Brunell was drafted in '94, never started for the Pack, only played in 2 games, had ZERO INT's and only 1 fumble. Brunell did replace Favre (hip injury), October 20, 1994, and did muff a snap (deep in Vike territory), but did score the Pack's only TD on a 5 yard run. The Pack lost 13-10 in OT and, yes, the Vikes won the division. There weren't turnovers, there was ONE turnover by Brunell. Considering it happened in mid October, I would say there were a lot of other factors that played into Minnesota winning the division title that year. I wouldn't call it monumental.BTW, you did forget about Mark Brunell. His turnovers in a late 80's, or early 90's game versusthe Vikes was monumental in winning a divisional title.I humblely disagree. Don "the Magic Man" Majkowski was by far the best of that sorry 'I Love the 80's' bunch. The Magic Man went on a tear one year with a 3 or 4 game winning streak.Hey, in 1992 we traded our 1st round pick for a guy who was a 2nd round pick the previous season and did nothing notable except miss the team picture. That turned out okay.
Aaron Rodgers may be a bust, but the risk/reward ratio is so strong that you have to take a shot at him. It may take several more shots to find a guy near the level of Favre.
Just to remind you, these are some of the QBs that started before Favre.
Blair Kiel
Don Majkowski
Mike Tomczak
Anthony Dilweg
Randy Wright
Vince Ferragamo
Chuck Fusina
Jim Zorn
Lynn Dickey (the best of this list)
Rich Campbell
David Whitehurst
Considering you couldn't remember if it was late-80's or early-90's when Brunell played, I'm going to have to publicly laugh at your assertation that Majik was a better QB than Lynn Dickey.
