***OFFICIAL The Leftovers, New HBO show Thread *** (1 Viewer)

Finally caught the finale, thought it was good enough way to end the season/series. The second to last episode was fantastic, as were the ones focusing on the preacher and Nora. I could use a little less of the mute chain smokers dressed in white, and a little more of the daughter undressing. I found it pretty hard to get into this show, Rectify/Ray Donovan/The Bridge were all much more appealing slow play dramas in my opinion. Maybe I just need to get stoned before Leftovers.
I guess I haven't changed much in the past year.

Really liking this much better than S1 so far. I'm not creeped out by any means but for some reason I got goosebumps every time Patti showed up.

1. I love this show.

2. I hate that as soon as I heard the first few notes of that Pixies song, I thought of Tanner.

3. This is best ####ing TV show thread on this forum.

After pretty much hating on this show at the beginning of season 1, it actually really grew on me.

Finally watched the first episode of this season. Kind of crazy, but I'm liking it even more so far.

Well it looks like next week will have things back on track.

Does the son have powers or did he and his mom make the story up to help keep the group?

Made it up. Right?
That's how I took it with the mother's "let's give them a reason" earlier.

Noticed the "R" for rape parental advisory at the start. Thought maybe after Liv had her fun those two dudes were gonna flip him over.

What was with that cave woman opening to the first episode.
Probably a metaphor for what is happening this season? Also showing the origin of that town. Maybe also showing the occurrence of earthquakes there?

The title of that episode was "Axis Mundi", which means World Axis or even Cosmic Axis (duh). In some religions, it's considered a gateway between Heaven and Earth. At least according to Wikipedier.

Who sang the version of You're the One That I Want at the end of the episode? That made me laugh.

So the water disappeared to save him and the girls were collateral damage? Or maybe they disappeared to balance out the town?
the father is involved somehow, right?

What's the menstruation situation of women in a catatonic state? I gotta say, my regular viewings of "Big Bang Theory" don't make me wonder about this.
