The 2004-5 team was stacked. Roster looked like this:

F: Benzema

F: Wiltord

F: Govou

M: Malouda
M: Juninho
M: Mahamadou Diarra
M: Essien
M: Ben Arfa
D: Abidal
D: Réveillère
G: Coupet

Neymar is playing on another level right now, I can't wait for the eventual Bayern/barca match up. Suarezito with another one touch high flying goal.

Literally can't stop scoring. What a great story. I hope he sticks around a bit. I'd hate to see him end up on a big club's bench.

Ronaldo leaving Madrid rumors won't go away. Let's humor them for a minute. What will Madrid do with all that cash on top of the 100mil they were going to spend in the next window anyway? Hazard? Would City even think about selling Aguero?

Hazaard and coutinho imo

I keep hearing Lewandowski. They lose Ronaldo, and they'll have to replace goals. Hazard, even at his best, doesn't give you 20 goals. They might still buy Hazard, but he wouldn't be the only one.

I love that Vardy was still playing in the 5th division in England when he was 24 years old and in the 6th division when he was 23.

Incredible late career rise.

To put this into a different perspective, when he was 23, there were approximately 2900 players in England playing at a higher level.

That is mindboggling.

LvG made the Dutch boring and now United. If he took over Barca tomorrow how long would it take for me to put Barca replays on to help my Sunday afternoon naps?

This makes more sense - they could be replacing Benzema as well

Anyone want total a crack at what they would do for the attacking part of the England side if they put a lineup out tomorrow? Kane and Rooney are musts to me. Rest, and where you put everyone is what I'm curious about.

ETA: Assume everyone is healthy. (#Welbz)

It's someone to buy alright. But is he really Ronaldo replacement worthy? I guess no one is, but, is Lewi even close enough? And I like him... I guess I'm not sure if anyone is...

Saw a cool mashup here of Neymar plays - all HQ and pretty much no goals - just his passing and footwork. (It starts repeating about halfway through). He's only 23. Good lord.

Mauricio Pochettino: 'You got the feeling that Chelsea were a small team, and Tottenham can win every game we play.'

Epl race looking tight right now. La liga, less tight and as usual in order to have a shot at the title there, you simply can't drop points to mid level teams. We're unlikely to see another 100+ point, but 90+ is probable.

Atlético needs to start scoring, and get goals from someone not named Griezmann. I thought Jackson would be that guy, but he's looked like a poor piece of business thus far, and El Nino needs to break his drought and get his 100th colchonero goal asap. Maybe against Benfica to take the top spot in the CL group.

Anyone check out the Crystal Palace show on NBCSN? Their recent club history seems eerily similar to Swansea's, and now with the owner of my beloved NJ Devils getting involved I may have a new side to pull for.

I read a fun factoid yesterday on Reddit.

Jamie Vardy is the only player in history to score against Manchester United and FC United of Manchester in league play.

A couple of other guys have done it through the cups.
