Official Rudy Giuliani Thread (1 Viewer)

“For the reasons that follow, we conclude that there is uncontroverted evidence that respondent communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump…”

🤔

I would love to see Powell and Wood get the same. Then Dominion win their lawsuits against them and Fox.
Not sure about Powell, but, I think Wood has disciplinary proceeding pending in Georgia.  They want him to get a Psych Eval.

Powell's bigger concerns could well be financial - not just the lawsuit, but I could see sanctions and attorney's fees awarded against her in a few of the ill-fated law suits.

Your day is going better than Rudy's.

Pinning all hopes to his son's budding political career moving forward sounds awesome to me.

💕 this story.

From the Fox News article. I particularly like the bolded:

Examples of the statements included claims that more absentee ballots were submitted in Pennsylvania than were distributed, despite state records showing this to be false, and claims that thousands of dead people voted in Philadelphia (sometimes said to be 8,021, but also claimed to be 30,000), including former boxing great Joe Frazier. The court noted that the state canceled Frazier's voting eligibility three months after he died in 2012. The ruling also said that Giuliani misrepresented the nature of a court case involving the election in Pennsylvania, where he made fraud-related arguments despite the fact that fraud claims were not being made.

I think this is somewhat rare.  A preliminary ruling - which by definition relies only on "uncontroverted evidence" - entered to protect the public pending a final determination.  It seems Rudy's lawyers made a strategic decision - rather than arguing that he didn't lie, that his statements were factual or otherwise somehow not in violation of the NY Rules of Professional Conduct, they essentially conceded his multiple statements about election fraud were false, but argued that application of the rules to Rudy in this case is unconstitutional. Bold move imo.

Here's the full ruling

So Rudy loses his livelihood as a consequence of his efforts to do Trump’s bidding and his reward is he gets stiffed on his invoices. That’s actually kind of sad if true.

It was as predictabl as the trees being filled with underwear every Halloween.

This is Trump.  He's done it his whole life.

Rudy should have known to get paid upfront or at least periodically.  Even though its Giuliani, it is still a little sad to see someone that has shown that much loyalty just get tossed aside and laughed at.

Don't really know where this should go, but the judge that summoned Powell to Detroit yesterday confirmed that she's going to face a hearing on sanctions next week, along with the other attorneys that filed this frivolous election fraud case.

Well it’s not like Rudy is some innocent babe in the woods. He knew what he was doing. Spitting all this crap out for Trump, legitimizing all this voter garbage.

Send em up the river!

Amazing. The guy put it all on the line to show total loyalty to Trump, and just like we’ve seen with dozens of others in Trump’s orbit, he dismisses them as soon as he no longer sees a financial or political benefit to keeping them around. “Rudy?  Never met the guy.”

Wonder if they got Rudy's consent before doing so. Reminds me of conceding less serious counts as a defense attorney.

Gotta admire the confidence Trump has in Rudy’s loyalty. Rudy has to have a treasure trove of dirt on Trump just based on his publicly known activities and probably more that we don’t know about. But rather than paying him off to keep quiet, he’s cutting him off like he’s a contractor. Bold strategy for sure.

Great point.  I believe, Trump believes, he's untouchable as a former POTUS and he may be right.

You would think a "billionaire" like the former guy would have no problem paying a guy that stayed so loyal.  Why people admire and stand up for this piece of work, I don't understand.
