Does anyone who has Meachem in the contest see the points for the TD using that FantasyStar site?I would imagine the scoring defaulted to the DEF/ST and Meachem didn't get credit for the TD, but I certainly could be wrong with that assumption.
Per Fantasy STar NO d/st (8pts). Meech (28.2pts)
Wow. So, yeah, whether Meachem gets credit for the TD or not will have an impact on many teams hovering around the cut line.As posted in the other thread, CBS definitely has it as a Defensive TD.

How is Meachem's fumble return TD being scored? When it happened, I took a look at the rules and assumed it would be a TD for the Saints D/ST.The email Joe Bryant just sent out seems at odds with the contest rules though. It seems weird to have Joe say the play should be scored one way but have his official contest score it a different way.
As I posted in the pinned thread, I vote for a replay of the final 500 teams.A do-over, if you will.
:goodposting: (unless flaco and mason score all the points tonight and I survive to the finals!)

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been by a computer much this weekend... I just looked up the stats on nfl.com and cbssports.com (TFS stats are pulled from cbs) and looks like Meach is correct for 28.2 points (8 for 142 and 1TD) and the other TD is showing up as a fumble return... Not sure on the D as I didn't have the rules in front of me to add it up.. We'll adjust it based on how Joe says he will score it to reflect on TFS correctly though.

As a few people already pointed out, there really isnt any way Meachem can be credited with the fumble return TD. The contest rules are pretty clear about that.

Actually, TFS scoring is not crediting the defense because I manually overrode it. I verify the scoring through my own means and I just replicate what that feed does (it is 99.9% accurate to FBG, as opposed to TFS native scoring which is only about 95% accurate...no data on that but you get the point). Obviously our scoring is NOT official, so we're just making our best estimate. With what I know today, if I had to guess I'd say that FBG will score it on the DEF side, since I remember something from the last go around on this (the incident Joe refers to in his email) that the NFL considers any changed possession fumble recovery a "defensive" play. I agree that this can't count as a Meachem TD, as it's not a run or a pass. Since "ALL" TD's will count, I think that means that the D/ST picks up the goofy scores. Just my opinion, not any official ruling or insight from FBG...

:) Here's to blowing past 180 a week after I missed the cut by 2 points. Sadly, I checked out random shots this week and had the Rodgers pass to Driver not been killed at the 2 and went for a TD, I'd be dancing in the finals again.

Would have caught a huge break this week too since my RB's have a total of 1.9 pts between all 5 of them...really would have helped the UQ of the team.

I'm sitting here with Rodgers, Jennings, Grant and the GB D. In other words, with no chance. It's been a good ride, though, and my heart jumped on that long play where Jennings drew the flag. That was a sure TD and might have made it interesting.

I was really hoping that Rogers would blow chunks tonight - I did not need him to score for me but I was hoping to lose some Rodgers owners. Oh well, pushing 200 and climbing

Rodgers only second to Harvin as most popular players in the finals. Both on over 180 teams if we don't move too much more from here...

Should be just enough for me. (166,35 points)

Thanks to TODD HEAP! Never thought I would say that this year. :lmao:

Not much bunching at the cut. I get 164.25 as my number, but with stat corrections it could realistically be anywhere from 163.0-165. PLEASE NOTE: this also assumes the Meachem TD scores as a NO DEF score. I did a check to see what happens if I drop the score from the NO def and believe it or not, it doesn't really move things much, it's actually still in the range I stated. It would change things for a few teams though.

163.25 is the projected cutoff, per the Fantasy Star Guys
Now it is 164,25... :football:
Sorry about that first one...that was a typo. see my post above for my disclaimers for those of you near the line.TFS Is represented in the finals, OC made it with flying colors. Can't say the same for FBG Staffers, Hicks got crushed this week. TFS almost went 2/2 in the contest, FBG went 0-fer!

174 and change here... can't believe I made the top 250! I don't think I'm unique enough to win it all, but I'm happy to get this far.

And FINALLY the :lmao: theoretical entry that I didn't use dies. This was the lineup I chose NOT to use. Was starting to think I was going to watch this thing go all the way and NOT win be the big prize :) Still would've way longer than my actual entry - oh that's right my actual entry got knocked out week one! :bag:

Knocked out in Week 13, ouch.

Team tandem RB's of Arizona and Buffalo (and Ray Rice) worked pretty good up until this week.

Good luck to everyone going forward!

Well, it was a decent run while it lasted.

Disappointed by poor performances from Clark, Grant, Maroney and McCoy. Meh.

371 out of 12,000 or so entries is nothing to be ashamed of. Plus, I finished ahead of Andy Hicks! That's all I cared about. Finishing above Hicks...

Great Way to End the Season - #6 - High Score of the Year for my team (to date!)

My team is not that unique, and I was hoping for Rodgers to lay an egg, but it is what it is.

On to the playoffs

Congrats to those advancing you rotten %!#@s.

ADP and Ryan Grant scored me a whopping 13 points this week and that was all she wrote.

I have to say this has been the most fun I've had in FF in a long time. Thanks to footballguys.com for the contest, thanks to the guys at thefantasystar.com for making it nice and cheap for me to obsess over the stats, and thanks to The Fanatic for letting me get farther than him.

Missed the cut by 5 points

Oh well, pretty good for the first try. Next year I know not to waste money on RBs with injury histories (R.Brown, Parker).

I keep saying I can't believe how far I've gone but I'll say it again after finishing 21st this week. I just wish I had an RB besides Kevin Smith and a hurt Michael Turner.

Team 110329

Missed the cut by 5 points :( Oh well, pretty good for the first try. Next year I know not to waste money on RBs with injury histories (R.Brown, Parker).
You mean like DW and Leon Washington?
DW and Leon both outperformed R.Brown and Parker by leaps and bounds, so... yeah, I would have been happier with them.
But not when it matter. And neither of them had injury histories.
I'm sorry DW and Leon got hurt, but it has nothing to do with my premise. There were reasons to think R.Brown and Parker would not last the whole year and I ignored them. I thought they were good buys at their price, but obviously their prices reflected a slightly higher risk factor. Next year I will pay a premium for the guys I deem more likely to finish the season. That is all.

Just checking in to see if FBG decided to reset last week's scores due to the whole Meachem issue.

No?

Anyone?

Anyone...

Surprised my team made it this far. Would be really cool to be at least in the hunt for some big $$$ come week 16.

QB - Aaron Rodgers - 27

QB - Carson Palmer - 21

RB - Adrian Peterson - 50

RB - Leon Washington - 12

RB - Ahmad Bradshaw - 8

RB - Jamaal Charles - 7

RB - Ladell Betts - 2

WR - Greg Jennings - 32

WR - Chad Ochocinco - 27

WR - Vincent Jackson - 21

WR - Hakeem Nicks - 4

WR - Patrick Crayton - 4

WR - Robert Meachem - 3

TE - Greg Olsen - 15

TE - Jermichael Finley - 3

TE - Chris Baker - 1

PK - Ryan Longwell - 3

PK - Robbie Gould - 2

TD - San Diego Chargers - 5

TD - Green Bay Packers - 3

Having only 3 healthy RBs isn't good, but I imagine I have a shot IF:

1. Adrian Peterson decides to become... well... Adrian Peterson. I can't imagine too many of the remaining teams have him.

2. Vincent Jackson turns back the clock around a month and starts performing again.

3. Greg Olsen puts up a few weeks that are worthy of being counted.

4. Ray Rice has 2 or 3 weeks like last week. I imagine he's really high percentage in this thing.

Just checking in to see if FBG decided to reset last week's scores due to the whole Meachem issue.No?Anyone?Anyone...
Is this a serious post?ETA: Im genuinely asking as I cant tell if its a real question or not.
No, Mo is just crying over spilled milk. Of all the weeks to lose, week 13 has to be the hardest
Correct.Effing Grant, Maroney, MCoy, Dallas/Minn defs. If they have a half-way decent week, I'm sitting in the final 250.Not a serious post, BTW.
