Here are the quarter final matches

Costa Rica vs Honduras

Mexico vs Guat

Panama vs El Salvador

Jamaica vs US/Canada

US in with win or tie, else Canada advances.

If things go a certain way, US could meet Panama in semi's

Guad with the same high pressure Panama used.

Let's see if the US gets rattled, or tries and does possess.

Let's also see if Guad can maintain that pressure given they've played a lot of minutes with 10 men in the first two games.

Lichaj looks good early. Very physical. (although he might have been the one that let that corner drop in the box earlier, i dont remember)

They are taking it to the US left back here. Trying to get Licaj out of position.

I swear I nearly chucked my phone through my TV on that muffed corner defense.

Wondo seems like one of those strikers who you know will never score consistently against good competition but adds a little something extra that the rest of the players don't. Always working hard, good hold up play.

Eerily reminiscent of....Brian Ching.

bigger upside IMO
Ching had the bigger upside. Lots of nuance to his game, along with tireless hustle. Not a great player, but more complete than Wondo. And a much better fit in the Bradley system. That said, I'd love to have Wondo prove me compltely wrong and score a ####load of goals for the US. So far, I'm not seeing him combine well with anybody. But he does bring a different style than Agudelo who plays too similar to Jozy right now.ugh... too many closish calls on defense.eta: and Ching had a lot of minutes played with LD to help him in that system. he always made LD a better player when he was in there.

Thankfully Dempsey isn't the sort of dude that missing two clear opportunities will dent his confidence.

Jozy on the other hand...

Ching was absolutely zero threat against good teams. Wondo is a very minor threat simply because he's liable to pull a rabbit out of a hat.Neither are the answer but it is obvious that we need someone with a motor opposite jozy.
