It would be interesting to see what Pogba demands. He's just as underpaid as Sterling, IMO, but I'm pretty sure that Pogba would be worth whatever deal he gets. I think Sterling would be a bit overpaid at 150 thousand pounds a week, but that's just me.

They've already been promoted like three times and should get it again today. Really neat story.

If Montreal won this CL, am I right in assuming that next year they would play in a tournament involving the European CL winners? If so, that would be the first competitive match for an mls team against a European team (friendlies aside), right?

This is not true imo.
A global championship tournament as the world's biggest club event is the next logical step, though there's obviously lots of work to do. If MLS grows to the point where its clubs can be competitive with Europe's, then those old UEFA guys will cast longing glances at our giant stadia and potentially massive tv revenues.
Gerrard should have left to MLS after last season. He only stuck around because he bought into the Liverpool hype that they'd compete for the title this year.
If Pogba comes to England, it won't be to play for a Europa League club with a low profile manager.
I actually think playing in the EL is a net negative for clubs given how much of a burden it is to play on Thursdays. I'd rather my team finish 8th than 5th for that reason. I'd even venture to guess that United might not have finished top 4 this year had they finished in the EL spots last year.
Depends on the squad - and playing Thursday/Sunday is really no different than playing Wednesday/Saturday. Biggest difference may be the cities you are traveling to/from...

Of the three strikers who moved from ATM to Chelsea, Hasselbaink is the CFC fan favorite by far. Perhaps Costa will catch him in time. It was a huge mistake when Chelsea let him go in favor of Mutu and Crespo. I was always surprised he couldn't really catch on with the Dutch national team in the late 90s, early 00s.
This is dumb and will create even more lopsided group draws than they already have.
