So far I like it, but this pansy wood elf only has 150 encumbrance.

I thought it was interesting that every body had either a 1 for 2 trade or a 2 to 3 trade (bonus attribute to negative attribute) EXCEPT for the Orc which had the 2 for 3 trade BUT also had a 1 for 1 trade at +5/-5.

If you're going tank, there's absolutely no question it should be an Orc.

I'm with you in that I like the Melee guys the best. I'm not sure if I will go with the Ranger the first time around. I may go with a brawler for round 1 and then a marksman for round 2. We'll see.....But I won't be buying anything for a few weeks. I gave up buying anything other than necessities for Lent.

Can't do it. Tried to give up this very thing last year and bought a 50 inch widescreen LCD. So this year tried it again. Oh, and that TV is also my computer screen. Did I mention the 575 watts of surround sound that is also hooked up to my computer? I can wait....

I hate Orcs too. In the past I always got caught up in min/maxing my toons so I probably would have played the Orc, but more recently I've just gone with what I think will be fun. It's single player afterall. Not like it really matters .Installing it now. Looks like my BF2 time is going to take a hit.

LOVE that card. I put it in a computer I just built for me for gaming exclusively. BF2 is absolutely gorgeous with it, and I can only imagine how pretty Oblivion will look with HDR enabled on it.Newegg has it cheap.

Eh, the $$$ isn't as important as the hassle involved in taking the damn thing apart to install a new MB and convincing my wife that it's necessary. Cheaper is better, all considered, since that does affect the WAF, but money isn't the limiting factor.

1: The main reason I had a hard time getting into Morrowind was that when it came to fighting mobs, you never knew if they were too high a level for you to fight. Walk into an area you shouldn't be in and boom, dead, no chance. :( Ideas on how to avoid getting frustrated with Oblivion?

2: Drifter, how is it you knew about this hidden room? Cheat boot, forum, other? Help?

3: The desktop I built in Dec..think it will be good enough?

Simply cannot beat the price for performance. Now, you can get an AGP card that performs similarly, but you will pay $300, so you actually save money by upgrading. For that matter, if you sell your old mobo, CPU and vid card on eBay, I bet we could grab a new CPU, say the San Diego 3700+ 939 pin (then we would have to change the mobo, but no big deal) for the same price after your eBay sales. The 3700+ is about $200.

If you like fantasy and RPG, this is the Lord of the Manor, so to speak. I am actually thinking I should keep it only at work so I have BF2 at home and on the weekends. I am still loving that game, as well, but I doubt I can do that. The save games I can transport back and forth on one of my jump drives and play that way.

BTW - I found this really rare root in the waterfront district and was sent on a quest and am now on the other side of the continent looking for more to create an uber-potion for buffing. I still need to finish clearing out the bandit/zombie dungeon, too. lol
