I enjoyed it very much. It was spot on.Danny going off on Josh yesterday was pretty entertaining.![]()
still "new" here... who's Danny?Danny going off on Josh yesterday was pretty entertaining.![]()
Danny is Danny Balis, the long time producer of The Hardline show on The Ticket. He also has his own show on Saturdays, and has been/is in several local Dallas bands, namely Sorta and The King Bucks.still "new" here... who's Danny?Danny going off on Josh yesterday was pretty entertaining.![]()
Dutch Oven!Finally a ST win.
Well, that sucks. He was having a nice ST as well.'coolnerd said:Perez suffers injuryhttp://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/03/03/martin-perez-suffers-fractured-forearm/
I think the beat writers like Randy Galloway are trying to make more out of it than it is, just because its been such a quiet off-season. Unless Nolan's health is failing, I don't see him leaving. I think this is just a case of rewarding the guys under him.Bye, bye Nolan???http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/03/04/report-nolan-ryan-could-leave-the-rangers-soon/I did not think much of the title switches last week, and assumed Nolan was in on it, but that might not be the case.
I have no idea. RnR??What could we get from st Louis for Andrus?
Not nearly as much as you could have before when you could have had Bauer and a couple of other good young pitchers and maybe a hitting prospectWhat could we get from st Louis for Andrus?
before what? How about Taveras or miller? Not nearly as much as you could have before when you could have had Bauer and a couple of other good young pitchers and maybe a hitting prospectWhat could we get from st Louis for Andrus?

He's been terrible the past two years. His WHIP has been over 1.5 in three of the past four and he hasn't been OPS+ positive since he was with the Dodgers.Love is the answer but Lowe isn't. Randy Wells probably isn't much better although he's a groundball pitcher who has never has a good IF defense behid himLike the Lowe signing if for no other reason than it slams the door on any Lohse signing and losing the draft pick.
Texas really just needs 3, 4 starts tops from their number five starter, before Lewis comes back. I would rather you take those starts than sign Lohse. He's been terrible the past two years. if that's the case, then i don't see the need to pay that salary. Unless he pitches really well between now and Opening DayLowe is just there to eat some innings in long relief when a starter gets kicked around. He won't be around for long after Colby comes back.... hopefully.
But should be good for Wild Card ... in fact possilbe AL West could have three teams in the playoffs'culdeus said:I still don't have a great feeling going in this year. And the AL really is in shambles with the Red Sox and Yankees both looking to struggle. If the Angels can't put it together with that aging talent then really there is an opening to compete for some hardware. With Houston in the division that's good for a free 4-5 win bump over any of the other AL (not West) teams. More inter-league games means another free 4-5 wins even without Houston in the NL mix since the NL blows. AL West winner could easily smoke 100 wins. I just don't know if 95 will get it done.
just scored a great ticket to the home opener!
He is slated to be a starter. I would expect him to stay in the rotation, even once Lewis returns.Fantasy baseball question for our resident Rangers fans...Is Ogando slated to be in the rotation or bullpen this year?
Cool. That's what I was thinking, but had heard a couple conflicting reports. Wanted to verify here. Thanks, Bogie. He is slated to be a starter. Sorry, just saw this.It does seem like a potential match based on need, though the Cardinals aren't looking to move Taveras or Miller.Matt Adams, Trevor Rosenthal and Carlos Martinez come to mind as guys that could be interesting to you guys if they do pick up talks.I have no idea. Ogando has been brutal this spring. Stay away.He is slated to be a starter. I would expect him to stay in the rotation, even once Lewis returns.Fantasy baseball question for our resident Rangers fans...Is Ogando slated to be in the rotation or bullpen this year?

His numbers are pretty good this spring. 2.95 ERA. Given up 7 ER's in 21.1 innings, 3ER in his first game of 1.1 and another 3 in 5IP two games ago... 3 outs from a quality start. Outside of his first spring start he's been far from brutal.'Disco Stu said:He looked good Sunday though.Ogando has been brutal this spring. Stay away.He is slated to be a starter. Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that the Rangers have reached agreement on a new eight-year, $120 million contract extension with shortstop Elvis Andrus.
I agree, I love the deal. A win/win for both Texas and Andrus. It actually will take him through age 34 as it is an 8-year extension on top of the 2 years he is already under contract for.... Sounds like Elvis will be able to opt out of the deal after 2018.... Hopefully he will want to opt out at that point and they can reup him then...I love the deal. Eight years takes him through 32 years old. All very prime years. Keeps him from being a Yankee, Dodger or Angel. Your left side of the infield is locked in for the next 3 years.
Well hopefully Wash learned his lesson on Lowe. Leave his butt in the bullpen unless the game is out of hand early on. Hurry up and get healthy Colby!Lowe is just there to eat some innings in long relief when a starter gets kicked around. He won't be around for long after Colby comes back.... hopefully.
