I think the show would end on a really stupid note if they spelled out all of the answers for us. Let some things be questioned and left to be questioned. I am satisfied with the answers we have been given so far.

But it was somehow broken.The fact that the entire cast was confused by the script for this episode and that the producers are calling it a "head scratcher" worries me a little bit.I still like the foreshadowing of Jacob's last line though . . . They're coming.

Confused by this theory... can someone unwrap this for me? I can't wait to see the premier next week! I hope the finish is worth the investment over the past 6 years. I have several friends who quit watching because they couldn't get answers to their questions. I can't wait to get some of those this season!

Saw the first 4 minutes, about what I expected to happen. As usual I have no idea how Cuse or Lindelof are going to work this. Should be fun!
I will admit that there were somethings off about it, didn't seem right so I expect LOST shenanigans to ensue promptly after that scene.

It's more than fine - there's nothing in this 2:30 that they show that you don't already know. I understand not wanting to watch it but in all honesty I wouldn't watch it because it's not worth the time more than it will ruin anything.Not a knock against you Payne - I did watch it and appreciate you posting it.

Here's a recap of The Incident, Parts 1 & 2. It's a pretty good summary of the last season's finale.It's also not a bad idea to watch the 1-hour recap tomorrow night before the premiere starts.
One more night, although the guys at is lost a repeat need to update their site.As to Locke, I know we discussed it in the season 5 thread. I remember posting that Locke didn't seem like Locke when we saw him come back from the dead. He was extremely confident and was manipulating Ben instead of getting conned like always. If you took the once dead, you are dead mantra and watched how new Locke acted, it was pretty much a dead giveaway that he wasn't the real Locke.
Also, just in case anyone isn't sure, watch the first few minutes and the last few minutes of the repeat at 8pm tomorrow and new Locke talks about the loophole to kill Jacob that Jacob's buddy mentioned as they were watching the Black Rock coming to the island.

Even though I remember being pretty fired up about the Season 2 season premiere, I still think this is the most I've ever anticipated a show. Watched the season 5 finale yesterday so it would be fresh in my mind.

Really? I agree it would be weird if they spelled everything out, but they have to give us a clue on some of the stuff that is hanging. Like the numbers for example. They basically just abandoned the numbers without providing any sort of answer to their meaning after hyping them up for 3 seasons.

thanks for this breakdown, I got seasons 1-5 on blu ray and i'm plowing thru them now. Almost finished with season 1 so i'll be behind when the new shows start airing tonight but i'm ok with that, i like watching a bunch at once, much more enjoyable.Season 1 - 1068 mins - 17.8 hoursSeason 2 - 1056 mins - 17.6 hours
Season 3 - 991 mins - 16.5 hours
Season 4 - 604 mins - 10.1 hours
Season 5 - 731 mins - 12.2 hours
Total - 74.2 hours
With ~25 days left... ~3 hours per day.
Ok, don't think I can swing that.

I hear you, but I think LOST is one of those shows where the viewer has to do a little bit of research on their own. The numbers were explained, to some degree, in one of the off-shoot on-line projects they did. The numbers are part of the Valenzetti Equation and they're explained pretty well in the link. Is it good enough? It is for me, but I'm not looking for 100% of all questions to be answered. Satisfaction is going to be subjective.

I have a co-worker that stopped watching after season one that has decided he wants to get caught up. I asked him last week where he was in the story and he told me "they just figured out that the balloon guy, Henry Gale, was lying to them."
