Official ** KODI ** streaming thread (tips, help, add ons, etc) (1 Viewer)

Incursion - gotta get this up into your Kodi experience, it's killing it right now

Covenant is no longer being maintained, so a dev forked it to this latest version, under new name.

outstanding scrapes, quality feeds, all the TV/Movie goodies here in full - transparent dev, he's been keeping a very high profile over on reddit, and is a very active cat when it comes to keeping this addon fresh/updated/drama free.

installation Here, just clicky repository Incursion -

TVAddons is back, and also offering it via Github ... but the dev originally offered up in provided link.

happy streaming, y'all
:blackdot:

i've had Incursion as my primary for roughly a month now, and it is simply the best yet, only one anyone needs - the dev is keeping it top-notch, the scrapes and feeds are outstanding ... and, for those who don't wanna deal with RealDebrid, he has culled 'Showbox' links  as the primary, no need for pay services to procure quality viewing - all the Showbox come in at crisp 720p, and some even feature 5.1.

the selection options are as deep as any i've seen from an addon, you can view anything you desire - e.g. checked out "SNL" on Incursion this past weekend, and they have all 43 seasons available - first episode with Carlin hosting and Billy Preston/Janis Ian as musical guests - the quality was incredible, all things considered ... very impressed.

I got tired of all the "THIS IS THE PROGRAM TO USE, -insert program here- IS DEAD" that Kodi likes to throw at me now and then, so I found a desktop app called TeaTV. Nice interface, good scrapes, and I can download shows to my hard drive.

part of the gig with Kodi is knowing that there will be plenty of flux with the addons ... as long as one stays on top of what's currently clicking, it's really not that big of a hassle - the process of: UNINSTALL not working addon/INSTALL current fresh addon - takes all of about 3 minutes ... whoop de ####### doo.  it's a very small "price" to pay for the value given afterwards.

most of the furious flux that took place in the last year or so was due to the BOOM! that Kodi experienced ... seemed like everyone and their granma were clamoring for the hook up, and that bought the community some unwanted scrutiny - and that scrutiny led to many devs bagging on their programs (some from legal issues) ... #### happens, but the purity of the streaming was always still very much intact if one just took the time to sniff it out.

but for those who just expected to cruise along with FREE TV AND LIVE SPORTS 24/7/365, ZOMG!!11!! without doing any legwork, well, they were flummoxed, and are kinda falling by the wayside now - matter of fact, the more folks who bail on the Kodi experience, and defect to Terrarium/TeaTV, the better - that may lead to Kodi fading from the limelight and being more underground again, which will result in much less turnover of the content offered.

gl with the TeaTV, hope it works out for ya.

besides switching from exodus to convenant, i haven't done a thing to by osmc setup on my raspberry pi in a few years.   its been smoothstreams and exodus/convenant the entire time.  i never understood the hassle everyone else went through.

Arris Surfboard modems are the favorite in the cut the cable thread.  Use whatever router you want, I like TP Link products, a lot of people are fans of Asus.
I love my Asus RT-AC86U.  I have an Arris router from Frontier as well and it’s garbage.  Maybe their modems are better.

the devs abandoned those addons ... they may still work just fine, but they are no longer being maintained (covenant has most recently been forked into Incursion) - exodus may be back in shape since TVAaddons resurfaced, but when they went down they effectively took the sharpness of exodus with them, as it was their baby

that may be so, but we're really talking every year at most having to switch to a new addon for movies and tv.   that should really be the extent of it.   for some people in this thread, it sounds like a part time job the amount of work they're doing.

i just dig mixing it up, especially if the newer addon(s) is delivering on.an impressive level ...one need not go that route, as you pointed out, but unearthing more reliable options is part of the fun for me.

So I'm like 100 years behind the times on this KODI thing.  Coworker kept telling about it, so I bought the same Android box he has.  It's an MX Q pro 4k.  I hook it up, download KODI 17.6 and things seem to be going well, but any add on I try(even tried the last one mentioned here) I keep getting dependency or repository errors.  I'm not very tech savvy, so I have no idea what this means.  I read and watched videos on this, but it didn't help.

did you manually install Incursion?  or was it already loaded up in the box?

you probably need to run updates on the repo/addon ... right click the addon, select "information" ... you should see 'update' and 'configure' options - do both.   this will get your dependencies straight, as well as pushing through the latest tweaks to the addon.

I added it in manually.  The box had nothing on it.

does the Titanium build update itself with new addons?

i havent updated anything since i went to kodi 17.3. Do i need to do anything?  Haven’t had time to watch anything in forever.

So Incursion is the addon of choice now?

it's been flawless for five weeks now ... zero hiccups, smooth sailing with tons of content

and, as i mentioned upstream, dev features Showbox scrapes, so RealDeb (or any other pay service) is not needed for top notch HD feeds ... matter of fact, after installing, disable all providers except Showbox, and the scrape will go by in three seconds, with a crisp 720p offering at your disposal.

I have only done builds. Any advice on uninstalling titanium build and then just loading this from regular kodi 17.3?

Just got a new fire box for a television in the basement and trying to download Terrarium on it. Used this link just like I did with my last fire box https://terrariumtvs.com/terrarium-tv-fire-stick/

I go to download the latest version and I get an error message every time.

Down

An unknown error has occurred. Check your URL and connection.

I know the connection is fine, I turned on the unknown sources and can't figure this out. Can anyone help?

Go to one of the mirror sites (ad free) and get it.

About to cut the cord here.  Got Nitro TV and Terrirum on the newest amazon fire sticks, amazing pic.  All you need is local channels if Nitro doesn’t have your market.

Pretty up to date list of programming here - https://quarks-pro.com/nitro-tv-pro-channel-list/#1518531151250-3714a7d7-27a1
Does nitro have an onscreen program guide, and if so, how good/accurate is it? Screenshot?

Limitless  is too hit and miss with the locals, I'm looking for a better IPTV

It doesn’t have the best onscreen guide - I’m looking for a better one or  something that compliments nitro.  The locals are 720 pic quality at the worst.  They do have some one day free promos, I’ll see when the next one is.

Well I'm back again. Wife finally understood how much we're paying for cable. I'll be going back through this thread for the latest tips since I haven't kept up on it for a few years.

Neptune Rising >>>> Covenant
considering Covenant has been abandoned for the past few months, sure ...

but, Incursion >>>>> Neptune.

for those who don't care for premium services (RealDeb/Premiumize), Incursion pops Showbox 720p on all scrapes ... matter of fact, if you do run Incursion, and are not using a premium service, you need to disable all providers except Showbox - this will give a virtual "insta-click/play" option - you'll be viewing in roughly 5 seconds after selection.

I posted this in the no cable thread as well, but my R-TV S-10 box completely bricked for no particular reason.  I tried the toothpick reset and no dice.  I’m going to play with it some more, but it sounds like others have had the same issue.

I bought an NVIDIA Shield to replace it.  This box is worth the  :moneybag:  imo.  I used AmEx points on Amazon and got it for $28, but I would have paid full price for it.  It’s quick and runs Kodi and Terrarium TV great.  Easy interface and system updates are pushed from NVIDIA which is awesome.  I’m very impressed.

My suggestion at this point is to skip Kodi and use Terrarium and Mobdro instead.

I made every recommended tweak for buffering issues with local media (2 hard drives on network).  Just switched over from SMB to UPnP connections and buffering issue disappeared all together.  Lesson learned.

Yes, Incursion still works. Terrarium is not all that for me.  Especially once I had to update to the non ad free version to get links.
Follow this simple video to install the latest version of add free Terrarium. Takes about 5 minutes and it works 100%. I installed it on my Fire TV and then put it on my neighbors 2 fire sticks. The instructions are in the first 10 minutes of the video,

If having to make a single update turns you off on a platform, I have no idea how you are a fan of Kodi... I swear I had to **** with that damn app every month to keep things going.

My ad free Kodi has been cruising along for over a year now and the only issue was when I stopped getting premium real-debrid links because I had let my subscription lapse ?.

Better UI, more links, WAY lower maintenance. I was a huge Kodi fan but man... Terrarium is the perfect app for movies/shows. ESP with RD added at 2-3 bucks a month.

Agreed.  Terrarium plus RD is still working perfectly for movies.  And you will know instantly when the RD subscription expired.   Buffering jumps up tremendously.
