If you missed the Dusty documentary on A&E last night, shame on you for six weeks. It was obvious Dustin had had dad issues and it showed. Cody was more aloof and insightful.
Mike Mooneyham called it one of the best he’s seen.

Early

1. Pritchard's "Dusty" is money.
2. Magnum TA looks like Saul from "Homeland."

3. Mid '80's Flair just peak heel of all time. My dad would say how fake it all was, and he STILL hated Flair.

4. HARD TIMES.
5. Dusty kayfaybed his own kids. lol

6. He won with a small package. :lmao:

Not sure why the anti AEW crowd/ or fans not thinking this is a good idea thinks they can't Sell out Wembley. I'm sure they'll cut part of the Stadium off for Staging and such so that takes maybe 5K-15K thats what 75K you have to sell. Depending what they do with the Stage ramp and media and tech stuff that's another 10K or so right there. Within Fri they have already sold 25K pre sale of people interested signed up for tickets or hopefully. They each buy 2 tickets thats 50K right there. Even if you take back 10K-15K you might have people who buy more then 2 tickets. Also you'll have some fans traveling from The America's and Canada. Already saw a few tweets from people who planned on trips around that mouth already who are switching up some plans to make sure they can attend ALL IN.

You got fans from England, Scotland and Ireland plus the European fanbase. Germany, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, France are all close. Paris to London train ride is 2 1/2 hrs. Most hotels around and near Wembley are sold out for that weekend already. Put together a good match card, Zach Sabre v Danielson, Osprey V Omega III, FTR v Aussie Open for the IWGP Tag Titles, United Empire match vs someone, You got Hayter vs Saraya as a women's match, Possible get Saraya's brothers and cousin involved in a match and show off the London scene. You also got PAC and Kip Sabin and Kip could be used in the Undercard or Zero hour.

There's matches in there and ideas that will sell themselves. RevPro is open to do business with AEW again as well. Just because they aren't WWE doesn't mean they can't sell it. Also TK has friends in England do to his ownership of Fulham. I'm sure he got a good deal and perhaps even negotiated something with his Club as well. There's just so many great booking scenarios and with their partnerships with other promotions they can sell this.

Also depending what happens with Bullet Club you have Juice and Jay White and possible ELP who was in RevPro and big on the British Scene before going to NJPW. Just because WWE fans haven't heard of these guys doesn't mean the rest of the world hasn't. In fact most of Europe, Japan and England isn't saturated with just the main stream wrestling like WWE AEW and IMPACT. They know their indie scenes as well as other promotions. I think when it comes to North American wrestling fans a lot are ignorant to stuff outside of the mainstream they watched for yrs. Others are just scared of change

9. Didn't know about Rhodes vs Shield. Damn. DUSTY in here.
9a. I'm sure it was self-serving, but McMahons bringing Dusty back for HOF and his boys when he was down and out was pretty dammed cool.

Vince is a world class POS, and I do not condone the things he has been found guilty of or other things rumored. And I think his independent contractor way of handing talent was horrible. But the stories and evidence of what he has done to help guys in the business deserves a little praise.

The VonErichs made me fall in love with wrestling. Mid 80s Flair made me care about it.

He also has tried to help talent with drug habits and health wise. watch the Yokozuna Doc on WWE network. Rikishi and the family talk how Vince wanted Yoko to lose weight as it wasn't healthy carrying that many LBS and his ring work was negatively effected and he could barely have even a 5 min match near the end. Vince has a lot of respect for Rock's family and has numerious times come to their aid on stuff.

Vince also helped HBK as well. Joey Mercury, Randy Orton did it himself but Vince helped as well.

Just for @Bogart and any other Rhea Ripley stans, Rhea reads thirsty tweets about her.

I feel bad for good looking popular females on these social media sights. The simps and neckbeard losers that thirst over them like they have an actual chance is concerning and embarrassing. You see their picture and they are well overweight and the only exercise they get is going to the grocery store for their half off 2 liter soda and snacks. Or run when they hear free corn dogs.

I see Mr update conveniently didn’t mention the news that CM Punk’s return to AEW is looking likely.
Because I refuse to post anything by that loser and his site. I give it a few days before they run it back and say it's more likely he's not back again. Always changing their minds

Sounds like Jericho wants nothing to do with Punk back. Brandon Cutler retweeted a site who had the headline that CM Punk is gaslight AEW with Conti responding to the tweet with the definition of the word. Also Colt wants nothing to do with him and Moxley doesn't either. Mox and Punk issues go back to when Punk suggested Chris Hero in the Shield and they put Roman Reigns in his place. Mox is really good friends with Reigns. Danielson and Claudio have also had issues with Punk and both felt like Punk abandoned ship on a lot of them in WWE. They gave him a chance in AEW and he ****ed it up.

It sounds like the only way Punk gets brought back is if he agrees to play by AEW rules and if he messes up he's gone. If Punk comes back I don't see this lasting more then 3 months before he finds some random small thing to get upset and triggered over. Punk is a great talent no doubt but the best description from people who know and work with him I heard was "great in ring talent but he acts like his **** don't stink. Has a huge ego and can't take constructive criticism from anyone."

Brian Cage, who re-signed wil AEW last week, is now reportedly under contract with them until 2028.

Eddie Kingston tried to work through his recent injury, thinking it was just a pulled groin, but after AEW’s medical staff evaluated him follow the ROH “Supercard of Honor” PPV 2 weeks ago, it was revealed to be a hernia that will require surgery. Kingston will miss a chunk of in-ring time and no return date was given.
PWI Elite exclusively reported that Kingston has been extremely apologetic to Tony Khan for trying to avoid the medical staff. As Kingston came up in the sport in the early 2000s, he was conditioned to fight through the pain and wrestle, but as it's now 2023, Kingston now recognizes that many performers and promotions have shifted away from that philosophy. Still, ignoring long-time ideology is no easy task, Kingston admitted.

:lmao: who gives a **** what Cutler or Colt think about him. They draw ZERO $$.

My question is, if Punk comes back, can he come back as a face?? I feel like they'd have to do a lot of tap dancing to get the crowd on his side, unless you bring him back in Chicago. But that's only one week.

Yeah, it's funny how some love seeing a degenerate like Jeff Hardy being given 399 chances, but oh no, some don't get along with CM Punk, so keep him far away!!

When I lived in WVA and northern VA, I would go to National Wrestling League and its training school the House of Pain matches. There were more than a couple of times when they announced half priced pizza after intermission and the rednecks would drop everything to load up - in the middle of a match, no less!

Of course, these same smooth brained individuals once stormed out in the middle of a match because they heard a fire truck siren going by and they wanted to see where it was going.

Meanwhile no one says a dam thing about Jimmy USO who is only still in WWE because of nepotism. How many guys over the years has Vince allowed to keep their jobs? This doesn't even include his buddy pat Patterson Grooming Ring boys and other stuff like Ric Flair sexually assaulting flight attendants etc over the years. Another company lets a guy back and OMG it's an issue but don't say a dam thing when it's WWE.

People got an issue with Punk is because he's another guy who acts like his **** don't stink. I worked with a guy like this who worked in Meat Department. He was a shop steward for his union and the back up meat Manager but only because the other guy didn't want it. He was a good meat cutter, knew the tricks of the trade, could train someone and send them to another store perfectly capable of doing stuff on their own. But he was a kiss *** and an egotistical *******. People liked him only because he was a good Shop Steward Union guy but he was terrible to work with. Constantly bullying people etc. He went too far one too many times and myself and 2 others reported him to his union, my Union, my Store Director and even got HR involved. He lost that position with the union because of his antics. He unfortunately ended up with Covide. He was an anti vaccine etc but I never wanted to see this guy hurt despite how he acted. He ended up having a seizure fell and tor his rotator cuff. After he did his treatment he basically retired from the business. Why? because they had a new meat manager there he wasn't too keen of and knew a lot of people wouldn't put up with his antics anymore.

Just because a dude is good doesn't mean we need them back on the team especially when they cause drama. Its funny AEW didn't have this much drama till Punk got there.

Yep sounds legit. I know a couple of wrestlers who have wrestled in the Tri state area of PA/Del/NJ/NY and Northeast area who wrestled down there. some of the stories of the fans was pretty bonkers down there. One of the guys once told me they wrestled with Friends somewhere down in Maryland/VA boarder. Didn't know it was a prime White Supremacy hotspot. This was back in the early millennium this happened. His 2 friends were black and one was gay. Thankfully most didn't know about the Gay part but after the match he quickly with his buddies packed up, asked for an advance in their pay from the promoter who fortunately understood situation and hightailed it out of town.

Another time DJ Hyde told me a story of Amber O'neil wrestling somewhere in the south. During a meet and great the guy who crowded her looked well lets just say Dusty Rhoades types in body shape. The rednecks drooling over her was pathetic. What made it more pathetic was the type of trashy women these guys were coming to the show with. She was really unconfortable.

Yeah, I am sure a meat cutter is as valuable to that store as Punk would be to AEW.

You're missing my point. Dude could've been a meat manager anywhere. He applied for some high end stores management wise but was turned down do to the issues they heard about him evolving coworkers. He made good money with us but he screwed himself out of a whole bunch more. The one place I had a buddy who worked there as an apprentice at the time now running district management which this guy could've done. Some of the guys my buddy said working there were pretty bad and he had 3 different meat managers in his first 4 months apprentice there. The fact my guy couldn't get in was pretty telling despite how good he was. My meat manager at the time was used as a reference who was very truthful with that. Complimenting how good he is work wise but also saying he has zero people skills in terms of handling coworkers when they have issues with him.

Also if we are talking Punk and ratings this is from Bischoff and others have said he didn't draw the ratings people thought in his initial AEW run. So to say Punk is valuable is actually funny https://bleacherreport.com/articles...mpact-wwe-uk-ppv-rumors-2-night-wrestlemanias

Former WCW president Eric Bischoff had some choice words for CM Punk on his 83 Weeks podcast regarding Punk's impact on AEW's television ratings or lack thereof.

During an AEW discussion on the podcast (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), said the following regarding whether Punk has moved the needle for AEW as much as hoped:

"Punk hasn't delivered. Punk was the guy that came out and his first comments were, 'The addition of this talent was more significant than Scott Hall and Kevin Nash,' constantly making references to WCW because they want to be the company that WCW was back in the mid-'90s. There's these constant references to WCW. When Scott Hall and Kevin Nash came in, we took off. Punk, you came in and you s--t the bed, in terms of ratings."

Bischoff was referencing something Punk said after Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole made their AEW debuts at All Out in September.

At the time, Punk expressed his belief that himself, Danielson and Cole arriving in AEW was bigger than Hulk Hogan, Hall and Nash forming the nWo in WCW in 1996.

Punk's AEW debut after seven years away from wrestling was huge news, and it undoubtedly had a positive impact on the ratings at first.

While AEW didn't announce Punk's debut ahead of time, it was widely assumed he was set to appear on the Aug. 20 edition of Rampage in his hometown of Chicago.

Despite the show airing in the 10 p.m. ET timeslot on a Friday night, that episode of Rampage averaged an impressive 1.129 million viewers.

Ratings have dropped precipitously since then, though, even when it comes to shows that feature Punk.

Punk most recently wrestled on Rampage on Oct. 15 when he beat Matt Sydal in the opener, and that show brought in only 578,000 viewers.

Bischoff has taken great exception to the idea that AEW is anywhere near the level of WCW in the mid-to-late '90s when WCW was bringing in millions of viewers each week and beating WWE in a head-to-head competition on Monday nights.

AEW may reach that level at some point, but the numbers suggest Bischoff is right for now.

And then recently he said he wouldn't bring Punk back and wasn't worth the risk. I'd ut Bischoff's opinion over anyone here. He's dealt with big egos in locker rooms and some wrestlers have referenced that Punk has the ego of a Hulk Hogan without the same success as Hogan.

Apparently there's now 45K subscribers to first dib tickets as of Friday per Wrestling Observer for the Wembley AEW Show and no matches have been even announced yet. According to some friends of mine in London every hotel near Wembley that weekend is well booked and anything close to the stadium that is still available prices have skyrocketed.

The best is when my friend and I used to wait for the doors to open for the weekly Tuesday night training shows. We saw a couple most every week; the gal was obviously pregnant. One week, we don't see them. No biggie; she probably had the baby. The next week - and mind you it's 20 degrees in Hagerstown, MD this night - there's the couple WITH THE WEEK OLD BABY!!! I can't even. :lmao: :lmao:

If I were her, I'd buy a cheap wedding ring and hire some guy to be her "husband" for the night.

So now Bischoff, the guy who fired Steve Austin and was basically a used car salesman (per Bobby Heenan, who had more credibility than all of us put together when it comes to pro wrestling), is an authority? Sure, okay. It's clear that some take Meltzer's lies as gospel when the reality is, he has no credibility and is a known liar and a fraud.

For the 199th time, do I think Punk has a monster ego and is a jerk? Pretty much, yeah, but so what? As I said before, part of being a grownup is realizing you have to work with people you do not like. I doubt the children who have power in AEW realize this yet, and yes, that includes Jericho, who, based on how he acts on social media, is still an immature child as well. One of the best ever, but I am guessing he loves being a big fish in a smaller pond now as opposed to sticking around WWE where he was never as big as Triple H, Cena or Rock.

SRS exclusive: Plan in place for Punk to return. Plan in place also for a new Saturday show.

Fellow Fightful Select subscriber and love it. Sean is awesome. Been fun watching his journey.
Been a big fan of SRS since he was on WINC. He and Fightful have just exploded since then. A good follow on Twitter 👍

You know you've made it big when your detractors post word for word your articles w/o credit. They're too lazy to even change the formatting 🤣

It's nice when you got a guy like Andrew Zarian in the know. One of the reasons I love this guy is he doesn't report on every rumor and when he does report he's not vague on details.

BREAKING: Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast was first told AEW “Collision” was created as a C level AEW show. Just more All Elite Wrestling weekly content.
That's changed. It's now an A show. Zarian says CM Punk is coming back. No maybe's, it's happening.
Warner Brothers Discovery executives are excited.
It's a two hour show, 8-10 Saturdays. Starting mid to late late June. It will most likely be on the TNT network.

Update: Andrew: Zarian: “AEW brand split less soft than ” He followed this up by saying people will be appearing predominantly on one of the two shows, meaning this might end up being a hard split. “AEW brand split less soft than [I originally alluded to]”

SO Basically Endeavor moving forward HAS The Power Outright CUT Any WWE Talent Who thinks they're gonna get the BIG Money Arm and leg type deals whew i wish them well. In other words if someone asks for $3M they are getting cut by WWE. I hope Brock, Roman, and the gang all are ok with pay cuts.

Saw this question posted by Over The Tope rope website and the one response I really liked. I think this is the best outcome especially if they all agree to stuff. But before that this was what Meltzer reported

“There is a meeting soon and involves Chris Jericho, Tony Khan, CM Punk, FTR, and there may be others in there as well. That’s coming up. I guess the idea is to resolve everything or attempt to resolve everything. It’s going to be interesting. Tony Khan wants Punk back, to be the star of the Saturday show and it’s probably…I’m pretty sure it’s going to happen.”

The Elite not being mentioned is a notable thing to point out, though it was reported over the last week that Punk was open to working with them in AEW despite all the issues in the past.

If you were Tony Khan, how would you handle the CM Punk issue in AEW?

Get him to apologize to the roster first. Then take him, the Elite and some backup into a room and mend fences. Then get him to apologize to the fans in the ring while telling beforehand that if he has another meltdown or shoots someone again, he's fired and banned.
