Also, I respect that I may be in the minority in this thread, but I found it more difficult to just find MLS games this year. We get MSG so I tend to watch a lot of Red Bulls games, but I just found it hard to really connect and watch a lot of games from other teams. I saw maybe a handful of TFC games this entire season, which sucks because they're actually good for once. I suppose I should start subscribing to the Soccer America email list. It was just easier to stumble onto a game when I'd turn on a TV and check ESPN2 or NBCSN or even Fox Soccer and there'd just happen to be a game on. And a lot of the ESPN2 games this year tend to be late starts, 10:30 PM ET or something. I feel like I have to seek out MLS more than years ago, which is odd because the game only seems to be growing.
This post is ironic since MLS and the broadcasters killed themselves to be consistent this year with the new TV deal
This is the first year of the new TV deal and they had very consistent time slots. So if you were looking for random games on a Saturday nationally, you would never find them.
Unimas/UDN showed a game every Friday night
ESPN/ESPN2 showed a game every Sunday at 5:00pm
FS1 showed a game every Sunday at 7:30pm
It was a doubleheader every Sunday for almost the entire season.
ESPN would also show an odd Wednesday night game but that was in the vast minority.
