Another thought that comes to mind is that PL -- and its Euro competitors -- have only scratched the surface so far in the Chinese, Indian and North American markets, markets composed of something like 2.5 billion potential fans.

What does this mean?

There are different standards US Soccer mandates for Div 1, Div 2 and Div 3 status. USL feels like they are close enough to make the jump from Div 3 to Div 2 status in a couple of years.

It's interesting. I love promotion/relegation. But with SO MUCH MONEY at stake, shady things could start happening.

I mean, no matter what happens in the NFL, the teams are going to make bank.

But I imagine losing out on PL money is something that teams will do anything to avoid. It also would be devastating for teams that have built a roster with PL money to have a bad year and get relegated. Instantly the whole organization could implode. It's cool to watch, but for a business owner, it's a huge risk.

We'll see. I had thought that Cuadrado would be brought in to kind of be a middle ground between Willian's ridiculous workrate and a more technical player. But I should have known that Jose wouldn't give up Willian's engine easy.

Probably better to put this conversation on hold while the afternoon games are on but things would be better without owners.

I see that one result of the new contract is that the Espanyol president just said he's ready to shut La Liga down unless they get a collectively bargained TV contract like PL has. For all I know, however, this may be a routine threat tendered every couple of years.

It basically calculates the top 8, and allows you to put in future results to see how things can play out. Let me know if anyone is interested and I can upload it somewhere to share.
