***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (2 Viewers)

The slaughter scene over the trough was pretty intense in the beginning even though you knew none of them would get killed. Did anyone else think of ISIS?

Who was the blonde guy at the beginning? Rick knew him.
from the house early in Season 4.. Rick and Carol met him and he had a woman with him... he had the dislocated shoulder
Was it the same actor, though? The original actor from Season 4 is playing the Penquin on Gotham now, by the way.
They just confirmed on The Talking Dead it was the character and same actor.
Yep, saw that. :hifive:

Love it. Great start to the season. My son noticed the blonde guy right away because he looked at Rick. We figured it out after we rewound it. I was actually thinking we would see a sneak of Beth right at the end instead of Morgan, but that was cool.

I understand why Terminus became what it was, but it was great having them get what they deserved.

If they ever introduce Nagen, I hope they don't ruin him too.
That might have been our introduction to Nagen at the end of the episode.
Don't read this if you don't want to learn about something in the comics. I don't read them, but I did see some images that showed a big scene in the comics around this guy. No idea if it will ever happen or this guy will even be in the show, but you were warned.

I don't read the comics, but I did stumble upon some images based on some googling of Glen's death in the comics since someone told me about that. I think it was Nagen that killed him. I tried to stay away, but once I saw the damn image, I had to look at them. That said, when we saw that guy in the freight car, that is exactly who I thought about. One thing that also made me think about that was the "bat" that the butcher used because Nagen used a bat to kill Glen in the comics.

Wait, I didn't put this together, but on the Talking Dead, they said that the tatooed guy they let out was one of the guys who took over Terminus from Mary and Garreth. Was that obvious? I must have missed that. I need to check that out again.

It's probably the biggest scene in the comics and I'll be interested in seeing how they handle it on the show, if they go there.

I also gathered that from the flashback at the end of the episode.

I'm happy that we finally got to see Tyreese's defining moment. Those that read the comic knows that there was a part where they tried clearing a gym full of walkers while in the prison, Tyreese went a little crazy and attacked the whole group like a kamikaze. They assumed he didn't survive, but checked the next day (or however long it was) and he was sitting there with all the bodies with a sort of "what took you guys so long" look to him.

(updated with accurate account of what happened. It's been awhile since I read it.)

They had the flashback at the end where he was one of the ones when the termites were herded up in the RR cars and the women were being selected for their random rapings.

I don't read the comics but Tyreese is a bad ### in the comics right? I keep waiting to see some of that on the show. Maybe now we will.

I didn't think it was obvious. Also curious why they would keep him alive that long. I could understand if they wanted to torture him but he seemed ok and just locked up.

Great episode.

At this point the characters have diverged so much from the comics that it's hard to really compare the two sources.

I thought Tyreese already had his killing spree moment (when he got out of the car, everyone ran off thinking he was dead, only for him to reappear).

I really liked what they did with the terminus arc. Somewhat humanizing the cannibals. Part of my issue with this show is how quickly people become awful,

Who was the guy talking in the train car at the end to the lady? That lady was telling the truth however they were taken over by those others... right?

Was Morgan apart of Terminus? If he was... his style of traps were in the woods.

they only did that scene so it would make the cannibals a little more sympathetic seeing they become part of ricks group later

The guy? You mean Garreth? Or the other one? Pete I think was his name. He was the one Rick grabbed during the BBQ.

And no way Morgan was part of Terminus. He was following the signs to get there.

Only?

:lmao: No. I don't think anybody watching Walking Dead would somehow think of ISIS while enjoying the show. Maybe it is me and I need to watch more 24 hour news, but I am glad i can enjoy the show for what it is
