So if Beth comes back will there be a big fight between her and Tyreese to see who gets to take care of the baby?

ETA - if there is my money's on Beth.

I didn't watch The Talking Dead. For those who did, was Slash as bad as I expect him to be? The celebrity guests seem to be about 95% awful with a few exceptions.

He was fine, was smart enough not to talk much. Gareth did 90% of the talking (surprise).

Ya gotta love how zombies can tear down a fence line but can't break a window without a considerable amount of effort and numerous zombies.
In season 1, the zombies could climb fences and used rocks to break glass. The writers realized their errors and made them more stupid. Walkers are more of an annoyance except when they are in large numbers. Then they become a threat.

what was/is the reason the group split up? seems unlike Rick to let Glen go, they've been together since the 2nd or 3rd episode
That part didn't make sense. Big dumb guy couldn't wait an extra day after they killed the threat, especially considering that would give them even more people to go to Washington with them? Dumb

I think it made sense. Abraham correctly determined there was a significant threat nearby. He wasn't going to d**k around and possibly get Eugene killed. I think he also was probably hoping everyone would want to get the hell out of Dodge once they saw people were being eaten but he was prepared to go with just the three of them if it meant getting Eugene somewhere safe.

Plus, while we had the benefit of knowing which Terminus people were left, Rick and Abraham would have no idea if more people could be out there.

Another gotcha zombie moment...in the woods...looking around...check through the scope and WHAM...two zombies a foot away. Love that these things can walk through woods over leaves and limbs without a sound.

I didn't read the comics but if Tyrese's character was even remotely likable...they've ruined him on this show. I honestly just cannot stand him now. Sissy @zz waste of a human...sure, he'll eventually graduate to bad@zzery but I'm done with him. And that pained, effeminate look he had when Rick and crew were taking care of business...damn. These writers should be ashamed for turning an actor who gave us Cutty into this wimp.

So Bob was bitten afterall...not on the side or a leg...but up on his freakin' shoulder and NO ONE knew?

Glad they didn't drag on this Termite nonsense...

But honestly...the Termites know who's left in the church so they decide it's somehow OK to enter the front door...and stroll straight down the aisle? Ridiculous...NO ONE would do this...even if they were certain most of the guns were gone...even one gun in that church and you're all eating lead.

Decent overall episode...thankfully they're not dragging out this new "hunt for the missing girl" angle while we camp out, like they did in season 2...
Thought the same things about Michone in the woods and Bob being bit. I can give it a pass though.

Tyrese is conflicted. He knows what he has to do to survive but can't bring himself to do it. He's almost there. I think almost anyone would struggle with killing another person.

The Termites, especially Gareth, were overly confident. They knew it was the preacher, who would do nothing, Karl (a kid), Tyrese the wimp, a baby, mullet and a few women. They could easily overwhelm Abraham.
Abraham wasn't in there initially, just Rosalita

So it's established that a bite causes death.
It's an infection. A staph infection would also cause death. Or a heart attack.
So a penicillin shot after a bite would save you.
Gee, why didn't Herschel think of that?
Trying to understand the rules for the show. Ive seen people get shot, stabbed, beaten to a pulp without any worry of infection. But somehow a bite means you are dead in a few days.
The biters have a special sort of bacteria. Re: penicillin. It has to be refrigerated in liquid form. All gone bad by now except the dry.
:goodposting: think Rattlesnake bite... Penicillin ain't going to help.. :bye:
Special form of bacteria? Is this speculation or is proven in the show? There are plenty anti-biotics that are effective a year after they are made.

No idea. Repeated from what was said pages ago.

The question was about penicillin so I went with that.

Is it true that most viruses and bacteria die at fever temperatures?

Its a virus, which antibiotics do nothing for.

When people die the virus is triggered in the brain then spreads to the body which is why a bite from a live person does nothing, and a walker bite transfers the virus. Not sure what happens if Bob woulda bit someone.

But yeah,to me its pretty clear there is no cure for a walker bite.

Just my take.

Wait. Zombie bites can kill you? When did this become a thing?
Season one, Andrea's sister. Chomp!
That could not have been a serious question. No wonder he complains about everything. He has no idea what is even going on.

The entire undertone of the show revolves around the fact that it only takes one second or one slip up and its over for you.

If a ####### zombie bite didnt kill you this thing would never have come close to destroying the world.

I'm anxious to find out who is with Daryl when they showed him at the end. My guess is it was Beth and Carol is dead. I am thinking the "Beth scenes" we have seen on the previews will be flashbacks.

It wasn't a serious question, GB. And I don't complain about anything. If you ever see me posting something that looks like a complaint, it's actually me being sarcastic because I'm stunned that people think a show about zombies isn't realistic enough.

May have mixed u up with someone.

I don't think it was Beth or Carol in the woods with Daryl. IIRC, the way he talked to whoever it is..."Get out here" instead of "You can come out". He has a prisoner.

Maybe Morgan?

But the virus is already present in everyone. Everyone is already infected and it gets activated when you die. So just getting bit doesnt transfer anything, its already there.

Bites kill everyone. Not one person survived a bite, not even when it first started and there was good medical treatment. This is common knowledge.

Now WHY the bite kills everyone is open to interpretation.

Herschel survived a bite.

Or like i said, the virus is in the brain and is released at death to the body.

A walker bite would immediately spread it to the body of the person bitten and cause death. No known cure

Ok, nobody who had their limb chopped off right after. Huge difference.

The audio was horrible but last night's episode was also unusually dark. I know, it's night and all but the picture just looked "off". Could barely tell what the heck was going on.

When they did the "In Memoriam" bit on Talking Dead, the picture was a lot clearer.

Weird.

Can't wait 'til next week, though!

Heck yeah. Been great so far. Sucks waiting a week for each episode. Every other series i pretty much just wait till seasons are over and then watch at a mucb faster pace than that.

Not this one. Cant go more than 24 hours past the air date knowing a new episode is sitting there for my viewing pleasure.

I have seen way too many zombie movies. Wasnt sure what to think of this when it came out but every season has exceeded my expectations.

So, when will we see Maggie and Glen again? Did them leaving happen in the comics?

The show is going to go down hill fast if Maggie is not on screen.
