I ended up rolling with Rodgers, Grant AND Jennings even with their week 5 BYE. Since week 5 is such a tough week for BYE's, I'm just hoping that the rest of my guys score well enough to get me through that cut. Then I'm solid for my RB1 and RB2 for the rest of the contest as both of them have early BYE's.
QB - Aaron Rodgers - 27
QB - Shaun Hill - 11
Not much needs to be said here. Probably one of the more popular QB combos in the contest.
RB - DeAngelo Williams - 37
RB - Ryan Grant - 24
RB - Leon Washington - 12
RB - Ahmad Bradshaw - 8
RB - Michael Bush - 6
RB - Edgerrin James - 1
Another popular duo. I LOVE Williams and Grant this season. Washington and Bradshaw should be seeing 10-15 touches a game and are a threat to score anytime. Plus, Bradshaw could be huge of Jacobs gets dinged up, which he usually does. I've good a good feeling about Mike Bush. I can see him getting 200+ touches even with McFadden healthy. In OAK, albeit in a less explosive offence, I can see McFadden and Mike Bush splitting things like Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush in NO, with McFadden being moved around a lot and Bush capitalizing on the D keying on McFadden. Not to say McFadden won't get his, but the one thing that really impresses me in OAK is their run-blocking, so to minimize their D's time on the field I think they're going to try to run it 500+ times this season, whether they're in the game or not. Edge, well, he's $1 and may get more work in the 2nd half of the season as Julius Jones does his yearly regression. Worst-case he can be their GL back.
WR - Greg Jennings - 32
WR - Anquan Boldin - 31
WR - Chris Henry - 12
WR - Derrick Mason - 9
WR - Nate Burleson - 5
WR - Percy Harvin - 5
WR - Chaz Schilens - 3
WR - Laurent Robinson - 2
The Jennings and Rodgers hook-up will probably make or break me. If they don't get into the endzone, it's likely Grant does, so I feel somewhat covered off in that regard. My fear for Boldin is that he gets dinged up again. When healthy, he's got ridiculous numbers, so I just pray he stays healthy. I almost put Steve Smith (NYG) in, over Henry, just to make my WR's a little different from the crowd, but couldn't bring myself to do it. If anything Steve Smith loses touches to Nicks while I think Henry could eclipse Coles as the WR2 in Cincy. Between Henry and DMason, I should have solid WR3 production. Mason will get me consistent points and Henry can blow up. Harvin's there for explosiveness and Burleson I think will surprise many this season. Schilens and Robinson are both popular picks, but as potential high-target guys on teams that will have to throw a lot, I like them for a combined $5
TE - Greg Olsen - 15
TE - Todd Heap - 5
I always go cheap at TE and with 1.5 PPR, I went with a more expensive guy who could finish in the top 3, and a vet who looks to have an increased role now that he's healthy.
PK - Robbie Gould - 2
PK - Steve Hauschka - 1
Both these offences have consistently produced good PK numbers, so I just hope it continues.
TD - Cincinnati Bengals - 1
TD - St. Louis Rams - 1
With the injection of young talent on both these teams, I hope to see an increase in sacks and turnovers. This contest doesn't penalize D's for getting lit up, so I just rolled with upside.
