Also, I'm surprised that people didn't like this week's episode.  Both Mr. krista and I deemed it the best one since "I broke my boy" in the first season.  Diff'rent strokes, I guess.

As I was watching it, I thought, "This is Better Call Saul's version of 'The Fly'," which, is the lowest-ranked episode of Breaking Bad according to imdb.
yep, that was my feelings and what I posted.. 1st half was very good.. 2nd half was "The Fly" tedious.

I really like Kim. She's smart, works hard, but  makes her share of mistakes, which is very believable coming from her background.

That probably was the best episode of the entire series.  Unreal.

Mike looks old.  Kim looked hot.

I am glad they focused on the story of how jimmy got back and how lalo was suspicious.  Glossing over it would have been cheap.

Man, that last scene. Scene of the series so far.
Agreed..... The whole episode, IMO, was the best of the Series..

This episode was the first time, for me, that it had the "Breaking Bad" vibe and has me in the "I can't wait for the next episode" group. :excited:

I know I can't be the only one watching that last scene that was thinking "Well, now we know what happens to Kim".. :oldunsure:

Thought for sure Lalo would shoot Kim and then Mike would shoot Lalo.. Or that Mike would go to take a shot at Lalo and take out Kim.

Nah man, mike shooting Lalo like that is too cheap for this show.  When lalo goes its going to be in a gus chess move not some sniper shot

Amazing final scene. So good.

I was thinking Mike may fire and miss, which really would have set things off.

I’m going to make a bold prediction (and most likely wrong) - Mike is going to take out Kim.  No half measures.
I don’t see that happening. In Breaking Bad, although they weren’t best friends, Mike and Saul has a business relationship. If Mike killed Kim there is no way that would be possible.

Agreed. Remember that the first time we see Mike in BB (when he came to clean Jessie's place after Jane OD'd), he was working for Saul, not the other way around, and I doubt Saul would keep Mike as his cleaner and PI if he killed Kim.

I was mainly talking about Kim getting taken out.. Either she is going to end up in Witness protection, or dead.. just thought while watching that scene we were about to get an answer.. :oldunsure:

Saul doesn’t have to know - Gus could make it look like Lalo or the Salamanca’s to make Saul do what they want.  I’m sure I’ll be wrong but it’s a fun prediction to make.

I like how each of the last 3 episodes was my favorite episode of the series after it aired... I am excited for next week.

That Lalo leap onto the car was epic.
Haha yeah I thought so too. I think I literally exclaimed, "holy ####!"

Fits his character though. I really liked the end where he knows that he's right that Saul isn't giving the whole story, but was able to see that Kim was right in her argument.

I could see it being the head cartel guy taking out Lalo and letting Gus have the monopoly because he recognizes Gus is the better businessman.

We know from BB that Hector is basically living in squalor and Tuco is running amok. Sounds like the cartel may have #### all over the Salemocca (sp?) and their concept of family. I could see them maybe either getting help from Gus or framing Gus - which would explain Hector's hatred for Gus in BB.

Lalo isn't getting killed, unless I am mis-remembering the scene in BB where he sprays sniper fire all over, but pointedly misses Gus.

He explicitly told Saul that he put her in the game by telling her about the pickup/Lalo.
Oh yeah. Just seems like it's not something Mike would. However, maybe that'll be his Breaking Bad moment (although I still think that was killing his builder friend).

I thought about that but while Mike is a character that people like, he's a cold stone killer.  He has no qualms about killing people and he doesn't currently have any real personal connection to Saul and definitely not Kim.  Remember, he's loyal to folks who are loyal to him but he doesn't think twice about killing someone who puts the operation in danger.  He would have killed Walt and early on wanted to kill Jesse.  If Kim decides things are too dangerous and wants to go to the cops or is about to spill the beans Mike won't think twice about taking her out.  And it could be his does it on Gus' direction.

But the big boss doesnt seem to care about lalo in jail
Yeah but at least in the short term Lalo was able to continue to run things locally from the jail. I'm assuming Gus thinks he's less of a problem to him in Mexico than the local county jail.

I think that's right, but the logic gap for me is that Lalo is equally able to pull strings from Mexico as he can from jail - maybe more easily as well.

lalo can't be touched in the states.  points at fring.  he wants him in mexico, where if something bad happens, fring isn't the #1 suspect.  and 7 mil is a hefty loss.  what did fring lose in those dead drops? plus the chicken shack
