My combo is Favre, Brooks, Rivers. (THIS is NOT a WDIS) thread

I'm not sure who I'm starting week 1 from this combo, but i'm leaning towards rivers who has the best matchup vs. Oakland D

If you're QBBC what are you going with for week 1

 
I have Plummer, Brooks and Grossman.

I like Jake's matchup vs STL better than Brooks' vs SD. Then looking forward, Brooks goes against BAL in week two and has a bye in week 3. So it looks like Plummer will be starting for me for the first three weeks.

In weeks 4-7, Brooks will see CLEV, SF, DEN and ARI. He'll very likely get a couple of starts in that stretch (in particular week 4 vs CLEV when Plummer is on bye).

In your QBBC, its a toss up between Rivers and Brooks week one, imo.

 
I've got Hasselbeck, Brooks, Favre, and Simms in a league that lets you start a 2nd QB as a flex. I think I'm going with Hass and Brooks in week 1...

 
I have Brooks, Favre and Kitna. Going with Brooks on MNF, Moss loves to perform in the spot light, Oaklands at home, and I think him and Brooks come up big, so I hope

My QBBC is T. Green, A. Brooks and Plummer. I'm going with T. Green in what I think is a shootout vs Cinci week one.PS, I love this thread and have started it the past 2 seasons. :thumbup:
 
I have Collins , Volek , Carr , Bledsoe , Romo and Losman .

I have to cut one ( i guess it will be Volek but waiting on how it will develop in Tenessee)

 
Favre-Brooks-Rivers seems like a popular combo around here. I've got the same unholy triad and right now have Brooks going. I'd like to see a little more out of Rivers in the regular season before I plug him in.

another brooks favre and rivers owner checking in....although Id like to start rivers... I think the play here is brooks at home against a sd team that has been traditionally good against the run but not so hoy against the pass ..... rememner nrooks CAN and has thrown 3 interceptions and give the other team easy points ...and then he will be playing catch up the whole game for easy garbage yardage/ td's
 
Delhomme, Leftwich (part of QBBC article), then picked up A Brooks in the 2nd to last round, to team up with Randy Moss....

Depending on what I read about the SD secondary this week, might impact starting Brooks over Delhomme, but I'm pretty weary of doing that right now....

 
Kitna-Brooks-Simms. I'm not comfortable at all with it but didn't draft QB until the 10th and there was a run on backup QBs on the way back to me. I think I am starting Kitna this week.

 
Vick, Brad Johnson, and Schaub in a 14 teamer. Starting Vick at Carolina. Ugh.

Vick, Favre, and Brunell in a 10 teamer, start 2. Starting Vick and Brunell. Ugh again.

Delhomme is what i'd consider a premium QB who's a stud and not to be a true part of a QBBC.I think he's a must-start each week regardless of matchup until proven otherwise.

Yeah, this blows... but I'm anti-vick and in my leagues we give pointage for total yards, not broken down by passing and running, so the running QBs take a massive hit.

yeah, i didn't take a QB until the 8th and the backup QB run already had started also.GLL

interesting, Stuart had Oakland as 22nd on the pass defense scale.. that's pretty bad if you ask me.I'm going with brooks mainly because of the monday night moss mojo, and the fact that I haven't seen rivers in a live game before.

Rivers and Vick to decide between here. I would like to see more of Rivers too, before I start him. But Rivers versus Oakland as opposed to Vick at Carolina is more tempting. :o :bag: :banned:

Draft tommorrow an am targeting the Brooks/Favre duo. If I can add a 3rd I will, but won't reach for one. I think Brooks/Favre have alot of tasty matchups.

Drafting now and just did that! :thumbup: Wanted Kitna too but didn't work out.We have to have 3 QBs so I just put Andrew Walter on my roster as well.

I have Bulger, Warner and Brooks. Going with Warner this week vs SF. If all can stay behind center this year it should pay off.

Got Warner, Brooks and Leftwich. Much to my surprise, Rivers went quite early. Starting Warner this week.Regarding Favre, I considered him but I believe this is the year that we see a lot of Brett on the bench in the 3rd/4th quarters after the Packers are down by 20. They have to give Aaron Rodgers some game time this year to see what they have.
 
In 2 16 team leagues, both Warner and Brooks went earlier than I'd hoped, so I have the Favre-Rivers combo in both. Going with Rivers against Oakland, only because it's so much better than Favre vs. Chicago..

 
Plummer, Brooks, Brunell. Going with Plummer at the moment vs. STL. Don't trust Brooks yet. Can really get burned on turnovers, -3 in my league.

 
In one league I have a tandem of Michael Vick/Trent Green. I have Green going in that one against Cinci in what I hope will be a shootout.

Another league I have Jon Kitna and David Carr. I have Kitna starting against Seattle in the lesser of two evils kind of deal.

That also happened to me; my 1st was the 17th taken;I ended up with Favre, McNair, Collins(from waivers)Starting Favre.
 
How's everyone still doing in this thread...I got Plummer-Rivers-Leftwich and started Plummer against what I thought would be an easy St Louis D. Pretty much lost me the game in a few of my leagues.

Encouraged by Rivers but man, that playcalling. It made sense, but it's not good for fantasy. He faces a Tenn D that gave up 300+ and 2 tds to Pennington, but I could see more of the same from what happened with Oakland. As for the Snake, I could give him another chance against KC. No Trent Green tho, so it shouldn't be a shootout but the Broncos should get better field position. And its in Mile High. Lefty faces Pitts so I'll probably leave him on the bench for now.

Ah, the joys of QBBC.

I've got Leftwich and Pennington

Started Leftwich last week and he ended up 3 points shy of Pennington. This week I'm not sure.

Pennington vs. NE

Leftwich vs. Pitt

Seems like Pennington but what he did against Tenn doesn't make me all giddy.

Leftwich should have a 200 yard 1-2 TD game against Pitt...nothing great but enough.

I've got the Green/Vick combo and eked out a win tthx to Tomlinson and Ravens D. Not thrilled that Vick is now my starter, though week one was encouraging, I guess
 
Plummer, Vick, Favre - Plummer is officially benched until i see something. Leaning towards favre in week 2, he has a history of coming out and firing rockets after a down week.

 
this is going to end very badly... if you got warner, your QBBC is looking good

for those of us that went brooks favre rivers.. well... brooks is aweful, favre is through.. and marty won't let rivers throw...

this is going to ruin my season.

 
I got Bledsoe, Rivers, Favre, Romo.

I'm leaning toward starting Rivers in Wk 2 just cause of the easy D. I am considering Favre, though, because New Orleans D isn't good. Their O is gonna roll on GB D. In a shootout Favre might throw a few picks, but he could also throw 2-3 TD.

 
This QBBC concept is going quite badly...

I'm cutting brooks from the favre, rivers, brooks combo.

I don't see any combo that has brooks in it doing well for Chase's strategy.

I've added pennington in one league, and in the other where he was gone i'm attempting to add grossman this week...

Sure seems like a lot of busts through 2 weeks of this season.

 
Already dumped Brooks for Alex Smith. Kept Plummer active this week, and still won in spite of it. Also have Brunell on the bench. I think next week I'll take Brunell vs. the #32 pass D Texans instead of Smith vs. #27 Eagles, but still thinking hard about that one.

For the record, the current worst Pass Ds are rated by nfl.com to be Houston, NYG, Packers, Titans, Browns, Eagles, Cards, Lions, Falcons. Jax/Pit TBD.
