Sat, 1 Dec 2007 05:24:28 -0800

Tara Sullivan, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Giants RB Derrick Ward (ankle, groin) will start the team's Week 13 game, but he is expected to share the rushing load with RBs Reuben Droughns and Ahmad Bradshaw.

What is "DBT"?

Anyway, Jacobs is home in the NY snow with therest of us!

"Jacobs (hamstring) did not travel with the Giants to Chicago, and is listed out for the game Sunday, the Associated Press reports.

Spin: Derrick Ward will be the starter while Rueben Droughns will get the ball in short-yardage situations. Check back with us on Jacobs' status next week.[breaking News] RotoWire |

DBT = Doubtful

I need to decide between Ward, Peterson (Chi), and C. Taylor. Ward was great in the first 8 weeks of the season and with the weather and Eli could have a great game. Is he starting?

yes, Droughns will get (possibly) 3rd down and short yardage work though
maybe short yardage/goal line duties but 3rd down was ward's territory before he got hurt, no? had a nice # of receptions out of the backfield in 3rd down situations...

That's one of the reason's I like Ward is the receptions. I view him and AP (Chi) similar but AP will have goalline but Ward plays against a softer run defense.
