And Nikki Bella goes another event w/o having to defend the Divas title.......and another step closer to surpassing AJ Lee for longest diva champ ever.

:lmao: Such a joke the extent they're going to erase Punk & AJ because they have outside interests. Or want to have a life.

They've done a great job masking their intent with this triple threat/tag team Divas stuff.
The need to mention AJ by name last night seemed childish. Just get to 300 days and be done with it.

Also, it looks like Submission Sorority is a short lived name, as they were pushing Team PCB last night. Which is a shame, because I heard about the TAP shirt in all Greek letters and that sounded cool.

:lmao: That Sheamus cash in. ####### christ that was brutal.

Why is he playing tug of war with briefcase with ref for 30 seconds? Why does he scream "I'm cashing it in" 5 times? Why is the ref act so confused about what Sheamus is doing? :lmao:

So so awful. Not only was the execution horrendous, but the 'false cash in' is so so overdone with this.
:goodposting:
So does this mean we don't get to see Shameus on tv for the foreseeable future?!?! :excited:

Please tell me his cashing in now closes that storyline and he can go back down to the roster and off tv. He is too painful to watch on tv.
He didn't cash it in. It's looking like Orton was late on his spot and it made the insanely stupid "fake cash in" look even worse. Cole made sure to tell everyone that he didn't cash it in because the bell never rang.
Ugh....figures :kicksrock:
For one brief, fleeting, glorious moment it looked like this thing wasn't going to drag on for 8 months. <_<
This really needs to be an unsuccessful cash in. Not only does Sheamus not need to be champion, it would actually maybe make him interesting as the "failure" hung over his head for a while. Plus, there needs to be a flaw in the whole MITB system showing it's not always a sure thing.

IF IF IF you need Sheamus to be champ, have the Authority double cross Rollins, Sheamus cashes in, and he becomes the new Authority champ. Rollins becomes the company's biggest face almost overnight.

SS card not looking very good

Brock vs Taker - Meh

Rollins vs Cena - Good

Shield vs Wyatts - Good

Owens vs Cesaro - Good

IC 3 way - Awful

Tag titles 4 way - Awful

Neville/Actor guy vs Dust/Wade - Awful

Orton vs Shaemus - Meh

Divas revolution - Meh
I think the Tag Title has 3/4 worth of good teams. Luchadores are almost always money, New Day works as a heel faction, although I'm not a huge fan of PTP....they seem to be bringing it with Titus O'Neill looking like he could become a viable singles wrestler. Not a huge fan of Los Matadores.....but hey...they have a midget bull.

I actually thought shaemus was going to win last night and thought "whoah, this is interesting". It's been a long long while since a belt changing hands was a surprise. Even if he dropped it a week later it would still be fun. Titles used to change hands on non PPV events often enough to be interesting.

I guess I'm slightly more optimistic on some of these, and a bit less on others.

Brock/Taker-meh, could be good if Brock wins decisively

Rollins/Cena-Good, great if Rollins wins

Wyatts/Shield-Good, but has potential to be great

Owens/Cesaro-Likely match of the night

IC 3 way-Awful, could be ok if Miz wins

Tag Title 4-way-good, could steal the show

Neville+Amell/Barrett+Stardust-ok, could be surprisingly good

Orton/Sheamus-Bathroom break, honestly who is this match for, does anyone care?

Women's match-Good, could steal the show

Of course the NXT show the night before could easily be better

Balor/Owens ladder match-good, could be the best match of the weekend

Sasha/Bayley-great, could be the best match of the weekend

Breeze/Liger-good, could be great depending on how much Liger has left

Blake+Murphy/Vaudevillains-ok, could be good

Samoa Joe/Corbin-meh, could be ok I guess

Apollo Crews debut-good, excited to see him in NXT

Only Vince, at this point.

Apparently NXT show is sold out with 13k+ in Brooklyn night before Summerslam.

Is there any doubt at this point that NXT is the '2nd biggest promotion' in the United States now?? It'd take TNA few weeks worth of shows to hit a cummulative amount of that many people. The end is near for them.

This card is ridiculous. Will blow away SummerSlam.

:lmao: This should be good.....

WWE Tough Enough host Chris Jericho announced on Twitter that the remaining competitors will have their first matches on tonight's show:

  • ZZ vs. Josh
  • Amanda vs. Sara Lee
  • Tanner vs. GiGi

Ring of Honor is 2nd.

Dying to see Corbin squash Joe.
Doubt that will happen. NXT will need a top face when Balor moves up and it will most likely need to be Joe until Zayn/Itami return.

I haven't watched much of this. Caught about 10 mins last night and instantly hated ZZ, only because how horrible he was in the ring this far along.

2 things about last night I forgot:

My absolute favorite scene outside of Summer Rae was New Day backstage chanting, "Heeeyyyyyy we want some New Day!!!" #2livecrew

Also, if you want to make Cena's return feel at least a bit questionable, why put him on Tough Enough this week? Keep him off everything until the PPV.

 He's awful. I just love the vote trolling. The storyline writing and entertainment value of the current product is so bad right now I love to see ZZ just win it all. Why not? Mata, Josh and perhaps Patrick/Tanner will all get at least get chances at WWE in future.I just can't see ZZ lasting on the road with WWE :lmao: He looks like a fish outta water in the gym. I can't believe he plays college football (apparently)....at any level.

I just imagine Vince and/or HHH backstage with a beat red face when the voting results revealed. THOSE DAMN TWITTERERS!!!

So just realized Sasha and Owens will be pulling double duty, back to back nights. The way those NXT matches go that's not going to be easy.

I think this year's Tough Enough has a whole lot of guys with a good look that could have a future in the company in some capacity Go back at that last Tough season (2011?) with the Texas Tattlesnake Steve Austin for comparison. I didn't see a single guy casted that had any shot of a future other that the finalist that lost (Think name was Ryan, but he didn't have much of a chance IMO with his size). Big ####### Andy Silent Rage? :lmao: https://youtu.be/J4TT6EfVGvM?t=25

Tough Enough

Surprisingly good episode. Probably not saying a lot, but best of the season.

Voting ongoing now. Gigi is a goner. And deservedly so IMO. She was clueless on how to get cheers. Tanner I think may get saved by Daniel Bryan (though I think Gigi is going home based on vote anyway)

ZZ runs circles around these guys with character and understanding you've got to get a reaction out there. I just don't see him as a guy that'll last in the company with travel, work needed to put in, etc..

Ok relax marks.

Plus this is two monster shows. Not some 200 seat gymnasium full of Indy loving dorks.

After the 1st 2 matches on this list, I really don't care. I'm given to understand that Samoa Joe is some of kind of indy legend, but he just doesn't do anything for me. At least not yet. I like Blake and Murphy a little bit, but the Vaudevillians are lame. I know nothing about Crews, so I guess I'm a little curious.

I never saw Joe before he came to NXT. I haven't been really impressed.

ETA: That being said, his reputation still makes him intriguing.

Ugh. ZZ had the crowd eating out of his hands during the post game show. It may up that the least skilled man and woman win the whole thing.

Same here. Hype was off the charts but in the 4 or 5 matches he's had he's been awful. Very boring.Only thing I know of Joe now is he's the loser that injured Tyson Kidd.

Crews is crazy athletic, and has a very different moveset. He's probably the future of NXT, after Zayn and Balor get called up.

Samoa Joe was a great wrestler once upon a time, but his prime was at least 5 years ago. He kind of seems like he's on the Samoa Joe greatest hits tour on NXT right now. His moves are similar, but there isn't anything behind them so to speak. Kinda like Orton on the main roster in my opinion.

Does it make me a hypocrite that I have no interest at all in seeing a 50 year old Undertaker, but am very interested in a 50 year old Liger? Its probably because I've seen Taker wrestle this year, and haven't seen Liger in like a decade, and it helps that he's fighting Tyler Breeze and not Brock Lesnar, so I'll be less perturbed if he goes over, but still?

100% agree. I never saw Owens before NXT, but he was instantly compelling, and he's one of my favorites already. Joe does nothing for me.

Joe's been going through the motions for years. He's really just let himself go over the years and it greatly impact his ring work.

I'm suddenly not going to like him again just because he joined WWE and started to get in some semblance of shape.

Good for him for showing some motivation and getting in better shape. But he became so blah in TNA over the last several years

Joe had some really great matches in TNA back when TNA was worth watching. When it started going downhill and and TNA started pushing has-beens and stopped focus on Styles, Joe, Daniels and the other guys that the TNA crowd really came to see, they stopped caring. I even thought his first few matches with Kurt Angle were pretty damn good.

They have Neville at 5'8, 194 lbs? That must mean HHH and the green arrow guy are both 6'9.

Unless they were standing on blocks, they were at least a foot taller than that guy.

He's definitely cut, but man he's tiny. If anyone in the history of WWE could pull off a nickname like "Mighty Mouse", it's Neville. He's got the ears and the cape for it.

Yeah, Owens is good. Great worker in the ring and good characterization. Almost seems like he has a bit of a leash when it comes to characterization because he does seem to go off the cuff a bit. At any rate, if Vince has as big a thumb on wrestlers personalities/characters as people claim, that's a huge mistake with Owens.....he really seems like he'd be able to excel at creating his own brand.

I don't think Neville's ever going to be a main eventer. Too small and doesn't talk well. Talent out the ### though.

Last year, I think most of us thought Cesaro was criminally underused. They seem to have righted that ship. This year....I think they're doing the same to Barrett. The guy has a look, good mike skills and looks like he'd kick the #### out of everyone this side of Lesnar (must be that bare knuckled experience).....burying him with R-Truth (who I do like...but is a clown) and now Stardust (another clown), Green Arrow and Neville (good wrestler...but not physically threatening) is a waste of talent.

RE: Neville and some of the guys who can't work the mic.....is there another "Heymanesque" person in the company that can be a manager? Now I know Heyman is A+++, but still...there would have to be someone who could make that work. Would be fun to have some managers again.

Maybe Jericho?

Personality very similar to Punks. I can def see Owens as an anti-Authority face or the ruthless, don't care about anyone except himself heel. I thought he was a lock to go over Cesaro in this feud but now I'm not so sure.

Zeb is the only other one that can even approach Heyman. Hadn't thought of recent retirees though. What is Stevie Richards doing these days? Shane Douglass never had a problem on the mic.

They seem to have gotten away from that, but I've always thought Miz would be great in that role. Maybe not for Neville who probably has to be a babyface, but for the heels.

Owens is an amazing heel. I haven't felt that level of hatred for a character in a long time. But in a good way, not a Sheamus way.

Miz would be the perfect new Heel Manager. Quits full time performing due to "movie making". Can take the occasional manager bump. He wouldn't be Paul Heyman, but he could be a Bobby Heenan type.

In other words, just another WWE PPV... :coffee:

Like Jonny Fairplay, but with talent.

Mic work is the reason Neville will never be a big time player. I think he can be a decent mid card guy but his mic work is just off the charts bad. Can't understand a word the guy says. He doesn't acknowledge or relate to the audience at all either in the ring.. He's another cruiserweight/X division type that's too worried about 'getting their #### in'.

You can throw Neville in a group with a talker. I just don't think the guy will ever be a big success on his own.
