***Official "Space Blanket" for Better Call Saul*** (2 Viewers)

I don't follow this thread too closely or outside articles and such - has it always been assumed that Gus would play a big part at some point?  I remember some rumblings at one point that he would be making an appearance but with the way things are progressing it seems like he may have a huge role and that would be pretty awesome, IMO.

He is the young guy with the glasses that we saw confront Jim about trespassing while using the copier store to film a commercial.

Chuck doesn't know she knows... And she doesn't know he knows. But once they both do... Should have worded differently... Maybe Chuck tries to use it to bust them up
I can see this playing out.  Chuck knows that breaking up with Kim will cause Jimmy more pain than getting him disbarred.  If Kim finds out it's recorded, then she has no other play than to break up with Jimmy b/c it would destroy her practice and reputation being associated with him.

This would be enough to change Jimmy into Saul

Just because he house sits or visits often, doesn't mean the law doesn't apply.  He still can't steal Chuck's property and the law would ignore that because he was taking care of a sick man.
do you realize how hard that would be to make that stick? sure he could accuse him ..and maybe the cops even pick him up...but he would never be convicted...there would have to be a history of that behavor and maybe if jimmy was a drug addict it might stick...but what did he steal? a cassette ? left all the valuables ?

for that scene with the military guy, my thought is that they used the scene to show how Jimmy is further sliding down the dark side. Jimmy from season one would have said, "okay, I'll take down the commercial. anything to save my reputation." Jimmy from season three says, "yeah, so what? try me."

I liked that scene.  Come at me bro

I love the dynamic between a jimmy and Chuck in that Chuck follows the rules, but he's resentful, devious, deceptive #####.  Jimmy has a good heart, but is constantly breaking the rules and causing problems.  Interesting perspectives on the nature of evil...

It will be interesting to see what Ernesto does. Last season, he knew Jimmy was at the copy store, even though the clerk was paid off and denied he was there. As people, Ernesto likes Jimmy more than he does Chuck.

FFS

There were FOUR trackers.

#1 One in the station wagon.  We can assume he left it in the junk yard so as not to let Gus's men (if we're assuming that's who is following him) know that he found it.

#2  One in his sedan which he finds when he gets home.  This is the one he gets the serial # off of.  He drains the battery on #2 so that Gus's men come back.  He throws #2 in the trash.

#3 One that he buys from Dr. Caldera.  This one he puts in his sedan so that Gus's men will take it thinking it is #2.

#4 The new one Gus's men put on the sedan when they come back at night.  Mike watches them domthis while he eats delicious, Central California-grown pistachios. Mike takes this out and puts it in his flowerbed when leaves to follow Gus's men.
I just watched the episode a few minutes ago.

At one point, Mike leaves work at the parking lot and they show him putting his gas cap on top of a cement structure.  Which one was that?  Was that #2 that we assume he comes back to get at a later time (I don't think they ever show that)

#2 so they think he's sitting at work while he goes and buys #3.

Correct.  I think he is setting him up for bulgary or theft.  Once Jimmy knows a tape exists, he will need to break into Chuck's house to get it.

Felony on his record, he is hoping he is disbarred.  Evil thing to do, but Jimmy made his bed on this one, Chuck is not one to trust and Jimmy does trust him.
when im wrong i say im wrong...you sir called it correctly...i am humbled...nice job
