Bray had been dealing with an undisclosed illness for an awhile. Bray had been battling an illness that threatened both his career and life. Up until recently it had looked like the worst had passed

Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda - also known as Bray Wyatt - unexpectedly passed earlier today. Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.
Wow Rotunda called you?

No it’s suppose to be the Twitter of Triple H for some reason on a phone it doesn’t copy the handle

“Why would edge sign with AEW ?”

Let’s go over a couple of reasons why

1. Tony khan and AEW is the reason he got back into wrestling

No that isn’t a typo that’s a fact.

Edge wanted to comeback and the WWE would not clear him or let him return.

So a mutual friend got TK and Edge talking.

Tony khan offered Edge a contract to come to AEW.

Edge then went back to the WWE and said look I’m taking this deal and coming back to wrestling one way or another.

This changed Vince McMahon mind and the WWE offered edge a new contract and had doctors clear him.

Edge stayed with the WWE.

But if not for AEW offering edge a deal, none of the incredible comeback happens.

2. FTR helped edge train and got him ready to return to the ring.

On television, Edge talked about how sheamus helped him for his return for the ring.

While that is true that sheamus did come by for a couple days to help Edge

His MAIN training partners were cash and Dax.

Edge is neighbors and friends with Cash and Dax in North Carolina.

Cash and dax helped edge believe he was able to do this again ! He was able to wrestle with the top guys of this generation still.

Dax has spoken openly about how he believes edge could come to AEW and it’s more likely then people believe..

3. His Childhood best friend

We all know that edges best friend is Christian.

They have been best friends (basically brothers) since they were kids.

It was both their dreams to become professional wrestlers TOGETHER

They made that dream a reality.

When edge was forced to retire in 2010 he said the biggest regret he has was that he couldn’t have one last program and match with Christian.

Edge has been on the record multiple times that if there is one person he could hand pick for his last match ever….it’s Christian.

4. No damage done with the WWE

everyone keeps saying why would edge “betray” the WWE 🤣

It’s not a betrayal !

Edges contract is running out.

He’s not quitting on them to join AEW.

He didn’t ask to be released.

Edge is all ready in the WWE HALL OF FAME.

RVD just announced that the WWE gave him permission to work with AEW and aren’t mad at him.

You don’t think the WWE / HHH wouldn’t understand that he wants to have his last match ever with his childhood best friend ?

When HHH entire career has been about his friendship with the Kliq.

If edge is only signing with AEW to have one or two matches….

His relationship with the WWE behind the scenes will not change whatsoever.

There alone is four VALID reasons edge could sign with AEW.

So let’s stop pretending that it’s impossible.

Because I haven’t forgotten that these same people said it was IMPOSSIBLE that Cody Rhodes would go back to the WWE 🤣

Never say never in PROFESSIONAL WRESTING.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Tony Khan addressed who he would trust to run AEW if he was not able to do it himself:

“He hasn’t been around as much lately because he’s been recovering from an injury.

But if I got hit by a bus, or if I was ever incapacitated for some reason, the person I told my father that he should turn to is Bryan Danielson.”

According to Bryan Alvarez, there is heat on AR Fox due to the nature of his withdrawal.

"No AR Fox. I don't know everything that happened but he cannot make it to the show and the impression I was given was that they were not happy with that because they found out at the very last minute. And so not only was he removed from the match but he was removed from Swerve Strickland's group.”

According to Sportskeeda, all the plans for #SmackDown tonight have been called off and all meetings have been canceled until further notice.

If this is the case, A full-blown tribute show tonight with everyone sharing their fondest memories of Windham Rotunda would be the best route to go.

Similar to Brodie Lee, There has not been one person that has said anything negative about Bray Wyatt whatsoever. The positive impact that he had on people’s lives was certainly felt throughout the industry.

If there was a time to dedicate a whole show to one individual, this would be the time.

#RIPBrayWyatt

Worked screwed me up. I asked for vacation day last Mon and Yesterday. Problem is my dumb manager who can't admit mistakes thought I wanted vacationg Mon till Sat. I got paid but forgot to take off for All In today. So I hope they don't expect much work from me today. Boss leaves at 1-1:15 hopefully and then the mice are playing.

Tony Khan's mother Anna has a birthday today. Very special day for her and her family today. AEW has come a long way since they started. To think this all started with a tweet from a WWE guy (No seriously the guys twitter is WWE GUY) to Dave Meltzer asking if ROH could sell out a 10K-15K arena show and the Elite surprised it. This led to them creating AEW thanks to Tony Khan and family.

Very pro Samoa Joe crowd in the first match punk getting lots of boos. MJF/Cole win ROH tag titles from Aussie open, Hook beat Jack Perry to claim the FTW title back in a match Funker would be proud of. Golden elite lost a good match to BCGold and Takeshita with the surprise pin

BCCC loses the Stadium stampede in another Match Terry Funk would be proud of. HOB lose to the Acclaim and Bad *** Billy Gunns for the Trios titles.MJF/VS Cole went to a time limit draw then suden death in a very well done story tonight. Very good All In and at the end it was announced All In Wembley 2 next Aug 25

MJF RETAINS THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!
Adam Cole REJECTED Roderick Strong's help and it costs him. MJF tries to make up with Adam Cole after but Cole is furious. MJF reminds Cole that they're still Tag Team Champs but Cole throws the belts away.
MJF says YOU FAKE PIECE OF SHI** WAS IT ALL FOR THE BELT? YOU CAN TAKE THE F**KING BELT. GET IT OVER WITH. TAKE ME OUT.
Cole comes to his senses and Love Wins.

At the post show press scrum, Tony Khan confirmed reports of a physical altercation backstage at All In, saying he can confirm there was an incident but he will not be speaking more about it tonight.

Fightful reported CM Punk and Jack Perry got into it backstage tonight after Jack Perry made reference to the previous verbal altercation over Jack Perry's request to use real glass for a segment.

MJF is the next Rock

MJF was asked about AEW possibly running a stadium in Mexico or even Puerto Rico in future. Tony Khan says that's a very good idea.

One of those guys draws money... The other could be gone from the roster tomorrow and there would be no difference to the product.

I like Adam Cole, but is it just me or are his ring entrance jackets like a size or two too large for him? I think he does it on purpose to make himself look larger, but the net effect for me is that he looks like a kid wearing his dad's coat :lmao: it's ill-fitting enough that I can't help but notice it every time he walks out lol

Yep, Khan needs to fire someone to let all these clowns, Punk included, know that this crap cannot continue. You don't fire the highest guy on the totem pole of the problem children. It's like when Jimmy Johnson would fire a rookie who would fall asleep in a team meeting, but if Troy Aikman did it, he'd get a slap on the wrist. Different rules for different people. It's how the world works. Khan needs to send a message.

BREAKING, Tony Khan has just announced a new PPV in honor of Antonio Inoki on the post show press conference of ALL IN.

This new PPV will be called WRESTLEDREAM

The first Wrestledream event will be held in Seattle on Oct 1st.

Saraya is the women’s world champion of AEW!!! 😍
I want a match between Toni Storm and Sweet Saraya. I'm guessing that Saraya stays heel, Storm becomes a face (hence the new look), and once again Ruby Soho is the proverbial monkey in the middle.
Saraya seems like the face here or tweener. Storm threw i think Baker or shida into the barricade where the Knight family was and Saraya got upset with her over it. The way Saraya celebrated it looked pretty baby face. Storm later in the match attach Saraya and a Ruby got in the middle only for Toni to push her away

Here’s the thing though. Locker room was fine. Yeah they butted heads but you didn’t have the physical fighting or bullying till punk came in the picture.

Or just talk to Punk since both fights have involved him. I sense a pattern.

If Orange Cassidy can successfully defend against Penta El Zero M on Wednesday night, he will put the International Championship on the line against Jon Moxley at AEW “All Out” in Chicago next Sunday.

There are multiple conflicting accounts of what happened backstage between CM Punk and Jack Perry.

We know Punk and Perry confronted each other backstage as Punk headed to the entrance area for his match.

PWTorch reports Punk got in Perry’s face and asked if they had a problem. As words were exchanged, Punk pie-faced Perry and then restrained him in a facelock and threw some punches at him before he was pulled off.

Fightful Select reports “one side of the story” said Perry is the one who approached Punk backstage first and bumped into his chest. Punk then put him in a choke before it was broken up.

A PWInsider Elite report said Punk is the one went after Perry and “even ‘hit’ Perry,”.

Perry was asked to leave the building after this and PW Torch reports CM Punk left the building after his match with Samoa Joe.

More on this

Tony Khan has announced AEW WrestleDream on PPV October 1st in Seattle, Washington.

This show will be done in memory of Antonio Inoki, on the first anniversary of his death. Tony Khan confirms New Japan will have a presence on the event.

Please no I don’t want to see Saraya hurt again by this unsafe wrestler

Tony Khan says Mercedes Mone is not yet cleared to wrestle but he would love to bo buisiness with her once she is.

Saraya says she can't wait for Mercedes to finally join them in AEW.

Yep, Punk is the common denominator, so he is a problem, but not necessarily the only problem. Ultimately, we will likely never really know what happened yesterday, as anyone who already hates Punk will believe any story that comes about that isn't favorable towards him, and anyone who is willing to give Punk the benefit of the doubt will not.

Gave my $50 to Bleacher Report for the PPV yesterday. And while it wasn't bad, really hard to justify that kind of money for a show. WWE/Peacock has us spoiled with the subscription fee model. Also, the grumpy old man in me either needs the nighttime start or the really early Saudi Start. 11am-5pm just kinda takes up the whole day.

That said, my grumpy old man highlights/thoughts were:
  • Jack Perry/Hook was good for what it was. I think Perry can could be another Christian Cage for 20 years. Play mostly a heel with a few face turns to be the plucky underdog on occasion. Jury still out on Hook, he could be a megastar or out of the business in three years.
  • Punk/Joe was a lot of fun. Enjoyed the tributes and callbacks. Punk starting the Cena five moves of doom gets me every time. Men at their age should not be putting on a match that good.
  • I need Kenny Omega in singles matches. I heard Kota Ibushi was fat, but he was not. Page surprises me every time I watch him perform. Jay White needed more time and I always knew CJ Parker would eventually make it.
  • Call me a mark, but I like The Young Bucks. I don't watch AEW weekly, so maybe I'm just not overly saturated, but I think they put on entertaining matches. Loved the tribute to Freddie Mercury, and laying down to FTR makes me think they want to do the right thing for the business. FTR can do no wrong, we are going to miss them when they are done. This match might have been my favorite of the night. The tributes to Jay Briscoe and Bray were touching.
  • Stadium Stampede matches should be stupid, awkward and not needed. But AEW has figured out the special sauce to make them work. Highlights included Mox taking a headfull of wooden skewers that stuck and dangled, the Eddie Kingston return with the barbed wire chair and Orange Cassidy just standing out and getting the pin, blooded and taped hand full of glass. Also the BBC trenchcoats and sunglasses were a nice touch. You gotta feel for the guys who probably did a lot of painful stuff that didn't get on camera.
  • Saraya with the feel-good hometown win. I mean she brought her whole family and entered with a Queen song, you knew she was going over. My favorite part was someone brought a sign that said "TONI ST🍑RM"
  • My DJax moment of the night: so weird seeing Swerve Strickland in 2019 do Mr. Ember Moon, Matthew Palmer a favor and wrestle in front of 100 fans that got little reaction to seeing him in such a high profile match with over the top entrance. Coffin matches are stupid, but they did OK. Sting with the bat sticking out was funny. Really wanted Edge to be in the coffin to help Christian win.
  • Jericho/Ospreay was as good as it could have been. Jericho is on my Mount Rushmore, but he can't go with the top of the top anymore. Ospreay should have been higher up on the card. The live performance of Judas was cool, with another Mercury/Live Aid tribute.
  • Trios match felt really off. I get that the Acclaimed are really over, but so were Too Cool at one time. House of Black vs. Judgement Day would break the goth wrestling fans world. I need more Julia Hart in my life. Billy Gunn is about to be 60 years old.
  • Really enjoyed the main event. If both MJF and Adam Cole were 6 inches taller, Vince would have backed up the money truck and they would be trading squash wins over Roman Reigns. While the match was telegraphed, I like the fact they didn't break them up yet. I would ride this friendship story for a while. Has the ability to be better than Jericho/KO.
The card was probably too long as is, but surprised we didn't see Pac and could have used a Kris Statlander and/or Jade Cargill match.

I felt it was a bit long myself. Had a few missing peope. Saraya got the Hayter moment as she's out. I'm surprised AEW didn't have some sort of tag match featuring revpro or other British Indy talent. Was really hoping to see The Knight Brothers on the undercard. None the less I was super happy for her. I hope this doesn't happen but there's talk of Mone coming in and taking the belt and being a transitional champ (Similar to the Thunder Rosa issue) till Hayer comes back and then Hayter takes the belt ALL IN next year. I hope she gets a good reign and you get Hayter vs Saraya at ALL IN next year.

Funny you mention watching Swerve. I use to watch Joe, Punk, Cole, Roddy, Mox, Claudio, Wheeler etc wresting ROH matches at the Armory in Philly and that held less people then the 2300 ECW Arena in South Philly amongst other small venues. So happy for Cole after what he's been through. He's one of the nicest people ever. Really happy to see him in a ring again.

Dare I say it but MJF/Cole storyline might be the best right now in wrestling story telling. MJF is really becoming one of my favorites but this might be better then the Bloodline story. Yes it was a great story for WWE standards but lets not give WWE too much credit. Roman backed them in a corner and threatened to leave during the Pandemic since Vince didn't have his **** in order and acted like another one of those "it's just the flu idiots". Dude threatened to leave the company and for the last few yrs prior wanted to desperately be heel. He asked for Heyman personally too. The only credit WWE should get on that story is making it work in the long run. It's now way past stale. There was no need to keep the title on Roman with some of the storyline stuff they had could've been done without the belts. I don't know if Roman had it in writting during talks again to break the record or and things I know do change but we are beyond the point of beating the dead horse with that storyline. I was tuning in for that now I just want to turn it off. The only way you save this story line now is you end up eventually involving The Rock and Rikishi and maybe some others in the family no contractually obligated else where.

Either way I'm now ranting off topic but I absolutely love the Cole/MJF Bromance and harkens back to the Jericho/KO stuff and might be better then that. Match was perfect how they did it and the ending harping back to their orginal title match was great. I thought for sure Cole or MJF was gonna turn prior

The Trio's tite match was weird. I do don't get why HOB dropped the belts. Acclaim are hot but like you said so was Too Cool at one time and so was ENZO and Cass. I would say The Acclaimed are better talent then the other two though but keep the titles on HOB. Julie Hart definately needs more of a story arch now with them. I think it's a great way to learn. Tommy AKA Malaiki is a great mentor and is always willing to help any talent. He's gone through hell and back in wrestling and life. Brodie and Buddy are both somewhat vets as well. Loved their tribute to Bray. The Wyatt family was probably my favorite of Wyatt's persona's.

I don't mind the Bucks either. I first saw them in TNA as Generation Me. They reminded me of a young Hardy Boyz at the time. So happy to see where they've gotten too. Both FTR and them should be celebrated not hated. They are also pretty cool to hang with and some might not know but they are just as big about video gaming as Kenny is.

I knew CJ Parker woiuld be something as well. Juice character in NJPW was doing some good things but what made him was the IWGP US Title fued he had when Mox debuted in NJPW. Mox made him and they harkened back to their history in FCW/NXT when Mox took him under his wing. Most fans forget by the time Mox was in WWE he had established himself on the Indy scene pretty good. Kenny taking the pin was a bit surprising but I get it

Coffin match was what you'd expect some funny moments and like Tony said Sting might beable to go if they keep his matches low for a good while. Unlike Taker Sting doesn't have some of the issues he did and is in fantastic shape

Osprey vs Jericho was good. There's a reason Osprey is Billy The Goat at this point. His robe paid homage to all the Indy British promotions he wrestled at over the years similar to Cody's weight belt. Osprey has to be wrestler of the year and it's not even close

I watched most of this on a free stream while working. I missed Zero Hour do to my boss being there (caught me once after he got back from his break) and I was tempted to pretend I had work earlier to leave by 3 instead of 4 just to finish the PPV at home. Hopeing they make ALL IN a Yearly thing in different locations each year. Make it their Wrestlemania type thing where they use different stadium locations especially if they can get 80K+ each year. They need to really make their own Big 4 PPV. Yeah with all the Indy shows NJPW ran around here plus this I couldn't jusitify 60 especially with All Out a week after. I'm hoping the MAX streaming service for them comes soon. I could see them waiting till Double or Nothing to announce something next year and hopefully it's not like the ******** ESPN+ and UFC did. Where you pay for ESPN+ then you got to pay for the PPV on top of it? I already do that with Apple and MLS to watch the Union. MAX is also a better streaming service and watching USMNT matches haven't had any if many issues

I thought I heard Statlander is defending the title at All Out. They saved a few things for the Chicago show. Tony Schivione announced a few weeks ago PAC was injured after a match vs Gravity on Dynamite July 26 and will be out for awhile
