Looks like too much spending on TE and QB. Looks like you paid for two studs when only one can start. You are smart to have lots of quantity at WR and RB, but I would cut your budget a bit at TE and QB and get at least one top stud RB and WR.

I keep going back and forth between 2-3 QBs. Right now I have two, but I'm feeling that may be way too risky, especially with who I picked. Will probably go back and change that for the 200999th time. It's just that I had three last year, never used one and would have done better if I spent that money on a RB which I had selected at one point.

While this look good on paper, it will probably get bounced during the Pats bye week due to lack of depth at the QB and WR positions. In a contest like this, putting all of your eggs in one basket is never adviseable!

I won't argue QB, but going stud TE's is a fine strategy. TE is a possible Flex, and at 1.5/rec, the top TE's could make a solid impact on a team.

Excellent idea on the variable roster size. It will be interesting once it locks in to find out the stats on 20-24 roster sizes.
A counter on amount of submissions would be funny too...

up to 4am when I should getting sleep as I just basically took my old team, ripped it up and started over. Went with a different approach that'll probably end up similar to everyone else at the end of the day 
but I think I'm pretty happy with everything save possibly my WR situation. I did good last year so I have to take a look at what I did to see how far afield I've gone.-QG

No stuff, you swear im working on a term paper over here. I got 4 sheets out with different types of stragedys and 2 sheets balled up. I still think i need to make room for a 3rd qb though. But im loving this new team. I go too conservative with last one, Hell i would have to get lucky to winwith that one although i would have had injuries and byes covered. My new team has 4 SUPERSTUDS on it...if i get kicked out with them i will be ok.

I'm as content with my WRs as possible I think. Last year I felt better but when you could buy CJ3 and Slaton for pennies, it made buying WRs easier. I essentially have 2 proven studs, one older vet, and 4 guys I see as having potential. Could be better I guess, but it will do.I never win at this and am usually out by week 5. You need a 3rd QB. If you have 2 QBs, and one is injured.... when the healthy QB is on your bye week , your team is at a huge disadvantage. Same thing with 3 kickers IMO

I can see that, but I can also think of three ways he loses his job (injury, performance, desire to get Freeman reps). And really, if you are down to your 3rd QB, you got troubles. I see the strategy, but I'd rather have a 3rd D, or even kicker. more likely for them to make your lineup.

I have never carried 3 Ds. They can't get injured. QBs and TEs can. Even kickers can. I've always gone with 2 D, 2 PK, 3 TE, 3 QB and then whatever combination of WRs and RBs made the most sense. Typically carry more WRs than RBs.

Carrying three QBs guarantees that you always have at least a starter. But $4 buys you a pretty swanky D, or JerMichael Finley, and another K. You give me Finley and a 3rd kicker, and I bet they make my starting lineup more than Leftwich. And really, is Leftwich a great 3rd QB. I'd like to think my saefty net QB is safer than that.
Hell, i went all in and used Kurt Warner as my stud QB last year. Only spent $11 last year at QB position and scored like most who spent $50.

Don't think you'll get far spending $11 at QB this year.
Not this year. I think I might go with Rivers at $25 this year. Thought about maybe Ryan @ $19, but don't have enough confidence he can get into the 25+ TD range.

My initial plan was to go with Carson Palmer as my main QB. That is until his ankle and offensive line scared the bajeebus out of me. Approximately 1500 iterations later and my current roster is nothing even remotely similar to the original. Time to fit in another 400 combinations before the deadline.

Here's what I've got right now. Probably be the final, but, like everyone else, I'm double thinking way too much.
24 players. Can't picture going less with best ball giving extra scoring opportunities.
QB -2 for $45 - A little more than I want to spend, but I like the QBs. And with those QBs, I don't think the injury protection of Leftwich is worth the $4 and the roster spot.
RB - 6 for $90 - 1 Stud, not handcuffed. 1 upper mid range, 2 lower midrange sleepers. This is the position I've fiddled the most with, and I'm still not completely happy
WR - 8 for $88 - 1 Stud, 1 midrange, and a lot of lower tier guys. The cost of the midrange guys really makes WRs a challenge
TE - 3 for $19 - 1.5/rec can get the two lower level guys into flex scoring real easy, which is why 3.
PK - 2 for $3 - Really dislike almost all the $1 guys, so spent an extras $1. Third K might score a couple of times, but not enough extra points to justify a 3rd.
