Great crowd, not a good Raw

You got that backwards. Dear post-Mania crowd: the show isn't about you. If you really want to make an impact, go crazy cheering the faces and booing the heels. Don't chant for people that aren't there and do the wave and chant "we are awesome." Barf.
The episode was hot fire, so I'm not sure what you are looking for. Brock dominated hour 1, new wrestlers debuted, Sheamus returned as a heel (a much needed injection of heat), multiple NXT call ups, Bryan vs Ziggler, Cena vs Ambrose.

100% disagree about the crowd. The we are awesome chant is obnoxious for sure, but I'm ok with everything else they did. Cheering the faces and booing the heels, because they are supposed to, is about the worst thing I think a crowd can do, other than dead silence. The wave was cool, especially since the main event was garbage and I'm surprised they even did it. 5 guys the crowd hates or doesn't care about, and Rollins, who has to single-handedly carry that mess.
The show was very good, I agree, but I think the crowd helped that, not hurt.

I certainly feel a fan is entitled to cheer and boo who they want be they faces or heels. Even if I love a heel (like Rollins) I will boo the hell out them anyway because that's what a heel wants to hear and I want him to remain a heel. If I don't like a face, I stay silent. I guess I'm too nice to boo someone who's really trying their best to get over.
But that's just me. If a fan wants to boo Cena and cheer for Rollins, that's cool. To each their own.
I just wish some in the crowd would have enough class to respect the diversity of fans that are in attendance. I don't need my 10 year old daughter hearing "you F*** Cena" chants during a Nikki Bella match". Also things like "CM Punk" chants while AJ Lee is wrestling bother me. She's an excellent performer in her own right. That feels disrespectful to me.
I've noticed that most "Smarks" are unmarried men in their early 20s who probably don't have the life experiences to know better, but it's still annoying to me.

I agree that those Punk chants at AJ are awful, and that one at Nikki is horrific if true, I never heard it, but sometimes I can't make out what the crowd is chanting. Was it at Mania or Raw?
However, I think people should absolutely be encouraged to cheer or boo whomever they want. I also see no problem at all with the Sami Zayn or Kevin Owens chants, you bought a ticket, you are letting them know who you want to see. Especially when Kane, who should have retired the second he and Bryan broke up, is wrestling. Seriously, the guy is basically immobile and has little to no effort at all, watch him take bumps in any match, he looks like somebody who is terrified of falling down.
I don't know if I'd classify myself as a smark, I'm 30 and married, but I certainly approve of the crowd doing whatever it wants within reason. Chanting same old ****! That is fine with me, doing the wave because the match is boring, and pointless, fine with that too, but yeah that stuff toward the Bellas and AJ, is very inappropriate.
That said, nothing annoys me more than those insipid "what" chants. Hell, I'd take a Punk chant over that. Preferably neither though.

Glad K-Swiss retained, and that the Usos seem to be out of the picture. I don't think anybody has been hurt more by overexposure than the Usos, they are painful to watch and really needed the break.

Amen. These clowns automatically get me to change the channel like few tag teams in WWE/F history. As soon as their music hits, channel is changed. Marginal team shoved down fans' throats as a 'premier long reigning championship tag team'. I've just never seen it. Kidd/Cesaro have been together maybe 3-4 months and completely blow these guys outta the water. Good depth for tag division, but stop fooling people into thinking Usos are one of the best teams in WWE history.I never have nor will ever see an episode of Total Divas. Between them and the Bellas, I can't think of very many people (and worse actors on WWE programming in the Bellas case) on the current WWE roster I'd want to see on a reality TV show.

I still don't understand the hate for the Usos. They always bring high energy, know how to work as a team and can appeal to a wide fan base. It's not their faul that the WWE doesn't give them any decent opponents. When they are given an angle to run with (eg, the Wyatts), the matches are great.
I'd be happy to see them work with Ascension next. Hopefully they can get the new team over and give K-Swiss a different face team to feud with. It would be incredibly refreshing to see multiple tag angles going at the same time.

I don't think the Usos issues are opponent related, they are Uso related. They are high flyers who are crappy at high flying moves, they are gonna kill themselves with these top rope dives some day, because they are basically aren't athletic enough to do them right. They barely clear the top rope ever, and their opponents have to practically dive into them so they don't cripple themselves. the are like the male versions of Lita in that sense. Watch the Usos, then watch Neville or Rollins, and it is like night and day, hell Reigns looked more impressive on one dive then they have ever looked.
They also aren't very good talkers at all, sub-Bella levels. They always look outclassed whenever the have to tell any story with their words, most recently in the feud against Miz/Mizdow, where they(and Naomi) came off like complete idiots.
They are booked weirdly like cena in that they are faces, but are the bad guys of most stories they are in, again, the Miz/Mizdow feud is a good example. They had good matches against the Shield, but so did everyone else, they didn't stand out at all. Other than the push they get, I really don't see how they are all that different than the Matadores. They probably should have been turned heel instead of the Rhodes brothers way back when.
Also, Bogart mentioned that they sell a lot of shirts to kids. Is that really that big of a deal though? I mean, kids are pretty fickle. Do they like the Usos, or do they like a tag team that wins all the time and is presented as the team you should be cheering for? I feel like given the push the Usos have gotten, their are a bunch of teams that would be just as popular and sell just as many shirts, if not more.
