***OFFICIAL***The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion thread (2 Viewers)

some guy at the xbox forum says he finished it in 90 hours...
But what's the fun in finishing it that fast? I have not gone beyond visiting Kvatch at this point.BTW - You gonna just get Oblivion for the 360 now?

Man, waiting til lvl 21 to go to Kvatch is not a great idea.

Nothing but Storm Atronachs, Spider Daedra, and the alligator looking ones(cant remember the name)

3.5 hours for this quest? Im about 30 mins in, heading to the tower now. The only thing really bad so far are the atronachs, and thankfully I remembered I have a few full staves of cold and fire to blast them with.Grabbing the 20 dmg claymores there is pretty sweet too.

H(ow)TF are you supposed to fight 3 Spider Daedra, 2 Storm Atronachs, 2 Dagoths, and 2 Xianthis at the same time?

EDIT TO ADD: Theres more crap AFTER Martin? Yikes.

Im also playing a Spellsword, but went alot more heavy on the fighting, choosing a Nord over the Breton. He can fight excellently, but having 40 INT is very limiting.

How the freak are you supposed to get Magicka up so high? I have seen spells that require over 400 Magicka, and since INT is capped at 100 naturally, it seems pretty hard to get it up much more than that, even with racial bonuses.

Also, is there ever a time when you can add more than 1 effect to a magical item created? I see items in the game with multiples, but whenever I try to enchant an item, I only get one shot. :kicksrock:

Magicka requirements decrease as your knowledge of the spell's school increases.

Ooh, interesting. So as Destruction goes up, Magicka comes down? Nice.Edit to say any idea on the multiple enchantments?

The only thing I've been able to put multiple enchants on are weapons so far. You just have to have a big enough soul to cover it

If youve got the Soul, and a weapon cool enough to handle it, you can get the enchantments.Daedric and Ebony weapons enchant better than a Steel or Iron for example.

Hmm. I might try an experiement, then. Elven armor is not doing anything special for me.

I just started this at lvl 23 today. I was getting my ### kicked until I started using the Greater Staff of Fire -- then I was mowin mother####ers down. I had to quit playing earlier but I think I am almost done with it. I just told homie that the Count is dead and he said we can't leave until we get his ring. I hope I'm nearly done, anyway....this quest is a royal beeeyotch.

Just finished it after taking a break. Got a nice surprise the first time I went back to town as I ended up with a 1000 bounty on my head for apparently wiping out a few guards in Kvatch with area magic spells. Makes you kind of wonder how it got reported I killed them if no one saw...

Been too busy to post :nerd:

But at gogamer.com, the game is selling for $35 during their 48 hour madness sale.

Can't put URL in, must get back, pulling me in...

I already encountered the MD crew in teh sewers early on when I was trying to get the 4th book....I hope this $21K ring is after that, because none of the guys I killed then had anything that valuable....

What quest thread is that? Mages? DB?

re: The Blade of Woe and how much it sucks --

I just found out that it gets "unlocked" when you finish all the DB quests. Supposed to be crazy powerful. Hold on to it!

You can't get rid of it even if you wanted to.

have you finished the DB quests?
No, but I was going to drop the blade just to clear up some of the clutter in my inventory and I was told I can't drop it.I'm on the quest to kill the retired Imperial Captain of the Guard.

It might have something to do with me being lvl 23 while doing it. I dont know if his drop is specific or random.

Its 35% reflect/50% resist magic.

Did anyone else notice that you can't kill certain people. When you attack them they are just unconcious. I assume they are people that are primarily related to a quest.

Those people have a "Crown" icon when you target them and yes, they are plot and unkillable.
