is there something people have against closing doors when it comes to zombies? That said, how the hell did Blades get the keys? Nick's mom took the keys when she looked Celia in with the zombies. OK, one more thing that bothers me. I will be really surprised if I bother to watch another episode.

He got the keys from the guy he beat up to escape

Alex is the best character on the show, they need to bring her back next season. she & Alicia should take over the yacht, ditch the rest of the family, throw on some bikinis, and sail for Ibiza.

Wouldn't surprise me.  Like any of these groups would ever find each other without communications or a designated meeting point.  But, somehow they'll all end up in Cabo or back in LA together somehow.

That ending was so freaking horrible.  Mom spent so much effort concerning herself with what Nick was doing and who Nick was talking to all the time and then.....you want to go live with the zombies, ok see ya later.

She's been dealing with his addiction for a long time and realized at that point it was useless to force him to go with her.

That might have been the dumbest episode I've ever seen. I'm going looking for my son, without shoes. Because?  Nic just washes the zombie blood out of his wife beater.  :lmao: .  Why even shower with it on? Travis lives in LA and knows zero Spanish?  Not even gracias for the Agua? Good thing his feet aren't bad enough to sprint after Chris. Mexican lady interrogates the interigator and he starts seeing visions of his dead wife, come on.  Zombies not even attracted to the truck at the end   As it drives out the gate, how'd it get inside the gate again?

The whole Chris character is beyond stupid.
yeah- all of this.

plus ruben blades doing the crazy because crazy+bad-writers = anything goes. can't have a safe compound around- must nuke it so we can have the story be about them wandering around getting into hijinx and stuff.

This show should have had maybe four main characters instead of like 17 or 22 or whatever the heck it is. Then AMC could probably afford to show things like Celia being killed by zombies or Daniel catching on fire and then dropping dead.

Odds of a bottle episode with Travis, Chris, and some zombies during the second half of the season?

My magic 8 ball states, "Signs are good."

Binge watched the season last night, pretty rough. The story was all over the place and as many others mentioned I don't like the characters at all. Nick is the only one I found at least interesting. The whole Chris story line was just brutal. I'll watch again but not live. If I'm board some night will power watch it from the DVR again after the season is over.

End of summer premiere on last night.  60 minutes of just Nick walking around being a doofus, with a little snippet of his back story.  Just terrible.

Simply horrible. I'm done here. The guys with rifles and pistol getting killed by slow moving herd was beyond laughable.
OMG..  tough guy empties a revolver into a crowd of, maybe, 50 walkers.  Then stands there and stares at them as if they all should be on the ground.  Then fumbles as he tries to reload the gun.  WTF?

Hey, genius, just run back to the jeep.  Simple.  Just run back to the jeep.

Yeah it was straight out of Austin powers

saw the thread bumped, and then found myself feeling cranky that for some reason I'm supposed to watch this next season.

and then I remembered... I have free will! I can do whatever I want!

:oldunsure:

is the wife reading this?

I noticed that my DVR was recording old episodes of this show over the weekend -- AMC must have been doing a marathon as a lead-up to the season premiere.  That prompted me to un-record the series.  Sounds like I made the right call.

Honestly, TWD has about half a season to turn things around or it's off my DVR too.  Last season was pretty terrible, but not quite "Fear"-level terrible.

Holy crap, I mean holy effing #####.  I saw this in my dvr last night and said screw it.  This may have been the worst written, most vague and dumbest episode of any series in the entire history of television.  So many "wtf" level.

For starters where are the zombies, Nick is just walking around ghost towns and nothing is around.  He just sleeps wherever and nothing.  Then the scene with the dogs is LOL funny as is him eating the freshly killed dog.  WTF is that?  Then he joins in with the pack for some random reason.  Another seriously WTF is that moment.  Then the bad guys stop and shot the pack and Nick just stays in there acting stupid and the dude with the revolver is surprised when he gets withing 10 yards of the pack and runs out of bullets from his revolver.  Then the writers subtly imply that Nick feeds on the bad dude.  I mean who is writing this garbage.   Then the good guys see him in the pack, another WTF moment as how could they ever tell him apart?  Then decide to get him but leave him in the middle of the road.

I could go on and on but this show is some kind of stupid.

Incredibly bad. A total :tfp:   that I could not stop watching. The dumbest part was the guy dropping bullets and the slow as molasses zombies are able to grab him. Some of the worst writing in the history of writing. No one and I mean no one stands there and lets the zombies feast on them. You walk back to the truck, get in it, blow away a few more and leave. Gawd awful. Can't wait for next week's #### show.

if it wasn't for stupidity, shows like the WD and FTWD  would run for one or two seasons and end,   there'd be nothing left to show except for a happy group of people living their boring lives peacefully somewhere in isolation, rebuilding society slowly but surely
