it's the exact same thing

Posting it this way is just a way for United fans to hang on to the past and make them feel better about their #### club right now

Interesting take (and probably partially correct although i didn't really think of that).  Or it could be to point out Blackburn and Leicester have more EPL titles then some other teams?

And didnt want to list all teams with top flight titles, too many and too lazy....

Yes, they count "First Division" titles.  Which is why Manchester United has won 20 First Division titles.  13 in the Premiere League era and 7 before the Premiere League era.

Leicester is the first first-time First Division title winner in England since Nottingham Forest in 1978.
First new champion in 38 years? Wow that's crazy.

wait a minute, there's a team called Nottingham Forest?  Ok, that is definitely the club that I am rooting for.

Brian Clough, Trevor Francis, Peter Shilton, Martin O'Neill, Viv Anderson (the first black player to play for England), John Robertson and Archie Gemmill. Fantastic team in the late 70s and early 80s. Won the First Division, Charity Shield, back to back League Cups, back to back European Cups, and a UEFA Super Cup in a three year stretch.

Wow.

just watched the game.... What a goal by hazard. Spurs a little um, chippy there. I love seeing hot blooded derbies, but they went a bit far, which is saying something playing against Costa

Between this and yesterday's MU game, what an entertaining way to wrap things up.
Pee Wee league is wrapped up. Varsity title is still on the line with Barça and Atletí tied and Real 1 back.

Did a British dude serve you a beer at Ocelot? He's from Nottingham. Huge Forrest fan.

According to SomeGuyonTwitter, when Nottingham Forest play Aston Villa in the Championship next season, it will be the first time in any league that two former European Champions will meet in a second division game.

so wtf happened to Hazard this year?

that sub appearance last night was like a flashback to how he played all year last season. just took over and did whatever the hell he wanted to. was it Jose? winning the award took away the edge? chelsea fans with any insight? such an amazing player and so strange to look up last night and find myself disappointed that they were taking Pedro off and replaced by... I coudln't figure it out until I heard his name. totally forgot he was even on the team.

So awesome...

the wily fox of a nomadic manager that he is, Ranieri apparently also negotiated a 5 million pound bonus for himself, or about $7.4 million, in the event that he helped Leicester to be Premier League champion.

I've no real insight on Hazard, but have watched most all of his club games the past several years. He was terrible all season and by far the main cause of the team's poor results. Some will talk of an injury or other excuses. They say form is temporary, but this player was in very poor form all season long, after being PoY and carrying the team to a title last season. My personal feeling, unfair as it is for me to judge the man, is that he is an extremely skilled but immature player, not a leader, never will be.

I think he was sick of getting kicked in England.  Simple as that.

Yes they were, but also Chelsea went full Chelsea with the whining and crying.  Watching the highlights last night, even Fabregas got in on it as he reached out and hit his hand on the Tottenham player's leg and then went frantically running to every ref claiming he got stepped on.  Costa grappling and then charges the ref for getting his shirt pulled, grabbing the wrong eye after getting poked....

Both teams looked full Fellaini last night (Anyone else love that LVG pronounces his name as Felony?)

oh- Chelsea were chelsea alright. no denying that- Costa at his most dastardly evil comicbook villain. some other guys went after it in strange ways too- even Ivanovic had a bug up his butt with some shocking challenges. but shame on Spurs really for falling for it, especially after playing so well and hard for 45 minutes- they did everything they needed to do to prolong their season, and then just lost it. but Hazard was amazing, so nothing for them to do there... other than kick him.

lol abuot the Cesc thing. or didn't you see lamella intentionally step on his hand?

I don't know what you mean by "falling for it" - it was game on for these guys from the first minute. (MOTD compilation --> https://streamable.com/7b9b) Dier went through the back on a couple corners early and easily could have been gone by halftime. Walker as well. I love it actually - always enjoy these intense physical games. I've got no interest in saying one club or another is "scum" or lacks class some such crap. Honestly, the fans and media make much more of this than any of the players do, as is evident in the postgame comments. Nothing like a derby.

falling for it- as in, they anticipated the bs chelsea was going to throw at them and preemptively hit the ICBM button. I agree that Spurs were the bigger offender for most of the night and were extremely lucky to have been playing with 11. but they also played very well for the first 45, in spite of the argy-bargy... but then seemed to get even more carried away with nonsense and lost the plot in the second... so falling for it in that respect as well.

but I also said originally, I love a hot-blooded derby... just seemed to go to 11 awfully fast, this one. and certainly didn't call anybody scum, as far as I can remember. except for gator. and bentley. and charv. and sinn. and ...

lol - you know there's actual video of this stuff these days so you can't just make #### up after the fact? Of course Fabregas milked it, but your description is plain stupid. https://streamable.com/xk6d
Dude, cmon, dont need to be an #### about it.  Wasnt making anything up.  I missed the hand step and only saw him swing his right hand then go crying to everyone.

Missed the step.  My bad.  Like I said I just saw the highlights and it wasnt as close an angle as Cletius' video and they didnt show the front side view.  Oops. I was wrong.

I agree with the rest.  Spurs, if they really want to be title contenders next season, need to be able to stay away from the bait and put a team away when up 2-0.  Had their chances and self destructed.

agreed on both your comments

Here we go!
Bayern: Neuer, Ribery, Martinez, Lewandowski, Costa, Alonso, Boateng, Lahm, Vidal, Müller, Alaba

Atletico: Oblak, Godin, Filipe, Koke, Griezmann, Torres, Fernandez, Gabi, Niguez, Juanfran, Gimenez

Pretty weird. Cesc seemed to have mind up his mind to swing at Lamela's leg before he got stepped on. Swung to fast after the step for it to be a retaliation.

@Sebowski

Meanwhile, Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has indicated that he is ready to stay at the club by saying: “I’m still a Chelsea player. I’ll start pre-season with Chelsea and next season we’ll go for the title with the new coach (Antonio Conte).

“The Champions League is not on our program. Hopefully that works out in our favour because we will have more time to prepare for the League games.”

:lmao:

Oblak would have saved that free kick if it hadn't been deflected.

TheThat's the breaks though. Atleti not playing well enough to warrant a draw right now anyway. Sluggish and no real way to break out of their shell.

I really don't want Atleti to try and get this to penalties. They need to get more out of their midfield and fullbacks. I know Ribery is dangerous, but the left side has to open up for Felipe in order to get something going.  I like the change to Carrasco here. He's more of an outlet.

Oh, and I won't be able to watch the second half unless things break my way in this meeting. Maybe I should hope for it being level through 90...

was lying there, lamela steps on his hand... with his cleats... cesc immediately reacts. exactly what I'd do if somebody stepped on my hand with cleats. I remember a college game where I was marking a kid on set piece- kid stapled my feet intentionally a couple of times trying to get some room, so I stamped his calf with my studs. #### that noise. break a guy's hand or foot stepping down on it like that.

Oh that would be brutal.  Until Bayern gets 2 more I won't feel comfortable.
