***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (5 Viewers)

A dead pool game gives you a different perspective on the show but it's kinda fun, especially with the Carol and Eugene near death cliffhanders following the Bob death at the buzzer. Different spin on what next week's previews show.

Would suggest if you have a circle of like 3-5 people that you talk abiut the show with.

I read enough into the comics to know Mullett was fulla crap, but didnt wanna spoil that for the group that cant handle spoilers, yet read a thread where spoilers are 100% inevitable.

Abe was about to off himself. That I sure didnt see coming.

*Fixed

Only 2 episodes left until the "break" .. So figure we get caught up on what happened to Carol and Daryl on their :drive: and the Mullet group joins back up with the gang back at the Church and make plans to get Beth..

Still not one mention from Maggie about her sister.

If you had a Walking Dead drinking game where you had to drink every time that Maggie appears to show any concern for that fact that her younger sister has been kidnapped by persons unknown in the middle of the zombie apocalypse, then you'd have the worst drinking game ever.
I'd be willing to bet she has no clue that Beth was taken, or even survived the prison attack.
You would lose. Daryl, who was with Beth when she was kidnapped, was with the whole group at the church. Unless you think Daryl just forgot to mention oh hey, your sister is alive, but she was kidnapped a few days ago.

So Abrahams family deserted him because he was too crazy in the new world and then they promptly get killed? Is that what happened or did I totally miss that. I was pretty hammered last night.

I still think a good ending to the show would be for the group to encounter a huge military presence at the border and find out that the whole event was isolated to an area in Georgia.
Abraham saved Eugene from zombies in Houston before they headed to GA.

Looked like humans that he killed in the diner, not zombies right? Looters maybe?

That and he couldn't control his temper. Those men raped his wife while he was out on a supply run. He went nuts and killed them... and he may have took it out on her a little too. But whatever happened, she feared for her and her kids so much that she was willing to try it away from him. They made it just outside the front door.

That is what the flash back was about. They explained it on Talking Dead.

It was on Talking Dead. I don't normally tune in but I caught that part of it. Guess they're trying to make that show "must watch" by giving plot info in it.

If she thought Beth had died, you would think she would have been grieving for her. Or show some concern

I havent mentioned them once for a spoiler ya turd.

guess ill need to watch this episode again, was drinking heavily I don't remember half the stuff that's being mentioned

Oh. That makes a ton more sense. Although it's kinda dumb they couldn't have just made that clear during the episode. Wait, not really. If the wife was gangraped by that group while Id agree a killing rampage wouldn't be the best choice, it's certainly understandable under the circumstances and one would think eugene's wife would think, "yeah, my husband is a bit nuts... But when he's not around I get raped. Probably need somebody like him in this apocalyptic world where apparently morality is shucked aside."

That's why I think he may have beaten her up a little too. He's definitely a hot head.

Eugene is dead and soon so will Abraham be
Is this a fortune cookie?

That was a brutal beating, but I don't think Eugene is dead. Will be interesting to see how the group handles Abraham now. And how Abraham handles the loss of the one thing that gave him a purpose.

With no agenda to lead his own mission, he could become a loyal soldier for Rick. Or he could go completely off the rails.

Ive been wondering if they've been leaving things more vague or if I'm just missing more details. The rape detail isn't *too* important, was that shown in the comics or is it only something you'd get from TD?

I thought it was interesting that the hot chick soldier had her hand on her gun when she was trying to calm down Abraham. They panned down to show his bloody hand (still wearing his wedding ring) after he hit Eugene and it showed she was ready to pull her gun if she needed to.

Lots of stuff there in this episode. Abe had blood on his hands from his flash back from killing those guys. He feels responsible for his family's deaths (blood on his hands). She bandages his hand early in the episode and it keeps getting bloody (also on the fire engine). He shows a little crazy when he giggled on top of the fire engine reading the message on the ground by the hosed walkers.

Hot soldier knew of his back story and about his temper. She didn't know if he had snapped over Eugene's confession but was prepared to take action to stop him from killing friendlies. Now she is nervous he will lose it after losing his purpose for going on. They need to reunite with Rick's group and discover a new purpose for Abe, stat. Although, him tapping hot soldier might help him with having a purpose to live.

Are you talking about his "place with walls" comment? That was from Noah in the hospital and I posted about that after that episode. I don't read the comics, but that wasn't a throwaway line from Noah. I wasn't expecting Abraham to go nuts on Eugene yet. I never believed his story, but it was surprising he told his story that quickly. I have no idea if they are going to try to go to DC or not now, but I am thinking that happens maybe more because of Noah than Eugene. I can't recall exactly what Noah said, but he mentioned he was from Richmond and, I think, that the place with walls was around DC. I thought that was foreshadowing for Abraham's group, but now I am not sure.

Great episode. Really great episode. Loved the Abraham back story stuff. I don't read the comics so didn't know Eugene was full of it but that wasn't a huge surprise. Where that group goes from here will be interesting. My guess is back to find Rick and Co.

Eugene watching Abraham and Rosita going at it was  . Also loved how Tara got herself a quick peak too.

This has been such a strong season. Can't wait to see what goes down with Daryl and Carol next week.

Same here. And he may have a shot at turning Tara if Rosita is in the deal. The group may have to throw in Maggie to keep his services around. Now that would be some good tv right there.

Just a break until after the holidays.. Not sure on when it returns, just that there are two episodes left until the break and it will be back after the 1st of the year. :kicksrock:

A couple of thoughts:

-Thought Abraham was going to off himself at the end of the show. He was going to off himself after his wife and kids died, but Eugene gave him a "Mission". A soldier is pretty useless without a mission. Now that he found out that there

is no mission, I thought he was going to eat a bullet.

-I don't try to nitpick everything on the show, but c'mon a firetruck? Yes, let's take the most gas guzzling, requires the most maintenance, vehicle we can find when we really need a dependable car that runs.

:lmao:

By the way, The Talking Dead was sensational last night. That's the way it should always be - having people connected to the show. I'd say 1-2% of the celebrity guests are OK. The rest range from hot garbage to pathetic. But a show like last night with two cast members and GunnerGale is the way it should be every week.

Well you just ruined my day so thanks for that!

:P

When they first introduced Abraham I thought he was a rube (I haven't read the comics) and wondered what all the hype was about over his character. After his performance in the church massacre and this week's episode, he is now one of my favorite characters. Dude is nuts but he is badass. I wondered why he believed and followed Eugene like a puppy... but he was all-in on that mission. It kept his mind off of what happened to his family. And it would give him a sense of redemption if his efforts helped lead to a cure and a new beginning for the world, even if it was all in his mind.

As it is now, he may not have a filter and is free to be the badass killing machine we all know he can be.

Yeah Abraham is a great character and he's one of my favorite characters on the show now too. Cudlitz has been terrific in the role.

I just looked it up, November 16th, 23rd, and 30th will have new episodes and it looks like the one on the 30th is the midseason finale.

One episode for the Beth rescue and to find out who is with Daryl, one episode for the shortbus crew to go back to church, one episode for Judith.

Yet, it wasn't mentioned until he said something to Carol about it when they saw the vehicle. Daryl's held it to himself.

edit: I forget I can't say anything I know in here. Think what you want.

Right. Only comment Daryl ever made is to tell Rick she was "Gone. She's just gone." Death implied, IMHO.

I loved the Bike Comment last night. Imagine if they all had bicycles. How come we've never seen a Bike or a Moped?
Rick rode one in the first episode of series.

Somehow I think Tara knew that. I think her lesbian feelings are being tested by BadAss Rick Grimes. Then again she does fist bump all the guys.
