So the packs are $5.50 MEX, or about $0.50 USD for 5 stickers.

Each box contains 100 packs of 5, or 500 stickers. That means each box costs $50.00 plus another $3 for the album. I figure shipping from CA to wherever you are will be like $10 or so. Call it $65 and I think that's a pretty good estimate for the cost of these stickers.

My wife has agreed to buy the albums and boxes in Mexico and either transport them back to the US in her luggage, or ship them via DHL/UPS/whatever.

If she's bringing them back with her, she'll only get one box per person. I said that wasn't enough, but I'm not sure I have enough pull to get her to go out of her way to ship a box back to the US full of World Cup stickers.

Thoughts?

Any chance the petition against Ribery's 3 game red will be successful? They shouldn't keep a player of his caliber away from the Championship match for something like that.

Inter played wonderfully. I don't give a #### what anyone says, if they were my team I'd be pretty proud. Lucio was a ####### man and I thought they did a great job closing down anything but crosses which Barca was never going to win. The red was a bit of a beat but I do think it was not undeserved bc Matta was already on a yellow.

If, if, if Barca had Iniesta or whatever but Inter played the match they needed to and moved on. And let me not forget that save Cesar made on Messi. Simply awesome.

So now it's the Brazilians/Argentines vs the Dutch/Polish for the championship of Europe. Go South America!

:lmao: Yeah- so to be honest... I'm an Inter fan, so my loyalties are always going to lie there.

That said, regardless of any outcome to the contrary, Barca is the best team on the planet- any fan of the sport that doesn't like watching them play is... dunno... not a real fan. They really do play "the beautiful game" and it's a joy to watch.

Having said that... the hand to the neck, "ow my face just got hit with a hammer and I'll roll around holding my eyes until something happens" makes me ill. Thiago Matta should've known better to get his hand up over chest height, especially carrying a yellow- but that's going to happen in any game- you'd prefer not to expect the opposing player to act like a ####.

But Inter does it's share. As do the other Barca players. Too bad really.

Inter was always going to be packing it in here- down to 10 and up goals away, what else are they going to do? Thought they played a perfect game in the first leg- defending as a team and limiting Barca's quality opportunities while attacking with venom when they could. This game was much the same, without the attacking.

And Barca just couldn't find a way to create many real opportunities. Is it me, or did they have better chances in the first leg?

So. Considering I think Barca's the best team on the planet, I don't think the "best" team won. But Inter played the game better according to their own style in the first leg and did what they had to in the 2nd.

People crying about Inter getting what they "deserve" in the final are just crying and will hopefully get over it in time to enjoy what should be a pretty good final.

I just looked at the starting 11 and 3 subs for the two final teams from this week. You are exactly right regarding Inter. 4 Starters from Brazil and 4 from Argentina; 1 each from Cameroon, Netherlands and Romania. The subs were from Colombia, Ghana and Kenya. That's 9 South Americans, 3 Africans and 2 Europeans. (zero Italians)Bayern had 6 starters from Germany, 2 from Netherlands, 1 each from Belgium, Turkey and Croatia. The subs were from Argentina, Germany and Austria. That's 13 Europeans and 1 South American. (Seven Germans)Go Europe!

If the Red Bulls win again this weekend, they will have 5 wins.

They didn't have their 5th win until Oct 24 last season.

That is quite a turnaround!

I believe they are off to their best start in their miserable 15 year history.

Inter has Zanetti... cripes... I never knew he was Argentinian! Always seemed like a throw-back Italian to me..

Part of the confusion is that Inter once had another Zanetti on their roster - Cristiano Zanetti - who is Italian. Christiano's time at Inter overlapped with Javier's and he also played for Roma, Juventes and (currently) Fiorentina.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cristiano_Zanetti

Jesus, did I miss the first leg?

Man, it sure looks like I did. I'm ashamed.

I was traveling to Mexico this time last week and must have slipped my mind.

OK... well, 1-0 isn't great, but I'll take it. I'm not sure that the Atleti D can hold out for a nil-nil draw (Inter they are not), so I think that either Kun or Forlán is going to have to put one in the back of the net. Atleti is starting their "attacking" lineup with Kun, Forlán up top with Simao and Reyes on the wings. Raúl Garcia and Paulo Assunço will be holding down the center of the pitch. this is probably their best lineup IMO, as Camacho is still too young to start in the middle in a game like this.

Look for them to push the ball up the wings with Simao providing service, Reyes taking defenders on individually, and Forlán to try and get a goal off a deflection or header. Kun will be there to cause havok with his athleticism and should be moving around a lot in this game.

With Torres out, ´pool has basically no teeth up top (sorry Kuyt, you're not cutting it). If Atlético loses, it will be on the feet of Benayoun, Babel, and Gerrard, who may be able to take advantage of the porous back like of my rojiblancos.

¡Viva Atleti! VAMOS!!!!

So I dvr'd the game while at work and made it home in perfect time to finish it for the puck drop in the Caps game. :goodposting:

Worst 4hrs of sports ever.

Wow - this is certainly surprising, probably deserves it's own thread even...

Aguero headed to Chelsea

Klinnesman has just been added to the growing list of analysts for the World Cup.

He joins Shaun Bartlett, Robbie Mustow, Ruud Gullit, Alexi Lalas, John Harkes, Efan Ekoku and Steve McMannaman.

Klinnesman will specifically be a studio host appearing pregame, halftime, post game and on sports center.

I have not heard any names yet for the announcers outside of JP and Tyler.

WOW!!!

I had to borrow a friend's car to go to a sports bar to watch today. Lord knows I wasn't going to do any work during those 3 hours.

Forlán!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!

I'll believe it when the ink is dry, and then I probably won't be too happy about it at that price. I've only seen him play a few times and am not confident he'll be successful in the prem - too small and weak.

I don't see anything on Marca or AS.... Not saying it's not true, but it looked like it was a done deal last summer as well...

He might be small, but the dude is built like a tank. Low center of gravity and is hard to knock off the ball. I wouldn't call him weak.

I don't care if it's super gay... Diego Forlán is ripped: http://www.as.com/futbol/fotogaleria/liver...dasdasftb_1/Zes
It's OK. A page back when Zanetti was being discussed... I thought about was his hair. The man has awesome hair on his head. 90 minutes of running, tackling, being an icon, etc.. and he looks like he just got styled at Vidal Sasoon for a 10k cut. The hair is amazing!Anyone that says his cut is not #1 in the world of football has hidden issues. It's OK to admire hair and not be ####, right?

ETA: Can you say gay and not ####?

I think he'll be tremendous for Chelsea. I wonder where they will play him though.
