***Official Survivor S29: San Juan Del Sur*** (1 Viewer)

Nat is playing great and deserves to win, though I'm still pulling for Keith to win. Good move to spread the vote 2x2x2. If Jon plays the idol for either him or Jacq, still a tie and revote for the remaining one and Keith, and the idol is burned. Smart.

Nat looks better with the lost weight.. but her best look is when they show her in night vision, like after they return from the vote and discuss what happened. The night vision contrast makes her look attractive... but then someone turns on the sun and she turns back into a frog.

After having hated the Twinnies on both Amazing Race appearances, Natalie has really turned me around. And she is actually...looking...attractive.

Never thought I'd say that.

I wonder if Missy and Baylor will figure out their only hope at winning is to go to the finals with Jaclyn. Since Baylor convinced her mom to cut ties with Jon, Missy should try to convince Baylor to cut ties with Natalie.

Nobody should want to take Keith to the finals as the Jury has five people from his old alliance. You never know how loyal people will be.

It is Natalie's to lose.

Jaclyn is so much smarter than Jon. Or Jon is just very gullible. I can't believe Natalie convinced anyone that she voted for Reed by mistake. Great move.

The only person I am remotely hoping for is Keith.
This.

Do people really think Natalie is playing a great game? I think she just happens to be the one-eyed-man in the land of the blind. It's easy to look like a great player when no one else is playing. This was as bad a final 6 as I can remember. Jac may be the only other one with functioning brain cells numbering in the double-digits, but she kept getting swayed by moron Jon so that now she really has no play left.

I'm surprised that Nathalie has thought this far in advance. She's proving to be a better player than I ever thought.

And whoever said it - only chance Jac or Missy or Bailey have at the $$ is to form a group of 3. None of them have any chance against Nat or the Spitting Hick

Natalie is only one vote. She can't make moves without help. We are seeing the game from her point of view cause she is the likely winner, but she isn't the only one playing.

Who else is playing a strategic game? Missy? No clue what was going on until the last minute and she had to be drug along kicking and screaming. Keith? Uh.... no. Jaclyn? Started to sniff Nat out a few times but got dissuaded by Jon, who has been wrong about EVERYTHING every step of the way? Baylor. She's nothing more than Natalie's sidekick and has zero chance of beating her at tribal. Natalie is set up great, but that has as much to do with her competition as anything. She's a marginal player playing with terrible players, so it's easier to look good.

I just don't know why at this point in the game Jon didn't take out the idol and secretly put it on the bench between him and Jac, so IF one of them got taken out, they could leave it for the other one.

As awful as the twinnies were on the Amazing Race, they're not as bad split up. But they are indistinguishable from one another... So it'd be hilarious if one identical twin got booted first, and the other won the whole thing.
I told my wife last night that I always preferred Natalie of the two when they were on Amazing Race. She agreed that Natalie was better because the other one was more hot-headed. I had to explain to her that I was being sarcastic and I could not distiguish one from the other in any way.

:lmao:

I think the next vote needs to go aginst Missy. With the broken ankle, she gets all the sympathy votes if she goes to the Final 3. Then vote out Jac leaving a Nat, Baylor, Wes F3.

Natalie is basically the Indian Parvarti, super

sexy and a great game player
Indian?
Pakistani?
Sri Lankan
So I was right the first time as isn't Sri Lanka inhabited by the Indian people? I know there are natives to the Island but I believe that is a very small percentage of the overall population.
Do you mean this in the same way that one might refuse to call anybody but Native Americans "American?"

From her Twitter: "Born in NYC. Raised in Sri Lanka. Living in NJ." Do with it what you will.

If Jac can calm down and be rational, then Natalie should use her and Keith to vote out Baylor or Missy. Probably Baylor, seeing as she's not hobbled. No more power blocks of two at that point and she can probably control Keith. Sets her up pretty well.
Why put either Baylor or Missy on the jury and give the other a pretty much automatic vote if you're confident you can beat them both, as Natalie has already said she is? And Keith and Jac already have loved ones on the jury. I think Natalie's plan to go to the final 3 with Baylor and Missy is almost a sure win if she can make that work. Hopefully Jaclyn or Keith win the final immunity challenge and make it to the final 3 to at least make it interesting.

Or why didn't he slip it to her before he stood up to leave TC. Once they went to the tie breaker vote, he should have pulled it out and did what you said so one of them would have it when the other left. Maybe there is a rule saying he can't do that or something?

I am almost sure there is a rule against this. If the idol is yours and you haven't given it to someone else before the votes are read, and you are voted off, it is worthless.

Has to be some sort of rule against this. Otherwise just bury it in the jungle and whoever comes back to camp knows where it is, guaranteeing one of the two loved ones gets to use it.

makes it tough to play at tribal if it is buried back at camp

Thinking they mean leave behind for the survivor so at least they can use it at the next TC if needed..

As some have said there must be a rule against it as it never happens.

Jac seems pretty #####y, but not sure why she is with Jon (if she still is...). He yells at her for giving Nat credit for helping him (when he wasn't going to play the idol the first time), have the blow up at the beach, he doesn't listen to her when she points out that he might have to use his idol this week...Don't think he's the sharpest tool in the shed...

Someone on another board pointed out how awesome it was that every time we ever saw Jon strategizing, he was completely wrong about everything.

There's a great moment in Jon's Ponderosa video, early on, when he first comes in, and he starts explaining to Alec how Natalie screwed up the vote and that he was voted out by accident. Alec has to explain to Jon that it was totally on purpose so Jon wouldn't have Alec around and they could execute that night's 2-2-2 plan. Jon then gets this full-body hit of complete realization that's totally worth watching.
"Alec has to explain to Jon" 'nuff said right there. I will give Natalie props on her read on Jon. Everything she has done has hinged on him being a completely oblivious moron. And damn if it hasn't worked out just that way.

One thing they tell Jon is "Missy got Natalie to change her vote!" They still don't get that Natalie is running the whole thing. Maybe Missy has a better chance than I thought, though I can't picture Reed/Josh every voting for Missy, and Jeremy would presumably vote for Natalie.

Well she's got a 10 cent brain herself, so I'm guessing they are gonna reproduce.

They can't!! :D

I don't really see anyone as a massive threat right now. Keith is probably the person you least want to sit at final tribal with, just to guard against a bitter jury. But even then, its not like he's loveable. He's also been horrible at the game outside of challenges. Everyone else was in the same main alliance. I think at this point Natalie's focus has to be more on getting past the vote at 4 than who she sits with at final tribal.

Natalie is getting hotter as the season progresses. She still has a long way to go and will never get there but for sure she is the most improved. I think she came to the beach with just the right amount of fat and as she is shedding it, it's improving her game.

I felt like he was pretty patient with the princess.

One thing we should be learning from this season is to not give your reward to someone else. That isn't working at all.

Oh she's the one with the wacky uterus, I forgot. Lucky ******* gets to dump his load in that with impunity.

Interesting final 5 - seems like there's not an easy obvious winner out of the bunch.

I would think Natalie's has a very good chance if she gets there - I think she'll be smart in front of the jury (and I'm assuming that she'll definitely cop to having played Jon on that Alec vote when making her jury case). She can point to her ability to stay alive in the game even after losing her biggest ally in Jeremy. This seems like a jury (like most recent ones) that will respect gameplay versus emotion. She's also played it pretty smart I think in terms of being on good terms with Baylor and now Keith (by saving him) - she stands a good chance of getting picked for the three (but they should kick her out at 4 if they are smart).

Missy has more respect than perhaps is warranted (I think she's seen as out front in the pair with Baylor when that really isn't the case). Powering through a broken ankle is to be respected. Oddly enough though if she makes it and Jon confronts her on going back on her word she'll probably end up hurting her own case by saying that she had to go with the others and that she didn't want to - which shows you're not leading.

Baylor is seeing as being the back person behind her mom in the alliance, but that's not the case. I think she has a little bit of a tough case in that regard. The vote could be fun at 4 for her and her mom. From a cold calculating perspective which is better - having the thrill of making it to the final with your loved one or putting them on the jury and thus almost certainly adding a vote for yourself? Keeping the pair in the final 3 could be appealing to all of Jaclyn, Keith and Natalie as they all have a guaranteed jury vote (I do think Jeremy voting for Natalie is probably a safe assumption).

Keith's case is a little tougher. The biggest thing that Keith has going for him is that he's been shockingly strong in immunity challenges. I don't think anyone would have figured that going in - hell he's been in jeopardy in this game pretty much the entire time. His case is definitely an "outlast" one. This seems like a bunch (like most recent juries) that is going to value strategy, though, and that's something that very lacking in Keith's game. The likability factor is there (over saying Missy and Baylor especially) so he does stand a chance in some scenarios.

Jaclyn I think has a really hard time winning the vote. There's times when she was able to control Jon and really she led the charge that destroyed the game of the guys alliance by getting Jon to flip with her. But will she really be given credit for that? The Mr and Mrs America thing really seems like it's a liability on the likability factor - it really might be tough for her to get votes other than Jon's. I think her odds are long as she could be the "easy" vote unless she is able to convince both Keith and Natalie to break up that pair.

And a quick note on Jon. Jon is the sort of guy that you invite to your poker game to take his money (he reminds me of someone I played in a home game). He has so much self-confidence that it gets him in trouble and blinds his ability to read others. He did not give Natalie enough credit and it cost him dearly. I think playing the idol and saving himself (at the expense of Jaclyn) woulda been a perfectly fine play there - he seems like he'd be much more likely to get jury credit than she would and probably had a better chance at winning those last 2 challenges. But I can see the desire of keeping that idol for that last use at 5 and the thought that if the alliance betrays you you're screwed either way.

So there's my glurge. Been an interesting season :)

I have watched every season of Survivor.

Survivor Thailand is the reigning champ for boring unmemorable cast members and ####tiest season.

This one takes the cake.

How do you get to a final five this ####ty? This seasons players are so ####ty that Natalie makes one move and is the run away winner.

My god who do you root for? The prototype bitter white trash divorcee'? Her dumb ### kid who has misread everyone and is walking study in approval addiction? The ######ed hillbilly who leaves idol instructions in his bag and accidentally wasted his own kid with his big mouth? The #####y ######less chick who has been right about everything but didn't have the sense to do anything about it. And your winner the disgusting pig who can't go three weeks with out finger banging her twin sister being reducing to a distraught mess.

This is the boringest douchiest loser snoozefest I have seen in years.

It ticks me off because I want Survivor to stay on the air and when they roll out a clunker it just shortens the shows length.

I think it's been interesting enough playing out gamewise since the merge, but I agree the people mostly suck. Rocker was probably my favorite contestant on the season.

Woah, did someone pee in your cereal?
Sorry I am on tilt. This is the worst season ever and then Baloney Sandwich trolled me and I lost my composure.

Missy, Baylor and Natalie turn my stomach and then even though I know no one would enjoy this or find Natalie hot it flashed through my brain and had a mini seizure.

I get what you're saying, but hard to blame the producers for "rolling out this clunker", as you put it. They can't really know how the people will react to each other.

They really need to get away from the food rewards too. What the ####. It used to be you would see some cool national geographic #### and when people got a food reward it was a big deal because they had no food.

Now they are just giving away free bags of rice and every week the reward is food. I can't wait for next weeks riveting episode. Nothing is more exciting that watching people pretend to be starving and eating pizza.

You can see how the budget has gone down in recent seasons.

The only budget that seems to have increased is the one for puzzle pieces.
