Official Terrance Williams, WR, Dallas (1 Viewer)

WR35 going in the 7th/8th. Seems like a good value for a guy that's going to have a lot of opportunities in a pass heavy offense.
I would prefer a talented receiver though, instead of stiff one lacking explosion and speed who happens to be in a good situation.

I just picked up Devin Street super late in a dynasty rookie draft...mostly due to his size (6'3") and he may be an injury away from significant playing time. Roto is all over the board about this guy. Says he has the measurables and he had good numbers at the combine with the exception of his "pedestrian" 40 (4.5). Then they also say he's a diva and isn't tough enough for the short game and doesn't have the long speed to be effective with the long ball.

Does anyone have more, valid info on Street? Terrence Williams is far from proven. Street has good hands as well. Been plenty of "pedestrian" WRs that have been successful in the NFL.

i thought he looked good. Had a couple grabs and continues to look crisp in his route running. The opportunity will be there for him. The Dallas D while only start ing 4 or 5 of the starting D...continue to look like hot garbage. The Cowboys will need to score 30+ points to win games this year.

Williams also had a couple of penalty's which as a Cowboys fan I didn't like, but that won't impact you fantasy wise.

Terrance Williams - WR - Cowboys

Terrance Williams has "done everything asked of him" so far at camp.

"There should be no worry about Terrance Williams as the No. 2 receiver," said beat man Todd Archer. In the first preseason game, Williams had two catches for 19 yards on two targets while playing 18 snaps. He's going to see a ton of single coverage this year while playing every snap opposite Dez Bryant.

Anyone else think he's gonna blow up this year and is being under drafted? With the focus on Dez and the sheer volume of passes we might see from Romo this year I'm all over him in drafts as a WR with high end WR2 upside.

Nah. I like some other wrs around his adp better. Wallace, decker...if he slipped a round or two I would buy

About two weeks ago, I was drinking the Kool-Aid on Terrance big time as I thought the Dallas offence would be huge. But watching this preseason has me very nervous. THey have not looked good. That O-line is a seive. Romo and his back may not last very long before another injury occurs I fear. Their D can't stop anybody so the offence won't get a lot of extra possessions. YEs, they will have to throw a lot, but will Romo have the time to do so? I hope so, but my spidey senses are saying downgrade the Dallas players somewhat all of a sudden. Hope I am wrong. Love watching Dez and Murray play.

I think the 3 WRs Im real high on compared to FBGs rankings are actually TWill, Wallace, and Tate...of course depending on the FBG it depends, but I see all 3 as undervalued...still trying how to figure out how to land all of them on the same roster.

Just been dropped to my waiver wire. I really want to grab him and dump Gordon, but Im loaded at WR, including Dez, and need to save waiver wire priority incase an RB emerges in the first couple of weeks. Frustrating.

What kind if numbers are people projecting for him. Im kind of hoping he has a quiet couple of weeks and I can maybe grab him.

It's asinine to think you're "wasting" WW priority on a guy who is a WR3 with WR2 upside and is going in the 6-7th round, nevermind his actual talent, being on a very good offense, with a stud opposite him to take coverage away.

Sleeper #2

Terrance Williams secured six-of-seven targets for 77 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday night's Week 4 win over the Saints.

Williams took advantage of single coverage opposite Dez Bryant. He was matched up with Saints CB Corey White for most of the game, but scored his second touchdown on rookie Brian Dixon. Through four games, Williams is on pace for 56 catches, 716 yards, and an unsustainable 16 touchdowns. The Cowboys play the Texans in Week 5.

I'm not sure what to think of Williams so far this year. I gave him a 2 year contract so have him for this year and next but not sure if I try to sell based on limited catches but 4 td's already or hold and hope he starts getting more catches.

Only thing I don't get with this guy...why are targets so hard to come by? He's playing opposite Dez. I get he 3rd behind Witten and Dez. Maybe DeMarco too? What's limiting his looks? You would think this team passes enough to get more than 4 targets a game...

Dez

Williams

Murray

Witten

Beasley

Harris

Escobar

That's a lot of competent mouths to feed on what is now a run first team

They'll come. Romo is getting healthier and they'll be playing better offenses than they have to this point.

Plus, IIRC, one of their earlier games they went REALLY run heavy and didn't pass much at all.

Rotoworld:

Terrance Williams caught 2-of-6 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in Dallas' Week 5 win over the Texans.

Amazingly, the score was Williams' fifth in five games. The end-zone dominance has come despite just 26 total targets. Today's touchdown came on a broken play, with Tony Romo evading a J.J. Watt sack before finding Williams 43 yards down the field in the painted area. All the scores have elevated Williams' fantasy profile, but he'll remain a boom-or-bust WR3 until he starts drawing more consistent looks.

This guy's the new age Cris Carter: "all he does is catch touchdowns".

To this point in his career, he's got 10 touchdown grabs on 60 receptions. That's a touchdown every 6 catches.

Given I'd love to see him get more targets as an owner which will happen as Witten phases out, but the td's for now save him most weeks.

Rotoworld:

Dez Bryant caught four passes for 63 yards in Sunday's Week 6 win at Seattle.

Richard Sherman just played his side as he always does, allowing the Cowboys to get Dez Bryant off Sherman Island whenever they wanted. But they didn't shy away, putting Dez on Sherman's side often early in the game (and not throwing to him) and keeping him there plenty late (and throwing at him). Bryant only caught four of 10 targets and had a bomb clang off his hands on a play Byron Maxwell got hurt, but that was expected given the spot. Dez will be an elite WR1 in Week 7 with an easier -- but still difficult -- matchup against the Giants.

Williams caught 2 of 2 passes for 70 yards, including a great tip-toe 22 yard catch on 3rd and 20, which helped set up the winning TD.

Terrance Williams - WR - Cowboys

Terrance Williams caught one pass for an 18-yard touchdown in Sunday's Week 7 win over the Giants.

Williams worked back to a scrambling Tony Romo in the back of the end zone for his lone catch, his sixth touchdown in seven games. It's clearly not a sustainable scoring rate and his volume (five targets last two weeks) has been sapped because Dallas is not getting into any shootouts. It leaves Williams as a mere WR3, even in plus matchups like the one he'll face in Week 8 -- at Washington.

Rotoworld:

Terrance Williams held without a catch on two targets Week 10 against the Jaguars.

Williams got deep for what would have been a touchdown in the third quarter, but Romo underthrew him. After scoring six touchdowns through the first seven games, Williams has been held out of the end zone in each of the last three. He will be a WR3 against the Giants Week 12.

Nov 9 - 4:39 PM

He has the ability, but with Dez and Murray playing so well he's just not getting enough targets. Seems like he mostly runs deep routes to try and keep the safeties out of the box.

Rotoworld:

Terrance Williams (broken fingertip) was "limited" in Tuesday's practice, but is expected to be active for Thursday's game against the Eagles.
Williams will wear a splint for the Cowboys' annual Thanksgiving classic. Williams got off to a scorching-hot start this season, but has just 12 total catches over his past six games.

Rotoworld:

Terrance Williams secured 3-of-6 targets for 92 yards and two touchdowns in Dallas' Wild Card Round win over Detroit.

After missing his first two targets, Williams caught his first pass late in the second quarter, gaining eight yards. He was also flagged for a first-half offensive pass interference penalty on a critical third-and-short. Williams atoned with a monster 76-yard touchdown at the 1:37 mark in the second quarter, narrowing the Lions' lead to 14-7. After dropping a fourth-quarter fade in the end zone, Williams came back two plays later to secure the game-winning eight-yard touchdown pass from Tony Romo. Williams is a role player in Dallas' offense, but he's had his fair share of "clutch" moments this season.

Jan 4 - 7:51 PM

Rotoworld:

Terrance Williams secured 1-of-2 targets for a 38-yard touchdown in Dallas' Divisional Round loss to Green Bay.

He played a key role on each of Dallas' first two touchdowns. Executing a superb flop, Williams drew a critical pass-interference flag in the first quarter, setting up FB Tyler Clutts' one-yard TD catch. Williams gave Dallas the lead by breaking Packers CB Tramon Williams' tackle on a quick-hitch route midway through the second quarter, then taking it to the house from 38 yards out. Unfortunately, Williams was a non-factor in the second half. Williams wrapped up his first regular season as a full-time starter with a 37-621-8 receiving line. A body catcher with limited separation skills, Williams is a "sell" in Dynasty leagues. He would be best suited as a No. 3 receiver in the NFL.

Jan 11 - 4:28 PM

He admitted during OTA's to taking plays off last year and committing to not letting it happen again this year. With a QB who can improvise like Romo, you are darn right you better not take a play off. Also, he is working hard with Dooley the WR coach on his bad habit of body catching. I will admit he looks slightly more polished then last year.

I will be watching him as a potential sleeper for many reasons...

Williams led the nation in receiving in 2012 (1,832 yards), at Baylor, after RG3 became the #2 overall pick.

He turns 26 this year, so he is at an age where he has a few years of experience, but could still have upside.

Rotoworld:

Cowboys WRs coach Derek Dooley said Terrance Williams made a "big jump" this offseason.

With Dez Bryant skipping the offseason, Williams worked at X, Z and slot. "He's expanded his route inventory. ... Every route, every opportunity he had he took advantage of it," Dooley said. Williams' progression as a third-year player and a likely uptick in targets as Dallas' running game regresses make him an interesting pick at his 12th-round ADP.
