That's only because she exercises her 5th amendment right more often. She lies less frequently and her lies are less divorced from reality.
GMAFB.She lies less frequently and her lies are less divorced from reality.
The context of the conversation already taking place was about NATO. So you'll forgive me if I naturally concluded that's what you were talking about. You must not read the posts you reply to. I'd recommend going back and reading the post you replied to. It had to do with honesty. It had nothing to do with NATO, so I don't know why you brought that up other than to shift the discussion. Good news is, I agree that she's been largely consistent in her political career (if you're referring to her actions of course). Her words, not so much.
Back to my comment, you should reread it before you goabout my "wash" comment. I was very specific and deliberate with my words and you STILL brought out your broad brush in what I assume was another attempt to put words in another person's mouth and attack them as if that's what they said. Won't work with me. Good news is, I have realized this is your MO. At one point I thought that I was just bad at getting my point across, but I see that you do this with everyone frequently. You seem to be caught in your own echo chamber unable to hear what people are actually saying. Hope that clears up at some point.
This is comedy gold! She lies less frequently and her lies are less divorced from reality.
I said that if you were going to vote based upon honesty you should vote for Clinton over Trump, i.e. one lies less than the other. Just because they are both liars doesn't mean they both lie equally. So, no, not a wash.Listen, when you've reached 5+ years of lying it doesn't really matter who has been doing it longer anymore. You're both ####### liars.
So....a wash. Thanks, for clarifying.

Seriously, I come in here when I'm in a bad mood to get my spirits up and laugh. This thread is too good. This is comedy gold!![]()
Having survived sniper fire she knows reality all to well...dparker713 said:She lies less frequently and her lies are less divorced from reality.
You keep claiming this. Where is your evidence? It seemed to work quite well with Palin. It worked swimmingly when Paul Ryan got his clock cleaned in the debate. Who exactly are these voters that are motivated to vote for someone that's being called stupid that aren't already predisposed to vote for him anyway? If democrats everywhere start mocking Trump for his NATO stance, voters are going to say "There they go again. They are going bananas about something the republican said. I just want it to end. Its nauseating hearing the democrats whimper all the time. I'm going to vote Trump."
That's the reaction you are going to get. So stop it. Now.
The democrats need to start taking the high road. Fast.
She looks pretty good in your aviator. It will be a sad day in America if she is voted President though.Hillary looking any better to some of you undecideds now?
"I don't care if he's an idiot, he's my idiot!"Attempting to call Trump a moron for his NATO policy will get him elected president. The voters are sick and tired of hearing democrats call the GOP nominee an idiot. Stop doing it. Stop doing it. It will not work.
I'm NOT with herHillary looking any better to some of you undecideds now?
No, makes me sad the establishment prevented Bernie from being the president. Gary Johnson is looking a little better now and will look a lot better next week after the lying crook screeches for an hourHillary looking any better to some of you undecideds now?
Just as long as we don't have to drink to it.Over/Under on Hillary coughs in her shrill speech next week? Can we bet on this?
There is no lack of name recognition between these two. Who's undecided? There *is a very large chunk of America- in fact a super majority - who are disgusted by both. These people probably are hoping for a meteor or a Romney or Sanders to parachute in.My question was for the undecideds, but Rohn Jambo and Bass chose to answer it.![]()
I know. The meteor has 13%. As I pointed out before, if it just gets 2 more points, it's in the debate! There is no lack of name recognition between these two. Who's undecided? There *is a very large chunk of America- in fact a super majority - who are disgusted by both. These people probably are hoping for a meteor or a Romney or Sanders to parachute in.
Why would she care about the progressives? She's got the nomination. She should pick Kasich and boot Obama out of the White House the very next day.Absolutely not. Which is why it seems like a mistake.
After tonight I'm onboard with TrumpHillary looking any better to some of you undecideds now?
I think the 'base' including minorities were already there because of Trump, he's done what Hillary could never do. But yeah these lines and themes probably help her.But honestly Saints I have a feeling that Trump's speech tonight is going to unify Democrats behind Hillary and her numbers are going to go up. I especially think that Latinos, even conservative Latinos, are really pissed after tonight and they're going to crush Trump in Florida. Maybe it's wishful thinking but that's my hope. We'll see what the polls say a week from today.
Much respect to you. - However I get the sense that history and civics knowledge is in the dumper nationally these days. This whole NATO thing just reminds this old History teacher that he needs to start revamping his curriculum.
I don't get the Kaine love either. I guess that if she wins Pennsylvania, she wins, right? But I just don't see the attraction there. Please no Kaine. God no.
Isn't she trying to win this thing?
Would be happy will Booker or Warren.
Kaine is connected through McAuliffe and is close to them especially Bill. I think like Vilsack he meets the profile of someone who will play ball in the WH.I don't get the Kaine love either. I guess that if she wins Pennsylvania, she wins, right? But I just don't see the attraction there.

Mark Warner, a fellow Virginia Democrat. Kaine and Warner have a strong constituent interest because Capital One, the tenth biggest bank in the country by assets, is based in McLean, Virginia.
The senators asked regulators to reconsider aspects of two sets of rules designed to ensure that large banks have enough financial resources to withstand another crisis. Kaine did not endorse dramatic de-regulatory measures, but asked for changes for "regional banks that do not share the same risk profile or complexity as their larger, systemically important brethren."
The general idea is one that is also being advanced by top Fed officials who have repeatedly told Congress and the public that they are considering steps to differentiate the way rules apply to major Wall Street banks and their smaller competitors.
A pro-Bernie Sanders group called the Bernie Delegates Network highlighted a Huffington Post story on Kaine’s signature on Thursday in a release titled “Delegates will likely protest Sen. Kaine or similar VP choice in Philly” during the Democratic National Convention next week.
Progressive Change Campaign Committee co-founder Stephanie Taylor warned against Clinton picking a vice presidential candidate with close ties to Wall Street. She then pivoted to arguing that Clinton’s pick needs to oppose the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Kaine voted for fast-track negotiating authority that helped the administration bring the TPP trade deal to a close. A Kaine spokeswoman said he has not taken a position on the agreement itself. But in October Kaine said he was "obviously favorably inclined."
"Hillary Clinton's vice presidential pick will be seen by many as a proxy for how she will govern — boldly or cautiously? The wrong pick could deflate energy among potential donors and volunteers, hurting Democratic efforts to win the White House,” Taylor said in a statement responding to questions about Kaine’s decision to write the letter. “After promising to oppose the TPP, it's important for Clinton to pick someone who shares that position — especially after her delegates rejected that position in the party platform. It's also important she pick someone committed to strong Wall Street reform. Otherwise, there will be a giant opening for Trump and other Republicans to outflank Democrats on economic populism issues and win important swing votes.”
Public records are public, city records are public records. This isn't even close.
No respect for the law, it has to start to be worn as a badge of some kind for them. If they want it as their badge of honor so be it but I find it to be more of a Scarlet Letter, Hester Clinton to the front please.Public records are public, city records are public records. This isn't even close.
Super majority is pushing it, especially when you say disgusted. I'd prefer other candidates on both sides. However, I'm only disgusted with one of them. There is no lack of name recognition between these two. Who's undecided? There *is a very large chunk of America- in fact a super majority - who are disgusted by both. These people probably are hoping for a meteor or a Romney or Sanders to parachute in.
Did you read the article? The DNC is claiming FEC laws control the timing of the release of the information, and that they'll release the information within 60 days after the convention. So the question is whether federal election law preempts the city laws in this area.Public records are public, city records are public records. This isn't even close.
This is coming from the DNC, not Hillary or her campaign. And it's pretty ridiculous that you characterize the situation this way. Respect for the law? It's not like they're ducking the court - they're arguing a different set of laws is controlling. No respect for the law, it has to start to be worn as a badge of some kind for them. If they want it as their badge of honor so be it but I find it to be more of a Scarlet Letter, Hester Clinton to the front please.
I disagree, her only chance to win is to pick Warren.I can't recall an election where the VP pick mattered so little.
I did read the article. They're city records, not FEC records in this case.Did you read the article? Reasonable arguments can be made either way, but I'm sure it's considerably more convenient for the DNC (or the RNC for that matter) to release the information after the convention and I'm unsure what benefit the host city would get with a disclosure prior to the event.
That's fair, ~60% say they want different candidates. But I do think many are disgusted with both.Super majority is pushing it, especially when you say disgusted. I'd prefer other candidates on both sides. However, I'm only disgusted with one of them.
They're records relating to a federal election.I did read the article. They're city records, not FEC records in this case.
Disgusted is a rather high bar. That's fair, ~60% say they want different candidates. But I do think many are disgusted with both.
I agree 100%. Kaine is a mistake, although a more moderate ticket appeals to me, I am not the base. I fear that Clinton/Kaine vs. Trump/Pence is too easily cast as elites vs. the people, and Sanders voters stay home. She should pick Warren, she will pick Kaine.
I also think Kaine is a mistake, but I don't think very many Sanders people stay home. Not after last night.I agree 100%. Kaine is a mistake, although a more moderate ticket appeals to me, I am not the base. I fear that Clinton/Kaine vs. Trump/Pence is too easily cast as elites vs. the people, and Sanders voters stay home.
