Older woman did fairly well, surprisingly.

Why am I attracted to that Kristen chick?
Wow. Can't beleive she survived again.Thank goodness Chris made it too. I'd like to see a Chris/Josh finals.
Joey and Bill sucked. I'm not surprised the hag survived. But it's a shame the least funny comic on the show had immunity.

But it's a shame the least funny comic on the show had immunity.
Seriously. That chick blows. Hasn't even made me crack a smile yet. Just really annoying.Porter was hilarious tonight, and the older chick actually had a damn good set. Gay just screamed the whole time and was already into his C material. Bill was just okay. Audience made the right choice based on the performances alone.

Incididentally, the heckling format was brilliant IMO.  You really get to see the chops and personality of these comics.

Chris Porter is a truly quick and genuinely funny guy.  He's the winner, if creme rises.
Chris Porter getting heckled by Josh Blue (the palsy guy)CP: I had sex with your sister

JB: My sister's dead

CP: No she's not, she just doesn't call anymore

Later..

CP: Oh yeah, that's why I had sex with your dead sister

JB: {deadpan} Inappropriate

:lmao:
The exchange between those two was one of the funniest things I've seen on tv in a long while. At first I thought Josh was gimmicky, but that guy is genuinely funny.

:goodposting: Gay can be funny at times, but his yelling gets on your nerves and he was very  last night

Bill SUCKED last night. His act was all over the place and hard to follow and really just not that funny.

Porter had me :lmao: .. could be that back in High School I could relate to his "If you smoke to much pot you'll be lucky if you even remember what you stood up for,. No worries about driving".

Was surprised at how bad Bill was. This shows the power of editing. Before this, you'd think he had all A material, but when you got to see a bit deeper into the act you maybe saw why he was picked. I assumed the votes for him were by comics who thought they'd pick a guy they thought was good and wouldn't be elligible to challenge them -- which is how I think Chris Porter ended up on stage and is why Josh Blue picked Gabriel. Truth is, BIll's got good presence, a good personality, but average stuff. For all I've said about the old woman making it to the ship, I am giving her mad respect. I think she was very good last week and this week, if I'd never seen her before, I'd say she was great. The knitting a vibrator stuff and the remote control vibrator stuff were great bits. She's more confident and got great stage presence.

As for Joey Gay, I think he's a pretty polished comedian and I liked some of his stuff, but the punch lines just weren't satisfying. The Mexican army thing, for example, had potential, but the "they already live in your country" was too on-the-nose and not clever enough to get more than a pity laugh. I think he's got something and with some better material he'll be successful at some level.

This picking names out of a hat thing is WEAK. Just have the balls to play by the rules! That pissed me off.

Next week looks good from the preview! Controversy! And the roast format should be great.
Again this stuff should not be on during prime time. This is not a family friendly show...... at all.I'm not being a prude here, but kids don't need to see this stuff. I had to turn it off, as it was quite uncomfortable watching it with my 14yr old daughter.

Good stuff Ham, but the knitting a vibrator/noose bit was Mr. Burns girl... not the old hag.

The knitting a vibrator was Mr. Burns' bit. The "how far away from my ###### will I be to need a remote" was the old gals, and hilarious. They only showed one line about her husband watching the SuperBowl and using the remote...but that had more potential.

Both Joey Gay and Roz are yellers. They scream their material into the mike... which doesn't make it any funnier. He absolutely deserved to go.

I agree that Gabriel's picking names out of a hat is incredibly lame. I'd pay money to see all the other comedian's take a hat with names into the booth next week and just "happen to" pick Gabriel's name out. I don't find him funny at all.

Yeah, but he has a high voice which is just hilarious you know... :sarcasm: Honestly, I didn't think that any of them had tremendous material last night. First off, the challenge was absolutely atrocious. They were all horrendous. The standup acts were just about as bad. Porter's stuff was decent, but I don't think I actually laughed at anyone's material.

I also found it interesting that Josh didn't get a single vote. I didn't catch it last week so I don't know whether he did or did not get one last week. I'd be interested to know if it's because:

a) the other comics actually think that he's funnier than them

b) they are not picking him because of his handicap and they don't feel right

c) they think the audience will be sympathetic to him and not vote him off

I'd say it's a little bit of both a and c.

I think it is (a), but possibly moreso in that he is unique and will get a very good reaction from an audience.RE: ©

audience does not vote anyone off, they vote to keep people on.

or it could very well be (D) They don't want to be that guy that lost to the dude with CP.

:goodposting: Short of Porter I don't think anyone has a chacne head to head vs. Him. He is very  I almost wish they would challange him so we could hear more.

I wonder who is going to break the rules next week and if they will still have the challange with only one going home, if in fact they send the Rule breaker :bye:

They need one of these programs on HBO / SHOtime or something, not sure how a reality show would fair on those networks tho.

Someday when you grow up and have kids you want to sit and watch TV with, you'll know what I mean. Until then, just keep challenging everything I post about this.

I understand this complaint for daytime television. But primetime tv is geared towards adults, because thats when they're home from work watching tv.

I don't think they're going to change the content because some people don't want their 14 year old watching something. There are other channels out there.

I've liked Joey Gay and Bill Dwyer in the past on this show. Yeah, Gay does yell some, but I thought he had an ok schtick (I crack up at his choppers).

Dwyer is somebody I've continued to give the benefit of the doubt to because he's funny. Unfortunately, his routine isn't. Anytime I see him off-stage on that show, he's one of the funnier people there, but as soon as he get's on-stage... yugh.

I'll also give props to the catcher's mitt old lady- she was the funniest against the hot chick and the pregnant hag, and she was funny last night... AND with different material than she brought to the first one (unless they edited all out- which wouldn't suprise me). She deserved to beat the two unfunny routines of Gay and Dwyer.

Porter was the funniest of the four, but I agree that he's been funnier before.

I was pretty amazed at how unfunny the whole group was with their challenge. Only one I liked was Mr Burns- who is growing on me (but ugh! take a shower boys, she really does look like Mr Burns).

Fat guy- funny voices don't work for me.

Fat chick- yelling "#####" over and over doesn't work for me.

Cp guy- thought he'd be only about the cp, but he's funny.

midget chick- wife thinks she's funny, but I don't get it.

black guy- a sleeper, IMO- has some funny stuff.

I think it'll come down to Porter, CP, Mr. Burns.

Ever heard of Tivo? Sucks to actually have to make sacrifices when you have children. Perhaps you can watch something else.By the way, I have kids, and I don't expect every broadcaster in the world to cater to the fact that I have kids.

I understand what you're saying. Money talks. it's just a shame that this show went this way, because the first two seasons were great without going this route.I don't expect primetime to cater to kids, but the comedy is truly adult rated stuff.

:whoosh: You're the one that is watching inappropriate television with your daughter. Perhaps the better way to parent is to watch something else, or perhaps do something with your daughter that doesn't involve sitting on the couch on a Tuesday night.

I have kids and I'm intelligent enough to know that there are programs that are not suitable for them. The TV ratings are there for a reason genius.

Both of those bits were aired in the 9:00 hour which is late enough for racy material IMO. Now if they re-air them in the 8:00 hour you might have something.I think they still air Touched by an Angel on PAX.

Prime time needs to be filled exclusively with family friendly shows?
Someday when you grow up and have kids you want to sit and watch TV with, you'll know what I mean. Until then, just keep challenging everything I post about this.
Ever heard of Tivo? Sucks to actually have to make sacrifices when you have children. Perhaps you can watch something else.By the way, I have kids, and I don't expect every broadcaster in the world to cater to the fact that I have kids.
Wow, I feel sorry for your kids, and just because you have kids doesn't mean you're mature enough to have them.My daughter comes first.
Both of those bits were aired in the 9:00 hour which is late enough for racy material IMO. Now if they re-air them in the 8:00 hour you might have something.I think they still air Touched by an Angel on PAX.
Like I said, I don't expect the networks to cater to kids. We had just gotten home from her softball game and were unwinding for the night and it kinda ticked me off because we both like the show and the previous years it was nowhere near this raunchy.

But it's a shame the least funny comic on the show had immunity.

It sure doesn't seem that way. But parent as you wish. That :whoosh: is funny, but look in the mirror.

Could you please articulate your point a little more clearly? I don't allow my kids to watch television that is inappropriate for them. I realize that prime time has a number of shows that are inappropriate for kids. I avoid watching those shows when they are around. I either Tivo the show to watch later if I really want to see it, or I just don't watch the show. After all, my interest in watching the show is trumped by my interest in making sure that my kids aren't watching inappropriate material. Can you please explain how any of this is objectionable to you? If you're going to throw out insults, perhaps you'd like to back it up.

P.S. The only thing I questioned was your assertion that prime time should be limited to family friendly programming. That's an absurd proposition.

I am getting in a little late in the game here, but I have seen Chris Porter live and he is great! I actually saw him the week before he was chosen to make it into the house. It was taped prior, but he didn't give it away. He said make sure you watch, it gets pretty interesting. My GF has seen him a few times in KC as well.

He did his bit about smoking pot when I saw him live but the one about the condom was new to use and just hillarious! "Lets put a plastic bag over your had and see how long you stay alert!" :lmao:

I would love to see Josh and Chris make the finals. However, I have a gut feeling that Chris did something against the house rules (smoking pot?) and might be gone. I don't see how he doesn't make the finals. Everytime that the audience has voted, Chris has been the Cap One Audience winner! He was the top pick to advance to the finals of the house vote, #1 in the heckling thing, and #1 in the vote off.

You can go to NBC's Last Comic Standing website and vote for one of 5 comics to vote them back in.

So get there now to vote for Willy Parsons, aka biker guy

Wow - I just saw that they voted Nikki Payne back on the show - I might actually watch again.

:whoosh: Please show my assertion that prime time be limited to family friendly shows. I mentioned THIS show. This show is the topic at hand correct?? I have also stated that the previous years shows have been great without all the raunch. If you can't see why a parent would be upset with this, that's your problem. If this was the first year for the show, I would more be understanding, I'd still be a bit hacked, but it would be more understandable.

You're just going to #### with me so go ahead get it out of your system. Have your fun.

You questioned me awhile back too. I think you just like to #### with me. But hey whatever floats your boat.

What is this "Mr. Burns" talk?  What did I miss?
blonde chick shtick
she once said she looks like Mr. Burns when she is coming out of the shower as part of her act
Oh. I'm still attracted to her for some unknown reason.
What was up with the whole kicking the ball into her groin bit? I found myself strangely excited.
just sealed it for me...why did i find that so cool?
Hmmmm.... a bunch of guys attracted to a chick that self-professed looks like an old cartoon character man. Attraction heightened by her getting a ball kicked at her "balls". Older brothers down?

I'm not jumping in your argument here, but I like it the way it is. I don't want it to get too family friendly. Family friendly has less of a chance of being funny. And it's on at 9:00 PM EST....the kids should be in bed that will be offended.

ditto that
This woman is completely likable. She's quick-witted and funny, but also seems very grounded, self-depricating and deep. I feel the same way about Chris Porter. Good natured people who are also funny and completely honest are compelling. She's certainly that. Her humor isn't "look at me" like the midget girl and it isn't mean sprited or low-brow. She seems to have insite and knows who she is and is comfortable in that. I can see why that's attractive.
Too bad she suffers from noassatall.

A 14yr old in bed at 8pm (CST) during the summer? Also, it was quite funny the past 2 years without all the raunchy comedy.

Well, let me ask you this then, what was on the show that was inappropriate for a 14 year old?
