***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (3 Viewers)

I loved the Bike Comment last night. Imagine if they all had bicycles. How come we've never seen a Bike or a Moped?
A mode of transportation that's fuel efficient and easy to get around roadblocks and doesn't jeopardize the whole group if one gets in an accident? No way!

Rick rode one in the first episode of series.Somehow I think Tara knew that. I think her lesbian feelings are being tested by BadAss Rick Grimes. Then again she does fist bump all the guys.
I liked how she went over and took a little peak herself after Mullett chat. Nice touch

Yeah I thought that was a great scene too.

Alanna Masterson will be on Talking Dead next week. Can't wait.

Oh. That makes a ton more sense. Although it's kinda dumb they couldn't have just made that clear during the episode.

Wait, not really. If the wife was gangraped by that group while Id agree a killing rampage wouldn't be the best choice, it's certainly understandable under the circumstances and one would think eugene's wife would think, "yeah, my husband is a bit nuts... But when he's not around I get raped. Probably need somebody like him in this apocalyptic world where apparently morality is shucked aside."
That's why I think he may have beaten her up a little too. He's definitely a hot head.
Even so it's better to get beat up a little than raped/murdered.

Case in point: Carol.

Still not one mention from Maggie about her sister.

If you had a Walking Dead drinking game where you had to drink every time that Maggie appears to show any concern for that fact that her younger sister has been kidnapped by persons unknown in the middle of the zombie apocalypse, then you'd have the worst drinking game ever.
:lmao:

-I don't try to nitpick everything on the show, but c'mon a firetruck? Yes, let's take the most gas guzzling, requires the most maintenance, vehicle we can find when we really need a dependable car that runs.
That also carries 500 gallons of the most important thing people need to survive.

So when Beth and Maggie do see each other, it will be a very casual "Hey" from each other. No hugging, no touching, no kissing

I wonder if they are going to come up with a creative way to kill zombies next week? Rhetorical question.

so, by all means, wash a bunch of zombies with it

Which Eugene used to kill a few zombies

Yeah Abraham is a great character and he's one of my favorite characters on the show now too. Cudlitz has been terrific in the role.
Really enjoying "Chicken" Cutliz's performance on the show. Yes, that nickname would be funnier if he was black.

I like that stuff. It's a zombie show. Sometimes I just wanna see zombies rain down upon people in a store or see them get blown up or blown away by a fire hose. I'll let the Eugene's of the world figure out how plausible any of that would be. I'll just appreciate the cool factor.

A steam roller would be awesome. And a wood chipper. And maybe a couple of trucks with wire stretched between them so they can zoom by a herd lopping off heads.

He's a stupid idiot and anyone that follows him are idiots too. He will get people killed.
:goodposting:

"This goober with a mullet and hick accent keeps talking about the human 'gee-nome' project and other book lookin' words...sounds legit. Let's risk a whole bunch of lives escorting him to DC."

I swear I saw one of these off in the distance in the fields as Abraham was trying to convince everyone to keep moving in the same direction. Thought that was how they were gonna plow through the hordes of walkers.

Was there anything shown which actually suggested Abraham beating up his wife?

His haircut and love of tank-tops?

So Abrahams family deserted him because he was too crazy in the new world and then they promptly get killed? Is that what happened or did I totally miss that. I was pretty hammered last night.
That and he couldn't control his temper. Those men raped his wife while he was out on a supply run. He went nuts and killed them... and he may have took it out on her a little too. But whatever happened, she feared for her and her kids so much that she was willing to try it away from him. They made it just outside the front door.
wait, what?
That is what the flash back was about. They explained it on Talking Dead.
I'm really disliking that they're doing this more and moreso lately.

The episode doesn't fully tell the story so they use "Talking Dead" as a fix to cover those issues...

I don't know of any other show that gets away with this...

Yeah, Talking Mike & Molly didn't take off the way that they had hoped.

It was on Talking Dead. I don't normally tune in but I caught that part of it. Guess they're trying to make that show "must watch" by giving plot info in it.
This seems right. Kind of annoying.

No. Just like there was nothing shown suggesting she was being raped by those guys Abe killed.

That was weird to not show that at all yet thats what he said on TD???

Daryl told Maggie what happened to Beth in the voiceover during the opening of the season premiere.
I sit corrected.
Same. I missed that. Discussion on Twitter with one of the writers a couple of weeks ago said that Maggie wasn't aware, but that wouldn't make sense with that exchange.
Or maybe that exchange hasnt happened yet.
Between Daryl and Maggie or something else. The one between Daryl and Maggie definitely occurred. Maggie definitely knows Beth was taken by people in a black car with a cross on it.

It's from the comic book.

I still don't understand her being scared enough of him to run away.

I'm still trying to figure out what happened with the church bus? Buckminster Fullet says he put ground glass in the fuel line. I'm not much of a mechanic but that would be enough to cause a complete lack of control? And I'm glad to see the stunt coordinator from "CHiPs" was available to set up the "stalled vehicle turns into jump ramp" gig.

Didn't he say the fuel line failed around the spark plugs or something?

A couple of thoughts:

-Thought Abraham was going to off himself at the end of the show. He was going to off himself after his wife and kids died, but Eugene gave him a "Mission". A soldier is pretty useless without a mission. Now that he found out that there

is no mission, I thought he was going to eat a bullet.

-I don't try to nitpick everything on the show, but c'mon a firetruck? Yes, let's take the most gas guzzling, requires the most maintenance, vehicle we can find when we really need a dependable car that runs.
Yeah, me too. When he dropped to his knees I thought they were going to show him in the background and the rest in the foreground where it would show him pulling out a gun and blowing his head off in front of them.

A combine would be the weapon of choice to go thru that wave of walkers this past week. Just chew em up and spit them out.

maybe he will kill Eugene first then off himself

How can anyone say this was a solid episode?

Out of all of the houses in the world...these guys come to Rick's house...awesome.

We have Rick hiding under a bed...then, after the guys fight...another guy jumps on the bed and sleeps...Rick decides to slide out the only side that has the guy's foot dangling from it. Then, end up ducking into a bathroom because a guy comes upstairs only to find a guy on the toilet...instant struggle and NO ONE in the house hears all this ruckus...banging, kicking, fighting, knocking stuff down.

Rick slips outside and here comes Carl and Michonne...thankfully new dude doesn't see them....but we need to pull him away...oh, I know...instant zombie in the house that everyone has been hanging out in for days...ugh.

Now, cause Rick didn't cut the throats of those sleeping dudes and take the gun and kill the other two...we're gonna have this crew chasing them for a while.

Handlebar mustache follows Glenn down the road...so does hotbody...leaving "the most intelligent and important man on the planet" all by himself.

Super genius "accidentally" shoots and kills the truck...how long before we find out this was somehow his plan?

Why would Michonne feel it necessary to keep Carrrl from finding out about the dead family? The kid has seen untold horrors...is it really a big deal at this point? "Hey Carl...dead family in this room...looks like they offed themselves...consider it cleared."

How does that conversation between the lesbian and handlebar mustache even happen? I know why I'm here...why she's here...what he's doing and that guy's motivation...but why are you wanting to take this guy to D.C.? I don't know...maybe because I'm TIRED OF THINGS TRYING TO BITE ME! It's completely unnatural and contrived.
I was going to say that the show is telegraphing it's punches too much but then I was completely lost on the reasoning behind Abraham's family leaving him. My son and I just sat there confused...but we've gotten used to just shrugging our shoulders with this show.

Then they clean it up on "Talking Dead"...I guess we should thank them for at least fixing it after the fact but what's wrong with doing it in the episode? It would've only taken a quick couple seconds to give us some context on Abraham smashing those dudes and family bailing.

Oh, spark plugs? That explains everything.

And just feet from a wandering horde of zombies...instant classic...next week they'll do a spoof on "Three's Company" with Abraham playing Jack Tripper to Rosita and Tara.

Yeah but I don't really get that either. The glass somehow compromised the fuel line near the spark plugs which caused an explosion?
